Description
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus for forming a photosensitive layer by winding a photosensitive sheet supplied from the inside of a hollow support around the surface of the hollow support, and forming an image on the formed photosensitive layer.
On the other hand, as a method of transferring the developed image on the photoreceptor layer to the transfer material, the photoreceptor drum and the transfer material are pressed and contacted so as to obtain a stable transfer image regardless of the type of transfer material and the environmental change, There is a pressure transfer method in which the toner particles on the surface of the photosensitive drum are transferred to a transfer material using the adhesive force of the toner particles. For example, in an image forming apparatus that can realize a full-color image having a texture similar to that of offset printing by using a liquid developer, a transfer image with higher image quality than an electric field transfer method that causes an image flow due to the presence of a carrier liquid. Therefore, this pressure transfer method is adopted.
At the time of transfer by this pressure transfer method, the transfer roller as a transfer material is in pressure contact with the photosensitive drum, so that the developing roller is used when passing through the slit position or the discontinuous portion between the photosensitive sheet and the cap portion. In the same manner as above, there is a risk of causing fluctuations in the rotational speed of the photosensitive drum by causing an impact on the photosensitive drum.
Moreover, at the time of transfer by this pressure transfer method, the surface speed of the photosensitive drum is set to be about 2-3% faster than the surface speed of the transfer roller. That is, the surface of the photosensitive drum is always subjected to a tangential force from the transfer roller at the contact position with the transfer roller. For this reason, when the transfer roller passes through the slit position or the discontinuous portion between the photoconductor sheet and the cap portion, the photoconductor drum is subjected to a greater impact due to the tangential force applied to the variation due to the step of the transfer roller. May occur, and the rotational speed of the photosensitive drum may fluctuate more greatly.
In an electrophotographic image forming apparatus for forming an electrostatic latent image by scanning and exposing on a photosensitive layer a minute light focused to several tens of μm by a laser beam, an LED print head, or the like, as described above, If the rotational speed of the drum changes, even a slight change may cause a shift in the exposure position on the photoreceptor layer, which may lead to degradation of image quality that can be recognized visually. Such image quality deterioration due to the speed fluctuation of the photosensitive drum appears mainly as streak-like density unevenness and is generally referred to as jitter, banding, and the like, which significantly impairs the image quality.
Accordingly, the present invention solves the above-described problems, and contacts the photosensitive drum around the photosensitive drum formed by winding a photosensitive sheet around a drum-shaped substrate to form a photosensitive layer, or close to the photosensitive drum. To reduce the fluctuation when the roller passing through the slit of the photosensitive drum or the discontinuous portion between the photosensitive sheet and the cap portion, and by reducing the impact generated on the photosensitive drum, An object of the present invention is to provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a good high-quality image without image unevenness by rotating stably.
As a means for solving the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a hollow support having an image forming region and non-image forming regions on both sides of the image forming region, and a slit formed in the image forming region, and the hollow A photoreceptor sheet wound around the surface of the image forming area of the support to form a photosensitive layer on the surface of the hollow support, a developing device for forming a developed image on the photosensitive layer, and the developed image on the photoreceptor layer An image forming apparatus including a transfer member for transferring the image to a transfer medium, a roller disposed at a position facing the photosensitive layer with a gap from the photosensitive layer, and coaxial with the roller and the roller A first rotating body disposed on both sides of the first rotating body and in contact with the photosensitive layer; and a first rotating body that is coaxial with the first rotating body and attached to a position facing the non-image forming area on both sides of the first rotating body. The first time Body is the one in which said hollow support in contact with the non-image forming region provided with the second rotating member for spacing said first rotary body from said slit when it passes over the slit.
According to the present invention, the first rotating body is in contact with the photosensitive layer formed by winding the photosensitive sheet around the image forming area of the hollow support and is positioned at a position facing the non-image forming area of the hollow support. By providing the second rotating body, when the first rotating body passes through a non-continuous portion such as a slit in the image forming area, the second rotating body is brought into contact with the non-image forming area of the hollow support body, It is possible to prevent the rotating body from colliding with the discontinuous part. Therefore, by reducing the fluctuation of the first rotating body that occurs in the discontinuous portion, the impact generated in the hollow support body and thus the rotation fluctuation of the hollow support body can be reduced, and the image unevenness accompanying the rotation fluctuation of the hollow support body can be prevented. Good high-quality images can be obtained.
In the present invention, in order to reduce the fluctuation of a roller when a roller in contact with or close to a photosensitive drum having a photosensitive sheet wound around the drum passes through a discontinuous portion of the photosensitive drum, Auxiliary gap rings are provided on both sides of the roller so as to be coaxial with the roller and face non-image forming areas on both sides of the photosensitive drum.

Each of the
Further, the
The developing
A liquid removing
Downstream of the
The
The
A
Next, the holding of the slight gap of about 0.2 mm between the developing
The developing
In order to accurately maintain the developing gap between the
Further, auxiliary gap rings 24 made of polyacetal resin, which is a second rotating body, are attached to both sides of the
As a result, as shown in FIG. 5, the gap rings 23 of the developing
Here, in order to accurately maintain the gap between the
However, when the width of the
As described above, even when the winding accuracy of the
Accordingly, in order to accurately maintain the gaps between the developing
Next, as shown in FIG. 7, a transfer gap made of a polyacetal resin, which is a second rotating body, on both sides of the
As a result, the
The
Next, the operation will be described. When the image forming process is started, the
Further, a yellow (Y) toner image is formed on the
During the process of forming a full-color toner image on the
When the developing
At the position of the
In this way, the full color toner image formed on the
When the full color toner image from which the carrier liquid has been removed reaches the
At this time, as shown in FIG. 8, the

For example, a dry developer may be used. However, the number of developers and the type of color are not limited. Further, the method for winding the photoreceptor sheet around the hollow support is not limited. For example, a photoreceptor sheet having the same length as the circumference of the hollow support is used, and both ends of the photoreceptor sheet are formed on the hollow support. The photosensitive sheet may be wound around a hollow support so as to be fixed to the slit. The first rotating body may be a sponge roller that removes excess developer, a cleaning roller that removes residual toner, or the like as long as it is close to or in contact with the hollow support.
Further, the material, size or structure of the second rotating body is not limited. For example, in the above embodiment, the diameter of the auxiliary gap ring attached to the shaft of the developing roller or squeeze roller is set to dg <ds = The relationship dg + 2ts may be satisfied, or the diameter of the transfer gap ring attached to the shaft of the intermediate transfer roller may satisfy the relationship dg <ds <dg + 2ts. Further, the auxiliary gap ring and the transfer gap ring may be configured by winding an elastic body such as a rubber layer around the outer peripheral surface of the metal bearing.
