Description
【0001】
[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a glass mat suitable as a crack preventing material for cement-based materials.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the biggest technical problem for cement-based materials such as mortar and concrete is the generation of cracks due to drying shrinkage. There are two types of cracks: a crack that causes a decrease in mechanical strength of mortar and concrete, and a hair crack that is not directly related to a decrease in mechanical strength. However, hair cracks allow moisture to enter the interior of mortar and concrete and cause problems such as corrosion, neutralization, and frost damage of steel materials, etc., and indirectly deteriorate the durability of cementitious materials. .
[0003]
As one countermeasure against these cracks, it has been studied to add a fiber material to a cement-based material. When a fiber is added to the cementitious material, the shrinkage of the cement material is hindered by the tensile force of the fiber and cracks are reduced, so that the mechanical strength of the cementitious material is improved.
[0004]
Examples of fiber forms include chopped strands, chopped strand mats in which chopped strands are two-dimensionally bonded, continuous strand mats in which continuous fibers are two-dimensionally bonded, or mesh fabrics (nets) made from continuous fibers. Conceivable.
[0005]
Chopped strands are usually added and used when kneading mortar and concrete constituent materials, so work is easy and they are dispersed in the mortar and concrete constituent materials. In some cases, the fluidity of the resin is remarkably lowered, workability is poor, or non-uniform.
[0006]
On the other hand, chopped strand mats, continuous strand mats or mesh fabrics are used by laying near the surface layer when mortar or concrete is applied. In recent years, it has been widely used because it has a large crack prevention effect and does not affect the fluidity of the matrix.
[0007]
In particular, the chopped strand mat or continuous strand mat has a dense two-dimensional random orientation of the fibers, so it has a large adhesion area with the matrix, and can uniformly disperse the tensile force of the fibers in all directions, thus preventing cracks. Is attracting attention because it is expensive.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, as a kind of fiber used for such a use, although there exists organic fiber or glass fiber, E glass fiber is preferable when the cost side is considered. However, although E glass fiber is inexpensive, it has poor alkali resistance, so it is eroded by an alkaline substance eluted from the cement component, and the required tensile strength cannot be obtained.
[0009]
In addition, chopped strand mats and continuous strand mats are made by bonding chopped strands or continuous fibers with polyester, acrylic resin, etc., and are generally used as plastic reinforcing materials. When used as a reinforcing material, the impregnation of mortar or concrete into a glass mat is low, so the surface state is poor and the crack prevention effect is reduced.
[0010]
This invention is made | formed in view of the said situation, and it aims at providing the glass mat excellent in the alkali resistance and excellent in the crack prevention effect of mortar and concrete.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of repeating various experiments to achieve the above object, the present inventor has obtained a chopped strand mat or a continuous strand mat produced by adhering an alkali-resistant glass fiber with a water-soluble polymer as a reinforcing material for a cement-based material. As a result, it was found that the strength deterioration of the glass fiber was small, the impregnation property of the cement material into the glass mat was remarkably improved, and the crack prevention effect was excellent, and the present invention was proposed.
[0012]
That is, the glass mat of the present invention is characterized in that glass strands composed of continuous glass fibers or short glass fibers containing 14% by mass or more of ZrO 2 are two-dimensionally bonded with a water-soluble polymer.
[0013]
[Action]
In the glass mat of the present invention, glass strands made of continuous glass fibers or short glass fibers containing 14% by mass or more of ZrO 2 are bonded two-dimensionally randomly with a water-soluble polymer. Improves the impregnation of concrete and is excellent in preventing cracks. That is, since the glass fiber used for the glass mat contains 14% by mass or more of ZrO 2 , it has excellent alkali resistance. If the glass mat using this is used as a crack preventing material for cement-based materials, The glass fiber is not easily eroded by the alkaline substance, and the generation of cracks can be suppressed. In addition, a chopped strand mat or a continuous strand mat that is two-dimensionally bonded with water-soluble polymer on a mortar or concrete containing a lot of water is placed, and the mortar or concrete is impregnated with a defoaming roller, When averaged, the water-soluble polymer that adheres the glass strands to each other due to moisture in the mortar or concrete dissolves and the glass strands are dispersed, so that the impregnation of the mortar and concrete into the glass mat is significantly improved. This is because the bonding area between the glass fiber and the matrix increases.
