Description
【0001】
α=β√x (1)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a coagulation sedimentation apparatus that separates suspended substances in raw water into sludge and treated water by coagulation sedimentation, and a water treatment method using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An apparatus for separating and removing substances suspended in raw water (hereinafter sometimes referred to as SS [Suspended Solid]) by precipitation is known. As a conventional coagulating sedimentation apparatus for removing SS in raw water, an apparatus that simply adds a coagulant to raw water to precipitate the aggregate, pulls the aggregate as sludge, and derives treated water from the top is well known.
[0003]
In such a general coagulation precipitation apparatus, it takes a long time to precipitate the coagulum, and a very large sedimentation tank is required. Therefore, the coagulation precipitation can be performed more efficiently. A device has been proposed.
[0004]
For example, in French Patent No. 1411792, in a coagulation tank, a granular material (typically sand) having a particle size of about 10 to 200 μm is added to the raw water together with a flocculant, and the SS in the raw water has a large specific gravity. There is disclosed a coagulation-precipitation apparatus for agglomerating as a relatively large floc containing water and precipitating the floc in the water to be treated introduced from the coagulation tank in the precipitation tank to separate it from the treated water. The sediment floc extracted from the sedimentation tank is separated into sludge and particulates by a separator such as a cyclone, and the separated particulates are returned to the agglomeration tank for circulation.
[0005]
However, in reality, since the addition amount of the flocculant is small, only a small amount of the granular material is added correspondingly, and it is possible to grow to a floc that can realize precipitation with high speed and separation efficiency. It was difficult. Accordingly, in actual operation, the linear velocity of the water treatment in the precipitation tank can only be achieved at about 6 to 8 m / h, and the actual situation is that it is difficult to achieve a higher linear velocity.
[0006]
In response to such a situation, Japanese Patent No. 2634230 discloses a coagulation-precipitation apparatus that enables a treatment at a high linear velocity by providing an intermediate tank equipped with a stirrer between the coagulation tank and the precipitation tank. Is disclosed.
[0007]
This coagulating sedimentation apparatus is configured as shown in FIG. 6, for example, and sand 104 as a granular material is added to the raw water 101 together with, for example, the inorganic coagulant 102 and the polymer coagulant 103. The SS in the raw water is agglomerated while being stirred at, and the water to be treated is introduced into the intermediate tank 107 and further stirred by the
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the apparatus proposed in the above-mentioned Japanese Patent No. 2634230, it is necessary to provide the intermediate tank 107 with stirring between the agglomeration tank 105 and the sedimentation tank 109, and accordingly, the equipment cost, the electric energy, and the installation area. Will increase.
[0009]
Moreover, in the said patent, although it is proposed that the injection rate of the sand with respect to the amount of raw | natural water shall be a certain narrow range (1-4 g / l), the fluctuation | variation of raw | natural water amount, the fluctuation | variation of raw | natural water quality, and the aggregation accompanying these fluctuation | variations By changing the amount of the agent added, the rate of sand injection relative to the amount of raw water changes, which is very difficult to manage in actual operation.
[0010]
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the floc precipitated at the bottom of the sedimentation tank 109 is extracted by a sludge extraction pump 111 and separated into sludge 113 and sand 104 by a
[0011]
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to enable a high-speed treatment in which the linear velocity of the treatment in the precipitation tank is 30 to 100 m / h without providing the intermediate tank as described above, and substantially the injection rate of the particulate matter relative to the amount of raw water. It is an object of the present invention to provide a coagulating sedimentation apparatus that can stably perform a target high-speed process over a long period of time without management, and that is inexpensive and requires only a small installation area.

[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the coagulation sedimentation apparatus of the present invention comprises a coagulation tank that aggregates suspended substances in raw water as flocs by adding a flocculant and particulates, and precipitates flocs in water introduced from the coagulation tank. In a coagulation sedimentation apparatus having a sedimentation tank that separates into treated water and floc, a sampling apparatus for measuring the sludge concentration is attached to the coagulation tank, and the sludge concentration measured by the sampling apparatus is stored in the coagulation tank. in it considered the concentration of particulate matter, consisting of those concentrations of particulates of the flocculation tank is characterized in that it is maintained above 5 g / l. That is, in the present invention, as described later, paying attention to the fact that the sludge concentration in the flocculation tank measured by the sampling apparatus can substantially represent the concentration of particulate matter in the flocculation tank, it is measured by a sampling apparatus that is easy to monitor. Based on the sludge concentration, the concentration is maintained within the target concentration range of the granular material in the coagulation tank.
