BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire, and more particularly to a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire that improves edge separation resistance while greatly improving the rust resistance of a belt layer.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, a steel cord having a twisted structure such as 3 + 9 + 15 is used for a belt layer of a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire used for a large vehicle such as a truck or a bus. Since these steel cords have a closed structure in which the strands are in close contact with each other, rubber penetration into the steel cord is extremely poor during tire vulcanization. For this reason, when the tread portion receives an injury such as a cut wound, and moisture enters the gap inside the steel cord from the scratch, the rust is generated. When the rust grows through the internal voids, the adhesion deteriorates, resulting in a problem that the tire durability is greatly deteriorated.
[0003]
In order to improve this, for example, a 3 + 8 structure with a gap between the strands is used, but rubber does not enter inside the 1 × 3 core, which is still insufficient for improving rust resistance. It was a thing.
[0004]
Therefore, to further improve the rust resistance, the core of the steel cord is bundled with 2 to 4 strands in parallel, and at least one of the strands has a corrugated structure, and a plurality of strands around the strand There is a proposal of a technique that greatly improves the rubber penetration into the steel cord by arranging a twisted sheath with an open structure having a gap between the strands (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-108387) ). However, even when a steel cord having a wire with corrugated cores is used, the corrugated height of the corrugated wires, the size of the corrugated pitch, and the balance between them are not optimized. And there is a problem that rubber penetration becomes insufficient. Further, when the 2 + 8 structure is used instead of the 3 + 9 + 15 or 3 + 8 structure, there is a problem that the edge separation resistance is deteriorated because the rigidity of the belt is lowered.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire capable of achieving both rust resistance and edge separation resistance of a belt layer serving as a tension layer.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention that achieves the above object is a core in which a steel cord of at least a belt layer serving as a tensile strength layer among a plurality of belt layers provided on the outer periphery of a carcass layer of a tread portion is made of two steel strands without twisting. And 6 to 8 steel strands arranged on the outer periphery of the core, and a sheath having a twisted structure with a gap between the strands. while satisfactory for two-dimensional corrugation structure, flat ratio represented the steel cord with major axis / minor axis is in a flat structure with a long axis in the belt width direction at 1.05-1.25, 2 of said core The steel wires are arranged side by side in the belt width direction and corrugated in the vertical direction .
1.2 ≦ H / d ≦ 1.9
8 ≦ L / d
H / d ≧ 0.048 L / d + 0.536
However, H: Corrugated height of steel wire

L: Steel wire corrugation pitch [0007]
1.2 ≦ H / d ≦ 1.9
8 ≦ L / d
H / d ≧ 0.048 L / d + 0.536
However, H: Corrugated height of steel strand d: Diameter of steel strand L: Corrugated pitch of steel strand
In this way, the steel cord of the belt layer that works as a tensile strength layer is composed of a core in which two steel wires are untwisted and a sheath in which a 6-8 steel wires on the outer periphery have a twisted structure with a gap. In order to make the two core strands into the two-dimensional corrugated structure specified as described above, the steel cord core as a belt layer is not impaired, and the steel cord core reaches the inside during tire vulcanization. It becomes possible to penetrate the rubber sufficiently. As a result, rust resistance can be greatly improved.
[0009]
The steel cord has a flatness ratio of 1.05 or more, the long axis is arranged in the belt width direction, and the rubber thickness of the belt layer is reduced by the smaller cord diameter in the belt thickness direction of the steel cord. If it is reduced, the in-plane rigidity of the belt layer is effectively increased by a synergistic effect with the improvement of the rigidity of the steel cord in the belt width direction, and the edge separation resistance can be improved. In addition, by defining the flat ratio of the steel cord as described above, there is no problem that rubber penetration is hindered due to flattening.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows an example of a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire of the present invention, where 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a sidewall portion, and 3 is a bead portion. A

