Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electric power steering apparatus including a motor device arranged obliquely with a rack shaft.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, in a vehicle, a power steering device has been developed to lightly operate a steering wheel, and various improvements have been made to achieve its function. One of them is provided as an electric power steering device driven by a motor. The electric power steering device has been further improved as a low-priced and compact device due to downsizing and manufacturing cost reduction. In recent years, when a power steering apparatus is installed in a vehicle as a standard equipment, comfort is required, and for example, measures for preventing abnormal noise generated from an electric power steering apparatus have been studied. In particular, an electric power steering apparatus assisted by a motor is configured such that a motor shaft and a rack shaft are connected by a gear and the drive of the motor is transmitted to the rack shaft.
[0003]
Conventionally, as an example of an electric power steering device, for example, JP-A-8-207796 is known. As shown in this publication, the electric power steering apparatus is arranged such that the motor is obliquely crossed with respect to a rack shaft connected to the steering wheel by a rack and pinion mechanism. By rotating and transmitting the rotation output from the motor to a ball nut arranged so as to surround the rack shaft, the ball nut is rotated around the shaft center, and the rack nut is rotated in the axial direction by rotating the ball nut. Configured to move to.
[0004]
A driving bevel gear is mounted on the shaft of the motor, and a driven bevel gear is connected to the ball nut, and the rotational output of the motor is transmitted to the ball nut by meshing with each other.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in general, the meshing state of the gear is engaged by forming a backlash in order to rotate the gears. Therefore, when the geared gear rotates, if the backlash is large, the rattling sound is generated. Is generated. In order to prevent this rattling noise, the backlash is reduced as much as possible during assembly, but the gear mechanism itself needs to have an appropriate backlash in consideration of thermal deformation and tooth surface errors. In the assembly process, it is very difficult to eliminate the rattling noise.
[0006]
The present invention solves the above-described problems, and an object thereof is to provide an electric power steering apparatus configured to prevent rattling noise.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The electric power steering apparatus according to the present invention is configured as follows in order to solve the above problems. That is,
The steering wheel, is connected via a steering gear mechanism having engageable with the pinion to the rack shaft, thereby moving the rack shaft in the axial direction by rotating the steering wheel, bevel gear to said rack shaft Alternatively , an electric power steering device having a power assist unit including a motor device connected via a gear mechanism composed of a spur gear ,
The gear mechanism of the power assist unit are mutually meshed capable constructed and a second gear mounted to the first gear mounted on the motor shaft side to the rack shaft side of the motor unit, The first gear is connected to the motor shaft in the motor device by a twisting means if twisted so as to be relatively rotatable by a small angle,
A minute gap is formed between the motor shaft and the first gear, and an elastic member as a play joint is interposed in the minute gap.
[0008]
Preferably, the twisting means is a torsion bar.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
According to the electric power steering device of the present invention, when the motor is operated by rotating the steering wheel to rotate the drive shaft, the rotation output of the motor is transmitted from the first gear to the second gear, Rotate the second gear in one direction. At this time, the first gear and the second gear are formed with a predetermined backlash, and when the rotational output of the motor is transmitted to the first gear, the rotational output of the motor is initially transmitted by the motor shaft. While rotating relative to the first gear, the first gear is rotated by backlash while being absorbed by the twisting and twisting means, and then the motor shaft and the first gear are connected to each other. The gear is rotated to transmit the drive to the second gear. Therefore, at the time of meshing between the first gear and the second gear, the meshing force at the moment of contact between the tooth surface and the tooth surface is weakened due to the torsional resistance of the spring means when twisted, and the impact can be reduced. Thereby, the rattling sound can be reduced and the soundproofing effect can be achieved.
[0011]
According to the present invention, since the torsion bar is used according to the present invention, the twisting and twisting means uses a torsion bar that is formed in a round bar shape. By connecting to the motor shaft and the first gear, the twisting means can be configured by twisting with an easy configuration.
[0012]
Further, according to the present invention, the idler joint means for idlely connecting the motor shaft and the first gear is provided, so that the motor shaft and the first gear can be reliably connected after relatively rotating by a minute angle. The operation of transmitting rotation can be achieved with a simple configuration.
[0013]