[0013]
The concentration of the particulate matter in the coagulation tank is preferably in the range of 5 g / l to 200 g / l, more preferably in the range of 10 g / l to 150 g / l, still more preferably in the range of 10 g / l to 120 g / l. Particularly preferred is a range of 15 g / l to 80 g / l.
[0014]
The particle size of the granular material to be used is not particularly limited, but it is considered that there is a correlation between the number of granular materials and the size of flocs to be aggregated or the growth of flocs. Controlling the ratio of the diameter and the concentration of the particulate matter in the coagulation tank within a specific range is effective for efficiently growing the floc containing the particulate matter to the optimum size and specific gravity for precipitation. From this aspect, it is preferable that the ratio C / d of the concentration C (g / l) of the granular material in the aggregation tank to the average particle size d (μm) of the granular material is in the range of 0.1 to 2.
[0015]
As the granular material, sand can be typically used, and those having a uniform particle diameter and satisfying the above-mentioned range in average particle diameter are particularly preferable. As the flocculant, an inorganic flocculant and a polymer flocculant can be usually used. The inorganic flocculant can efficiently agglomerate suspended substances in the raw water, and the polymer flocculant further grows the fine flocculent flocs generated by the inorganic flocculant into larger flocs by entanglement with the polymer. In the grown floc, granular materials made of sand or the like having a large specific gravity are mixed, and flocs having a large specific gravity (density) and easy to precipitate are formed as a whole.
[0016]
The coagulation tank is provided with a sampling device for measuring the sludge concentration . The measurement of the sludge concentration is not necessarily performed continuously, but may be performed regularly or irregularly at relatively long intervals. During operation of the equipment, most of the particulates added initially are in the agglomeration tank, and the amount of particulate matter in the sedimentation tank and circulation line from the precipitation tank is negligible. Measurement of sludge concentration in the coagulation tank is optimal. That is, the addition amount of the flocculant is much smaller than the addition amount of the particulate matter, and the ratio of the particulate matter and the sludge component having a high concentration and a high specific gravity of 5 g / l or more in the flocculation tank is a weight ratio. For example, since it is about 30: 1-300: 1, the density | concentration of the whole sludge (namely, the sludge component grown into the floc containing a granular material) will represent the density | concentration of a granular material substantially. Therefore, by measuring the sludge concentration in the coagulation tank, the concentration of the particulate matter in the coagulation tank can be managed within the predetermined range described above.
[0017]
Moreover, it is preferable that the lower part of the aggregation tank is formed in a cone shape that narrows downward. If it is formed in a tank of such a shape, when growing as a floc by stirring, the bottom of the agglomeration tank is well agitated, and the grown flock is suppressed from accumulating at the bottom of the agglomeration tank. It is transferred to.
[0018]
Similarly to the apparatus shown in FIG. 6, a line for extracting the precipitated flocs may be connected to the settling tank, and the extracted flocs are circulated to the sludge and coagulation tank. Means (for example, a cyclone) for separating into granular materials may be provided.
[0019]
The water treatment method according to the present invention comprises a method of treating raw water using the above coagulating sedimentation apparatus.
[0020]
Even during treatment for a long period of time, the sludge concentration in the coagulation tank may be measured, and the concentration of particulate matter in the coagulation tank may be managed based on the measured sludge concentration . As described above, since the sludge concentration in the flocculation tank represents the concentration of the granular material in the flocculation tank, this control makes it possible to maintain the concentration of the granular material within the target concentration range.
[0021]
In the coagulation sedimentation apparatus and the water treatment method using the same according to the present invention as described above, the concentration of particulate matter in the coagulation tank is 5 g / l or more based on the measurement of the sludge concentration in the coagulation tank. It is operated while maintaining a high concentration. Surprisingly, by setting such a granular substance concentration, relatively large flocs containing granular substances are rapidly grown and formed without an intermediate tank, and in the sedimentation tank, high as 30 to 100 m / h. Processing at the linear velocity of the flow velocity becomes possible. Since the ratio of the granular material which occupies in the whole formed floc is also high, the specific gravity (density) of the floc is increased, and higher speed sedimentation in the sedimentation tank becomes possible. Since there is no need to provide an intermediate tank, the equipment cost is low and the installation area is small.