On the other hand, the 6 to 8 steel strands f2 constituting the sheath fB have an open structure in which a gap is formed between the strands f2.
[0014]
The steel cord f is formed in a flat structure having a major axis in the belt width direction, and a flat ratio represented by a major axis / minor axis is in a range of 1.05 to 1.25.
As described above, in the present invention, the steel cords f of the belt layers 7b and 7c serving as the tensile strength layers are formed by using the core fA composed of the two untwisted corrugated steel strands f1 and the 6 to 8 steel strands f2. It is composed of a sheath fB having a twisted structure with an intervening gap, and by specifying the corrugation structure of the steel strand f1 of the core fA as described above, the rubber is secured while ensuring the strength of the steel cord f. The steel cord f can be sufficiently penetrated into the core fA. Therefore, rust resistance can be greatly improved.
[0015]
In addition, the diameter of the steel cord f in the belt thickness direction can be reduced by setting the flatness ratio of the steel cord f to 1.05 or more and making the long axis in the belt width direction. It is possible to reduce the thickness T of the rubber layer while securing the necessary cord / cord thickness T1. As a result, the in-plane bending rigidity of the belt layer can be increased by a synergistic effect with the improvement of the rigidity of the steel cord in the belt width direction, so that the edge separation resistance of the belt layer can be improved. When the rubber thickness T1 is too thin, the edge separation resistance is deteriorated. Further, by setting the upper limit value of the flatness ratio of the steel cord f to 1.25, rubber penetration is not hindered due to flattening.
[0016]
If the number of strands of the core fA is one, it is difficult to ensure the strength as the belt layer. Conversely, if the number of strands is 3 or more, the rubber cannot be sufficiently penetrated into the core fA. If the number of strands of the sheath f is less than 6, it is difficult to ensure the required strength. Conversely, if it exceeds 8, the gap between the strands cannot be secured sufficiently.
[0017]
Even if H / d is smaller than 1.2, or even if the region is lower than 0.048 L / d + 0.536, the gap between the strands f1 of the core fA becomes too small. Penetration worsens. On the contrary, if it is larger than 1.9, the wire f1 is excessively brazed, resulting in a decrease in the wire strength. Even when L / d is less than 8, similarly, the strand strength is greatly reduced due to excessive brazing of the strand f1.
[0018]
If the flatness ratio of the steel cord f is smaller than 1.05, the effect of improving the rigidity of the steel cord in the belt width direction is insufficient, and the in-plane bending stiffness cannot be effectively increased, and the edge separation resistance of the belt layer is improved. It becomes difficult to improve. On the other hand, if it is larger than 1.25, the flattening is excessive, so that a sufficient gap cannot be secured between the strands, and the rubber permeability deteriorates.
[0019]
FIG. 4 is a graph showing the relationship between L / d and H / d described above. Each plotted square mark is obtained by actual measurement. In FIG. 4, the equation of the straight line connecting the points (rubber permeability 75) is 0.048 L / d + 0.536, and more Is a preferable range with rubber permeability of 75 or more. In FIG. 4, the hatched portion is a range that satisfies the above-described formula at the same time. In addition, the numerical value attached | subjected next to each mark is the rubber permeability displayed by the index value which sets the value when rubber | gum has penetrate | infiltrated completely to the inside of a core as 100.
[0020]
FIG. 5 is a graph showing the relationship between the flatness ratio and the rubber permeability with an index value where the rubber penetration is 100 when the flatness ratio is 1. It can be seen that when the aspect ratio exceeds 1.25, the rubber penetration abruptly decreases, and the aspect ratio should be 1.25 or less.
[0021]
In the present invention, the above-described steel cord f is formed into a waveform simultaneously by arranging the left and right steel strands drawn from the left and right unwinding reels and passing between a pair of upper and lower wheels having teeth arranged at a predetermined pitch. Then, the steel wire of the sheath is spirally wound around the outer periphery and twisted, and then it can be easily obtained by crushing it flatly.
[0022]
As described above, the two steel strands f1 of the core fA are arranged on the left and right so that the two wires overlap with each other in the same phase waveform with the same corrugation pitch L and corrugation height H. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the corrugation pitch L and the corrugation height H may be different as long as the above-described range is satisfied. May be in a relationship.

In the above embodiment, the second and third belt layers 7b and 7c are configured by the steel cord f of FIG. 2 described above, but the first and fourth belt layers 7a and 7d are the same steel as the second and third belt layers 7b and 7c. You may make it comprise using the code | cord | chord f, and in this invention, what is necessary is just to comprise the belt layer which acts as a tension | tensile_strength layer with the said steel cord f.
[0024]
In the above-described embodiment, the heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire including the four belt layers having two tension layers has been described. However, the present invention provides a plurality of belt layers having at least two tension layers. In particular, it can be suitably used for a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire using at least three

[0026]
Each test tire has a steel cord structure of 2 + 8 × 0.35, H = 0.55 mm, L = 5.5 mm, and H / d = 1.57 and L / d = 15.7.
Each of these test tires was mounted on a rim having a rim size of 24 × 8.50 V, and an evaluation test of rubber permeability and belt edge separation resistance was performed under the following measurement conditions. The results shown in Table 1 were obtained.
[0027]
Rubber permeability Each test tire is vulcanized and then disassembled, and the state of the rubber that has penetrated into the core of the steel cord is observed. The result is evaluated as a percentage with the rubber completely penetrated into the core as 100%. did. The smaller the value, the lower the rubber permeability.
Belt edge separation resistance (edge separation resistance)
[0028]
Each test tire was mounted on a vehicle with an air pressure of 760 kPa, and after traveling 150,000 km on a general paved road, each test tire was disassembled, and the amount of peeling at the edge of the No. 3 belt layer was measured over the entire circumference. The maximum peel amount (mm) was determined. The smaller this value, the better the belt edge separation resistance.

[Table 1]
[0030]
As is apparent from Table 1, the tire of the present invention has high rubber permeability and extremely small maximum peel amount, and it can be seen that both rust resistance and edge separation resistance of the belt layer can be achieved. Further, it can be seen from the

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, the steel cord of the belt layer serving as a tension layer is composed of a core in which two steel strands are untwisted and 6 to 8 steel strands arranged on the outer periphery of the core. Consists of a twisted sheath with a gap between the wires, and the two steel strands of the core have a corrugated structure specified as described above, while the steel cord has a long axis with a flatness ratio in the above range Since the belt has a flat structure in the belt width direction, the rubber can be sufficiently penetrated into the steel cord, and the belt layer can be thinned to improve in-plane bending rigidity. Both edge separation properties can be achieved.