[0014]
The specific composition of the alkali-resistant glass fiber that can be used in the present invention is, by mass, SiO 2 54 to 65%, ZrO 2 14 to 25%, Li 2 O 0 to 5%, Na 2 O 10 to 17%, K 2 O 0-8%, RO (where R represents Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn) 0-10%, TiO 2 0-7%, Al 2 O 3 0-2%, preferably, SiO 2 57~64%, ZrO 2 18~24%, Li 2 O 0.5~3%, Na 2 O 11~15%, K 2 O 1~5%, RO 0.2~8% , TiO 2 0.5~5%, an Al 2 O 3 0~1%.
[0015]
The water-soluble polymer used in the present invention, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl methyl ether, vinyl polymers, cellulose and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, ethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose polymers such as hydroxyethyl cellulose, casein, proteins such as gelatin Polymers, sodium alginate and starch are preferred.
[0016]
The glass mat of the present invention has a glass strand count of 10 to 100 tex, preferably 10 to 80 tex in the case of a chopped strand, 50 to 100 tex in the case of a continuous strand mat, and the count of the glass strand is smaller than 10 tex. When unraveling the glass strand from the cake, fluff frequently occurs, the glass mat is likely to be clogged, and the aggregate becomes difficult to pass. On the other hand, if it is 100 tex or more, the basis weight becomes too large, the cost is increased, and the thickness of the glass mat is increased.
[0017]
Basis weight of the glass mat, 50 to 200 g / m 2, preferably 50 to 150 g / m 2, and 50 g / m 2 less than reduces the adhesion area of the glass strand between a low tensile strength of the glass mat, This is not preferable because tearing is likely to occur during construction. On the other hand, if it is larger than 200 g / m 2 , it is bulky and the openings are not sufficient, so that the impregnation property is low and it is easy to peel off at the interface between the glass mat and the matrix, and the crack prevention effect is poor.
[0018]
The ignition loss of the glass mat of the present invention is 2 to 25% by mass, more preferably 2 to 15% by mass. When the amount is less than 2% by mass, the glass strands are not sufficiently bonded to each other, and the glass strands are not easily bonded to each other during handling. On the other hand, if the amount is more than 25% by mass, the water-soluble polymer is not sufficiently dissolved by the water in the mortar or concrete before the hardening of the mortar or concrete starts, so that it becomes easy to peel off at the interface between the matrix and the glass fiber. It is not preferable.
[0019]
【Example】
Hereinafter, it demonstrates in detail based on the Example of this invention.
[0020]
Table 1 shows Examples (Sample Nos. 1 to 7) and Comparative Examples (Sample Nos. 8 to 10) of the present invention.
[0021]
[Table 1]
[0022]
The glass mats of the examples in Table 1 were produced as follows.
[0023]
First, Si0 2 61.0 mass%, ZrO 2 19.5 mass%, Li 2 O 1.5 mass%, Na 2 O 12.3 mass%, K 2 O 2.6 mass%, CaO 0.5 mass%. A molten glass having a composition of 2.6% by mass of TiO 2 is spun so that the average fiber diameter is 13.5 μm, and an applicator is used on the surface of the molten glass to reduce the ignition loss to 1. After coating so as to be 0% by mass, the yarns were split so as to have the strand counts shown in Table 1, and wound around a paper tube and dried at 130 ° C. for 10 hours to prepare a cake.
[0024]
Next, the strands were unwound from the cake and the chopped strands cut to a length of 50 mm were sprayed on the stainless steel mesh so as to have the basis weight shown in Table 1, and the ignition loss shown in Table 1 Thus, after spraying the solution-form water-soluble polymer, it hold | maintained at 120 degreeC drying furnace for 1 hour, and the chopped strand mat of Examples 1-5 was obtained.
