Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fire extinguishing method and a fire extinguishing apparatus, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a fire extinguishing method using a gas, in which a sufficient human evacuation time is ensured without impeding fire fighting activities, The present invention relates to a fire extinguishing method and a fire extinguishing apparatus that are advantageous in terms of cost.
[0002]
[Prior art]
There are several places where the use of liquids should be avoided as a fire extinguishing means. For example, a museum, a computer room, a semiconductor manufacturing factory, a food storage, etc. These places can be devastated by spraying and contacting a large amount of liquid during a fire, even if the fire is small.
[0003]
From such a viewpoint, extinguishing a fire with a gas without using a liquid is now being performed. For example, gas fire extinguishing with a halogen-based gas such as perfluoroalkanes or carbon dioxide is typical, and many techniques related to this are proposed (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-39603, Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-33686). Gazette, Japanese Patent Publication No. 8-17832, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-237907, etc.).
[0004]
However, the use of a halogen-based gas has a problem on the global environment, and the use of carbon dioxide has the following problems. Ie:
(1) Carbon dioxide is difficult to diffuse in the air and easily accumulates downward, so that the fire extinguishing efficiency is poor.
(2) Carbon dioxide is highly reactive and may cause harmful carbon monoxide.
[0005]
Therefore, a technique using nitrogen, which occupies approximately 80% of the atmosphere, as a fire extinguishing gas is also known. Nitrogen occupies most of the atmosphere and therefore has almost the same density as the air density, easily diffuses into the air, and has low reactivity. In the event of a fire, nitrogen is oxidized to nitrogen oxides, but the amount is negligible and has little effect on the human body. For these reasons, expectations for using nitrogen gas for fire extinguishing are increasing.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the nitrogen gas extinguishing currently in practical use, it is necessary to install a plurality of nitrogen gas pressurization containers (nitrogen cylinders) in the vicinity of the target fire extinguishing area, and a space for that purpose must be provided. The costs associated with the purchase and storage of nitrogen cylinders are not negligible. In addition, nitrogen gas ejected from a nitrogen cylinder at the time of a fire can drastically reduce the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area, and therefore strictly control the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area assuming the presence of humans in the fire extinguishing area. There is a need to do. Furthermore, if a large amount of nitrogen gas is blown into the fire extinguishing area after a person has evacuated, the oxygen in the fire extinguishing area may rapidly decrease and hinder fire fighting activities.
[0007]
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a fire extinguishing method and a fire extinguishing apparatus that are sufficiently advantageous in terms of the size and cost of facilities without sufficiently hindering the fire fighting activities in fire extinguishing using gas. is there.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies, the present inventor has been able to solve the conventional problems as described above. That is, the present invention resulted in a compressor that takes in and compresses air in a fire extinguishing zone, and an oxygen-adsorbing liquid that adsorbs oxygen contained in the compressed air compressed by the compressor to generate nitrogen-enriched air. A fire extinguishing apparatus comprising a circulation path for circulating the nitrogen-enriched air into the fire extinguishing zone,
A human body detector or a surveillance camera for confirming the presence of a person in the fire extinguishing area;
The compressor can be changed in operating speed to high speed or low speed,
When a fire occurs in the fire extinguishing area, start the compressor, operate at high speed and rapidly reduce the oxygen concentration in the extinguishing area to a predetermined concentration,
When the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area reaches a predetermined concentration, confirm the presence of humans in the fire extinguishing area,
When human presence is confirmed in the fire extinguishing zone, the compressor is operated at a low speed to reduce the pressure of compressed air entering the oxygen-adsorbing liquid, and the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing zone is set to 12 to 12 At 15%,
When no person is present in the fire extinguishing zone, the compressor is kept at a high speed without operating at a low speed, and the pressure of the compressed air entering the oxygen-adsorbing liquid is increased, and the fire extinguishing is performed. It is an object of the present invention to provide a fire extinguishing apparatus characterized in that the oxygen concentration in the area is made lower than the oxygen concentration maintained when human presence is confirmed in the fire extinguishing area .
The present invention, oxygen adsorption of the liquid is at least one of those compounds represented by the following general formula (1) to (7), or Co, Cu, a porphyrin complex with Zn dissolved or dispersed The fire extinguishing apparatus is provided .

[0011]

