Vout=if・(1/jωCf)
Vout=1/2・(ΔC/Cf)・VDD+V0

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a detection circuit and a detection method for detecting various physical quantities, and more particularly to a capacitance detection circuit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional detection circuit for detecting various physical quantities, there is a current measuring device disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-145748. FIG. 10 is a circuit diagram of the current measuring device.

[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, this detection circuit of the prior art pays attention to the type of power source required, in addition to the two power sources of ± VDD supplied to the
[0007]
When power is supplied from the outside to such a detection circuit, connection terminals, cables, PAD (electrode terminals), etc. for connection to the outside must be provided in the detection circuit for the number of systems. The design effort is also increased, leading to increased costs.
[0008]
On the other hand, when a necessary power supply voltage is supplied internally, it is necessary to provide a D / A converter, a voltage generation circuit, and the like in the detection circuit as in the prior art. For this reason, there is a problem that the circuit scale becomes large and the current consumption also increases.
[0009]
Such drawbacks regarding the number of connection terminals, the circuit scale, current consumption, and the like become a very serious problem when the detection circuit is to be incorporated into a small and light electronic device.
[0010]
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and an object thereof is to provide a capacitance detection circuit and a detection method that operate only with two or less power sources. That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a capacitance detection circuit or the like whose current consumption is suppressed and whose circuit scale is reduced, and which is suitable for incorporation into a small and lightweight electronic device. .
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, a detection circuit according to the present invention includes an operational amplifier feedback circuit, and the feedback circuit includes at least a first impedance element, an impedance converter having a high input impedance and a low output impedance, and a first circuit. A signal line connected to the impedance element and the impedance converter, and one terminal of the detected capacitance can be connected to the signal line, and the two input terminals of the operational amplifier are virtually The potential Vi is maintained by a short circuit, and the other terminal of the capacitance is connectable to the ground or the power supply voltage line of the operational amplifier. Note that “virtually short-circuited” means that when the input impedance between the inverting input terminal and the non-inverting input terminal of the operational amplifier (op amp) is very high and can be regarded as ideally infinite, these two inputs A state in which the terminal potential difference is almost zero.
[0012]
Here, the impedance converter is, for example, a voltage follower. Also, the terminal opposite to the signal line of the detected capacitance Cs is connected to either the ground or the positive / negative power source of the (operational amplifier) operational amplifier, and in particular, it is connected to another power source. Avoid.
[0013]
Then, an input impedance element such as a resistor is connected to one input terminal of the operational amplifier, and the terminal on the opposite side of the input impedance element is connected to the potential Vi. As a result, although the current actually flows by a slight amount corresponding to the input offset, the potential difference between both terminals of the input impedance element becomes almost zero, and current consumption is suppressed.
[0014]
The potential Vi is a value between two power supply voltages V1 and V2 supplied to the operational amplifier, for example, (V1 + V2) / 2. Specifically, when the power supply voltages V1 and V2 are two power supply voltages to an operational amplifier such as an operational amplifier and a voltage follower, that is, + VDD and −VDD, respectively, the potential Vi can be a ground potential. This eliminates the need to prepare another potential as the potential Vi.
[0015]
The power supply voltages V1 and V2 may be a power supply voltage to an operational amplifier operating with a single power supply, that is, + VDD and ground, and the potential Vi may be VDD / 2. In any case, by directly using the two power supply voltages of the operational amplifier and dividing by a resistor or the like, the potential between the two power supply voltages can be easily obtained, and this may be used as the potential Vi.
[0016]
In order to stabilize the circuit operation, the signal line is connected to the potential Vi through a high-resistance element, that is, an element having a high resistance value such that a current flow is negligible in the detection circuit. Preferably, the signal line is fixed to the same potential (for example, ground) or the signal line is covered with the potential Vi or a shield line connected to the ground.
[0017]
The detection circuit further includes the high resistance element as described above connected to the signal line, and the output terminal Vout of the detection circuit is connected to another terminal different from one terminal of the high resistance element. May be.
[0018]
In the present invention configured and realized as described above, detection is possible as long as the capacitance changes only slightly in time with respect to the steady state, and the frequency of normal sound waves such as a condenser microphone is of course the pressure. It is possible to detect a capacitance that changes over time with respect to a static steady state, such as a change in the case of an extremely low frequency of the sensor. Note that this change is not necessarily periodic.

At this time, the impedance converter 1 2 Since the input impedance of the (voltage follower 12) is extremely high, all of the current flowing through the capacitive sensor Cs flows through the feedback capacitor Cf.

[0051]
【The invention's effect】
As apparent from the above description, the detection circuit according to the present invention includes an operational amplifier feedback circuit, and the feedback circuit includes at least a first impedance element, an impedance converter having a high input impedance and a low output impedance, 1 impedance element and a signal line connected to the impedance converter, and one terminal of the detected capacitance can be connected to the signal line, and the two input terminals of the operational amplifier are virtual The other terminal of the capacitance is connectable to the ground or the power supply voltage line of the operational amplifier.
[0052]
This eliminates the need for a special power supply for applying a voltage to the capacitance, and the detection circuit can be configured with only the power supply or ground for the operational amplifier and the operational amplifier constituting the voltage follower, that is, at most two power supplies. Operate.
[0053]
Then, an input impedance element such as a resistor is connected to one input terminal of the operational amplifier, and the terminal on the opposite side of the input impedance element is connected to the potential Vi. As a result, the potential difference between both terminals of the input impedance element becomes substantially zero, and current consumption is suppressed.
[0054]
Specifically, the power supply voltages V1 and V2 are two power supply voltages to an operational amplifier such as an operational amplifier and a voltage follower, that is, + VDD and −VDD, and the potential Vi is a ground potential. Alternatively, the power supply voltages V1 and V2 may be a power supply voltage to an operational amplifier operating with a single power supply, that is, + VDD and ground, and the potential Vi may be VDD / 2. Although the present invention has been described with reference to the drawings, the present invention can also be realized with a circuit illustrated in FIG. That is, the detection circuits shown in FIGS. 9A, 9B, and 9C all have (1) a potential difference using a power supply voltage applied to both ends of the capacitance sensor, and (2) both inputs of the operational amplifier. What has been described in the present invention so far when the terminals are virtually short-circuited (having the same potential), and (3) the potential of the inverting input terminal of the operational amplifier is read as Vi, + VDD as V1, and −VDD as V2. Is all connected.
[0055]
In any case, the detection circuit of the present invention operates with at most two power sources. In a detection circuit using an input impedance element, since both terminals of the input impedance element are held at the same potential, the current flowing therethrough becomes almost zero, and current consumption is reduced.
[0056]
The detection circuit according to the present invention only needs to have a smaller number of connection terminals and PAD than the conventional one when receiving power supply from the outside, whereas when the power supply is generated internally, Thus, there is no need to provide a circuit for generating a third voltage such as a D / A converter, and the circuit scale is reduced.
[0057]
As described above, the capacitance detection circuit according to the present invention has low current consumption and a small circuit scale, and thus is suitable as a component to be incorporated into a small and light electronic device such as a mobile phone, and its practical use. Value is extremely high.
[0058]
In addition, although it demonstrated using a sensor for an electrostatic capacitance as embodiment, of course, it is not restricted to such a sensor, It is possible to apply this invention also to all what detects an electrostatic capacitance. is there.
