Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine fuel injection control device, and more particularly to an engine fuel injection control device that starts an engine by manually rotating a crankshaft.

[0005]
In a motorcycle fuel injection device equipped with a kick starter, fuel injection may be performed before the crank reference position is determined in order to improve engine startability. For example, fuel is injected only once when a predetermined number of crank pulses generated at every predetermined crank angle are counted, and thereafter, fuel is injected at a set position with reference to the crank reference position. There is also known a starting device that drives a fuel pump by stepping on a kick pedal prior to starting to inject fuel by increasing fuel pressure (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-18659).
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the kick starter, when the kick force is small or the initial piston position is far from the compression top dead center, the piston cannot get over the top dead center of the compression stroke where the friction is large. On the other hand, since fuel injection by the injector is performed in the intake stroke, the injected fuel remains in the cylinder without being burned unless the piston exceeds the compression top dead center. For this reason, there is a case where the fogging of the fuel to the spark plug occurs and the engine startability is deteriorated.
[0007]
The object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and even in a case where the piston cannot get over the compression top dead center due to a miskick or the like, the startability of the engine is not lowered at the next starting operation. A fuel injection control device is provided.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a fuel injection control device for an engine that is started by human power, a sensor that outputs a crank angle signal having a pulse width representative of a crank angle for each predetermined angle, and a top dead center of a piston. A crank pulser that outputs a crank pulse signal once per engine revolution at a position corresponding to the top dead center of the intake stroke and combustion stroke that have passed through the engine, and the crank pulse signal is that of the intake stroke or that of the combustion stroke And when the crank pulse signal is from the intake stroke after cranking starts , the pulse width of the crank angle signal when the crank pulse signal is output is Pulse width judging means for judging whether or not the reference pulse width of the crankshaft is less than or equal to a point that can overcome the point; and Starting pulse width of the rank angle signal, it starts the operation of the fuel injection amount immediately after determining completion by the pulse width determination means in the case of less than the reference pulse width, the fuel injection valve during operation of the fuel injection amount while not performing fuel injection is, the pulse width of the crank angle signal, there is a first feature in that and a control means for pausing the fuel injection in the case of more than the reference pulse width.
[0010]
According to the first feature, in the cranking by the human power, that is, the kick start, the pulse width of the crank angle signal of the predetermined crank angle in the intake stroke or the rotation time of the predetermined crank angle can overcome the compression top dead center. Fuel is injected when the reference angular pulse width is not exceeded. Therefore, fuel is not injected unnecessarily at the time of a miss kick or the like, and it is possible to prevent the fuel from being fogged to the spark plug by unburned fuel.
[0011]
Further, according to the present invention, the control unit includes a fuel injection amount calculation unit and a drive unit that drives the fuel injection unit with a duty corresponding to the fuel injection amount calculated by the calculation unit. A second feature resides in that when it is determined that the pulse width of the crank angle signal is equal to or greater than the reference pulse width, fuel injection is substantially stopped with the duty set to zero.
[0012]
According to the second feature, the drive part of the fuel injection valve is controlled in the same manner whether the pulse width of the crank angle signal in cranking is equal to or larger than the reference pulse width, and the fuel injection amount is simply controlled. Fuel injection is substantially halted by simply setting it to zero.
[0013]
Furthermore, the present invention has a third feature in that it is used for an engine including a fuel supply pump driven by a power source common to the fuel injection valve .
[0014]
According to the third feature, since the electric power used for useless fuel injection can be saved, the saved electric power can be used for driving the fuel pump. Therefore, even if the start fails in the first cranking, a sufficient fuel pressure can be obtained by supplying sufficient power to the fuel pump in the next cranking.
[0015]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing a main configuration of a motorcycle with a kick starter including a fuel injection control device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Although not shown here, the motorcycle includes a fuel supply system having a hardware configuration similar to that shown in FIG.

Therefore, one cycle of the engine consisting of intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust is defined by 720 degrees and 24 stages. The number of crank angle signals 5 indicates the number of stages, and the

FIG. 5 is a flowchart of the fuel injection determination process. This process is executed every time a crank pulser signal is detected. In step S1, it is determined whether or not the crank reference position has been determined, that is, whether or not the
[0022]
If step S2 is affirmative, it is determined in step S3 whether or not the pulse width (time) T17 of the crank angle signal corresponding to the 17th stage is longer than the determination reference time Tref for fuel supply cut. The reference time Tref is a reference value for determining whether or not the crankshaft is rotating at a speed sufficient for the piston to overcome the compression top dead center.
[0023]
If the pulse width T17 of the crank angle signal is longer than the reference time Tref, it is determined that the crank angular speed is small (low rotation), and the process proceeds to step S4. On the other hand, if the pulse width T17 of the crank angle signal is shorter than the reference time Tref, it is determined that the crank angular speed is large (high rotation) and the piston can exceed the compression top dead center, and the process proceeds to step S5. In step S4, a fuel injection suspension flag Ffc is set (= 1). In step S5, the fuel injection suspension flag Ffc is cleared (= 0). In step S6, a fuel injection routine for executing calculation of the fuel injection amount and fuel injection based on the result is executed.
[0024]
FIG. 6 is a detailed flowchart of the fuel injection routine (step S6). In step S61, the fuel injection stop flag Ffc is determined. When the flag Ffc is “0”, the process proceeds to step S62, and the fuel injection amount is calculated. The fuel injection amount is calculated based on engine parameters such as the throttle opening, engine speed, and engine water temperature, and is represented by the valve opening duty of the
[0025]
FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating main functions of the Fi-
[0026]
In the above-described embodiment, the fuel injection is paused by setting the valve opening duty to zero. However, the fuel injection amount is not completely reduced to zero, but the fuel injection is substantially reduced to a pause. It only has to be allowed.
[0027]
The above has been described according to an example in which the present invention is applied to a fuel injection control device for a motorcycle engine. However, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment, and can be similarly applied to an engine other than a motorcycle, for example, an engine-driven generator including an engine that is started manually.
[0028]
According to the first to third aspects of the invention, when it is determined that the crank angular speed sufficient for the piston to overcome the compression top dead center cannot be obtained by cranking by human power, the fuel injection is stopped. Therefore, the fogging of the fuel to the spark plug can be prevented and the startability is improved.
[0029]
In particular, according to the second aspect of the present invention, the fuel injection valve can be driven with the same control function both when the fuel supply is executed and when the fuel supply is stopped, so that the control is simple.
[0030]
Further, according to the invention of claim 3 , it is possible to reliably start the engine with sufficient fuel pressure in the next start after the start failure without wasting power used for fuel injection.

Pulse width judging means for judging whether or not the reference pulse width is equal to or smaller than a reference pulse width;
When the pulse width of the crank angle signal is equal to or smaller than the reference pulse width , the calculation of the fuel injection amount is started immediately after the determination by the pulse width determination means, and the fuel injection valve is operated during the calculation of the fuel injection amount. A fuel injection control device for an engine, comprising: control means for suspending fuel injection when the crank angle signal has a pulse width greater than or equal to the reference pulse width while performing fuel injection by being activated .
The control means comprises a fuel injection amount calculation means and a drive means for driving the fuel injection means with a duty corresponding to the fuel injection amount calculated by the calculation means,
When the pulse width determining means determines that the pulse width of the crank angle signal is greater than or equal to the reference pulse width, the duty is set to zero and fuel injection is substantially stopped. The fuel injection control device for an engine according to claim 1.