[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is intended for extinguishing a relatively sealed space (extinguishing area). When a fire occurs, the air in the extinguishing area is sucked to convert the air into nitrogen-enriched air, and the fire is extinguished. By returning to the area, the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area gradually decreases, so that the fire can be extinguished slowly. According to such fire extinguishing, people in the fire extinguishing area can evacuate quickly with sufficient oxygen concentration at the initial extinguishing stage, and fire fighting activities are not hindered. At a subsequent stage, the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area further decreases, and the fire moves in the direction of extinguishing. In a further stage, the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing zone is reduced to a concentration at which the substance can no longer burn, and a complete extinguishing is done.
[0013]
First, the fire extinguishing method of the present invention will be described.
In the event of a fire, the air in the fire extinguishing area is first sucked and compressed by a compressor or the like. The compressed air comes into contact with the oxygen-adsorbing liquid. This liquid adsorbs oxygen contained in compressed air to generate nitrogen-enriched air. Examples of this type of liquid include the compounds represented by the general formulas (1) to (7), and artificial blood, fluorine-based liquids, porphyrin complexes having Co, Cu, Zn, or Fe, and the like. And are preferred for the purposes of the present invention. Here, artificial blood means a liquid that substitutes for the overall function of blood, but it may also be a liquid that has only an oxygen carrying function. Artificial blood is known in many types and is commercially available. Moreover, as a fluorine-type liquid, the brand name "Fluorinert 721" by 3M company is mentioned, for example. This fluorinate can also be used as artificial blood.
[0014]
Oxygen contained in the air in the fire extinguishing area is removed by contact with the oxygen-adsorbing liquid as described above, and nitrogen-enriched air is generated. This nitrogen-enriched air is returned back into the fire extinguishing area, and the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area decreases. The oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing area should be reduced as follows.
[0015]
Fire extinguishing early stage-oxygen concentration around 15%. At this concentration, humans can evacuate quickly from the fire-extinguishing area.
Fire extinguishing stage-oxygen concentration 10-15%. At this concentration, the fire goes to fire suppression. Even if the oxygen concentration is 10 to 15%, humans can perform activities such as evacuation and fire extinguishing. Therefore, it does not interfere with the activities of the fire brigade after the human evacuation (in the past, it was thought that humans would become cyanosis or died at an oxygen concentration of 15%, but now the oxygen concentration is 10-15. % Have not been confirmed to pose a danger to human life).
Final stage-Oxygen concentration 0-10%. At this oxygen concentration, combustion of the material is not possible.
[0016]
The oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing zone can be controlled by the pressure of the compressed air entering the oxygen adsorbing liquid. When the pressure of the compressed air entering the liquid is high, the oxygen concentration in the fire extinguishing zone decreases rapidly, but conversely, when the pressure of entry is low, a gentle decrease in oxygen concentration is obtained.
[0017]
In addition, it is preferable that nitrogen-enriched air can be efficiently obtained from the compressed air by bubbling the compressed air into the oxygen-adsorbing liquid and simultaneously stirring the liquid.
[0018]
Furthermore, if the liquid can be reused by a liquid deoxidizing material, it is preferable because a large amount of air in the fire extinguishing area can be processed.
For example, when a liquid containing hemoglobin, hemocyanin, or a phthalocyanine complex is used, oxygen can be easily released and reused by reducing the oxygen partial pressure in the ambient atmosphere. When a fluorinated liquid is used, if the liquid is subjected to reduced pressure, oxygen is released and the liquid can be reused.
As the oxygen-adsorbing liquid, a liquid in which a porphyrin complex having Co, Cu, Zn, and Fe is dissolved or dispersed may be used.

Further, as shown in FIG. 2, a path from the tank 2 to the module 30 may be provided so that the liquid 21 in the tank 2 can be reused.
For example, in the case of regeneration of artificial blood having adsorbed oxygen, the module 30 is formed by forming an oxygen permeable membrane such as a Si membrane into a cylindrical shape having a diameter of about 1 to 10 μm and providing a hollow portion as one unit. For example, about 10,000 to 100,000 units are assembled. Such modules are generally known. In this case, a module is produced so that artificial blood flows into the hollow part of the unit. When artificial blood is introduced from one end of the module 30 and the oxygen partial pressure is lowered, the artificial blood is separated from the oxygen through the oxygen permeable membrane, and can be reused. Returned to tank 2.

[Action]
The present invention extinguishes a relatively sealed fire extinguishing area with nitrogen gas, and it is one of the advantages that it can be reduced while controlling the oxygen concentration in the extinguishing area. As described above, the oxygen in the fire extinguishing area is sufficient for quick evacuation in the initial fire extinguishing stage.
Moreover, since nitrogen gas is almost the same as the air density, it is easy to diffuse, and conventionally, it is useful for extinguishing a complex shaped article that does not reach the liquid. Places where the present invention can be suitably implemented include PET bottle rack warehouses, general offices, cable tunnels, etc., in addition to the above-mentioned museums, computer rooms, semiconductor manufacturing factories, and food storages. In particular, in a fire in a PET bottle rack warehouse, the amount of heat generated by the plastic is large, so that only the water from the sprinkler has little fire-extinguishing effect. In addition, in order to obtain nitrogen-enriched air, it is only necessary to remove oxygen from the air, so there is an advantage that the work amount is small. Furthermore, the use of artificial blood in the present invention is advantageous because it can remove all substances harmful to humans, such as CO 2 , CO, NOx, SOx, soot, HCN, HCl, and the like.

【Example】
(Example 1)
As shown in FIG. 2, 200 liters of fluorinate represented by the above general formula (5) is used as the oxygen-adsorbing
On the other hand, the florinate is passed through a module 30 filled with a number of hollow fiber follow fibers, which is an example of an oxygen permeable membrane. When the florinate passes through the module 30, it is hollowed by a decompression pump (not shown) connected to the outside of the module 30. The outside of the yarn follow fiber is depressurized to 10 mmHg or less, and the concentration of fluorinate containing oxygen and other toxic gases is lower on the outside of the hollow fiber follow fiber than on the inside, so oxygen and toxic gases are removed outside the hollow fiber follow fiber. The
Fluorinert after deaeration in this way is returned to the tank 2 again. A cooling trap (not shown) is provided outside the module 30, and the fluorinate that partially vaporizes and exits the hollow fiber follow fiber is liquefied by this cooling trap and returned to the tank 2 again.
In addition, when a 30 cm × 30 cm × 10 cm fire pan was placed in a relatively sealed room (fire extinguishing area) 40 of 3 m × 3 m × 2 m, and n-heptane was burned in this fire pan, After the start of operation, the nitrogen concentration in the room increased rapidly, reached 85% in about 5 minutes, and extinguished in 8 minutes. The oxygen concentration at that time was 10%, and the temperature and humidity in the room were 25 ° C. and 50%, respectively.