[0025]
Further, the strands are unwound from the plurality of cakes, the rovings wound up to 2000 to 2500 tex are placed on a rotary outside stand, and the rovings unwound from the outer periphery of the wound rovings are removed from the rollers. Using a spray machine that sprays by rotation and air pressure, sprayed on a stainless steel mesh so as to have the basis weight shown in Table 1, and further sprayed a solution-like water-soluble polymer so that the ignition loss shown in Table 1 was obtained. Thereafter, it was kept in a drying furnace at 120 ° C. for 1 hour to obtain continuous strand mats of Examples 6 and 7.
[0026]
The concrete specimen was produced as follows. First, a 600 × 700 × 4.5 mm steel plate welded with a reinforcing bar (mesh bar) with a space of 50 mm and a diameter of 5 mm is laid in a wooden formwork. 578kg / m 3, the maximum particle diameter 5.0mm 578kg / m 3 sensors, pouring river gravel maximum particle diameter 25mm concrete obtained by kneading 578kg / m 3 and water 249kg / m 3 to a thickness of 50mm It is.
[0027]
Next, the glass mat shown in Table 1 was laid on the surface of this concrete, the concrete was averaged, and the glass mat was embedded at a position 5 mm from the surface, and then left at 20 ° C., 60% RH for 24 hours. And dried and hardened to prepare a concrete specimen.
[0028]
Comparative Example 8 is an example except that chopped strands of E glass fiber having a strand count of 50 tex were used, and the basis weight was 100 g / m 2 and polyester was sprayed as a secondary binder so that the loss on ignition was 16% by mass. Concrete test specimens were produced in the same manner as in 1-5.
[0029]
In Comparative Example 9, a chopped strand of alkali-resistant glass fiber having a strand count of 38 tex was used, and the basis weight was 150 g / m 2 , and polyester was sprayed as a secondary binder so that the loss on ignition was 10% by mass. Concrete specimens were prepared in the same manner as in Examples 1-5.
[0030]
In Comparative Example 10, a concrete test specimen was produced in the same manner as in the Example except that the glass mat was not used.
[0031]
The width and length of cracks generated on the surface of the concrete specimen thus obtained were measured, the area of each crack (crack width × crack length) was determined, and the sum of these was taken as the total crack area.
[0032]
In order to examine the alkali resistance of the glass fiber, the strand of the alkali-resistant fiber and E glass fiber composed of 400 monofilaments (144 tex) having a fiber diameter of 13.5 μm was mixed with an alkaline solution (80 ° C., 10 mass% NaOH). As a result of measuring the tensile strength before and after immersion in accordance with JIS R 3420, the tensile strength retention of the alkali-resistant glass fiber strand was 80%, and that of the E glass fiber strand was 1%. The tensile strength retention rate (%) = tensile strength after immersion in alkali solution / tensile strength before immersion in alkali solution.
[0033]
As is clear from Table 1, Comparative Example 10 in which no glass mat was used had many cracks and the total crack area was very large. Further, Comparative Example 8 has a smaller total crack area than Comparative Example 10, but because polyester is used as a secondary binder, the impregnation of concrete into the glass mat is low, and the total crack area is still large. Since the E glass fiber is used, the tensile strength of the glass fiber was remarkably deteriorated. Since Comparative Example 9 uses alkali-resistant glass fiber, the tensile strength of the glass fiber is hardly deteriorated, but since polyester is used as the secondary binder, the impregnation property of the concrete into the glass mat is low, and cracks are generated. The total area was large.
[0034]
On the other hand, since Examples 1-7 used the glass mat which consists of an alkali-resistant glass fiber adhere | attached with the water-soluble polymer as a secondary binder, the tensile strength of glass fiber was hard to deteriorate and the crack total area was small.
[0035]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, when the glass mat of the present invention is used as a reinforcing material for cement material, the impregnation property of the cement material is remarkably improved and the crack preventing effect is excellent. It can also be applied to soil concrete.