[0022]
Further, in the present invention, basically, it is not necessary to manage the injection amount of the particulate matter relative to the raw water amount, and the operation may be continued so that the concentration of the particulate matter in the coagulation tank is within a predetermined range. Complicated maintenance and management are not required for fluctuations and water quality fluctuations. Accordingly, it is possible to perform a water treatment that is stable for a long time and has a good quality of treated water.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

In the agglomeration tank 2, sand 9 as a granular material is added. The amount added is initially added so that the concentration of sand 9 in the agglomeration tank 2 is 5 g / l or more, and the deficiency is replenished regularly or irregularly so that the predetermined concentration can be maintained as described later. Is done. The amount added is preferably in the range of 5 g / l to 200 g / l, more preferably in the range of 10 g / l to 150 g / l, still more preferably in the range of 10 g / l to 120 g / l, particularly preferably 15 g / l to 80 g. / L range.
[0026]
The agglomeration tank 2 is provided with a stirrer 11 driven by a

The growth of the floc proceeds in the upper part of the stirrer 11 rather than in the vicinity of the stirring blade. The lower part 2a of the coagulation tank 2 is formed in a cone shape that narrows downward, and the flow rate of the rotational flow of the water to be treated that rotates with the rotation of the stirring blade is increased in the lower part 2a. Precipitation and accumulation of flocs on the lower part 2a of the steel plate are appropriately prevented.

For example, sand 9 is initially charged into the agglomeration tank 2 so as to have a concentration of 40 g / l, and when the concentration decreases to 10 g / l, 30 g / l of sand is replenished. Since it takes a long time to reduce the concentration of the sand 9 (taking away the sand to the outside of the system), the operation can be stably performed over a long period of time by the operation management method as described above.
[0034]
In the present invention, the sand 9 in the agglomeration tank 2 is operated at a concentration of 5 g / l or higher, which is a much higher concentration than before, so a relatively large floc containing sand 9 is formed. In the
[0035]
If the concentration of sand 9 in the agglomeration tank 2 is less than 5 g / l, the generated flocs are light and the flocs may flow out, making high-speed processing in the
[0036]
By setting the concentration of the sand 9 in the agglomeration tank 2 within the above range, stable water treatment can be performed over a long period of time with a high speed treatment of a linear velocity of 30 to 100 m / h without providing an intermediate tank. .
[0037]
Further, in the present invention, the operation is performed with the concentration of the sand 9 being increased to a concentration that is not conventional, but when the growth due to floc aggregation is viewed microscopically, the absolute number of sand relative to the suspended matter in the raw water is It may be effective. For this, the ratio C / d of the concentration C (g / l) of the sand 9 in the agglomeration tank 2 to the average particle diameter d (μm) of the sand 9 may be in the range of 0.1-2. By setting C / d within this range, the growth of relatively large flocs can be ensured better, thereby ensuring the high speed of the precipitation process.
[0038]
In order to confirm the effect of setting the sand concentration in the agglomeration tank to 5 g / l or more, or 5 g / l to 200 g / l as defined in the present invention, the following experiment was conducted.
[0039]
[Experiment]
PAC as an inorganic flocculant is injected into artificial turbid water with kaolin added to the raw water as a suspended substance, and line mixing is performed. A polymer as a polymer flocculant is injected into the flocculant tank, and the experiment is performed under the following conditions. Water turbidity was measured. (The experiment was conducted with the apparatus shown in FIG. 1).
[0040]
[0041]
When the amount of sand added was increased from 2.5 g / l, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the turbidity of the treated water suddenly improved at about 5 g / l or more, but further sand was added. When it exceeded a certain amount, it worsened, and there was an appropriate range for the amount of sand added. This appropriate range expanded with increasing sand addition with increasing polymer addition.
[0042]
When the target value of the treated water turbidity is 3 degrees or less, when the polymer (polymer flocculant) injection amount is the upper limit of 2.0 mg / l from a normal economic viewpoint, the amount of sand added is 200 g / l. 1 or less (FIG. 3, when the water temperature is 12 ° C.) or 150 g / l or less (FIG. 2, when the water temperature is 6 ° C.) is preferable.
[0043]
Further, since the polymer injection amount is usually about 0.3 mg / l to 1.0 mg / l, the more preferable range of sand addition amount is the range of 10 g / l to 150 g / l, more preferably 10 g / l. In the range of ˜120 g / l, in order to obtain a higher treated water quality (for example, to make the
[0044]
Thus, by setting it as the sand density | concentration in the coagulation tank prescribed | regulated by this invention, the treated water with favorable water quality can be obtained stably at high speed, without providing an intermediate tank.
[0045]
It has been found that the optimum concentration of the particulate matter in the coagulation tank varies particularly depending on the injection amount of the polymer coagulant, the water temperature, etc., as shown in FIGS.
[0046]
This variation in the upper limit value can be dealt with by the following way of thinking. The target upper limit value α (g / l) of the concentration of sand (granular material) in the coagulation tank, that is, the concentration range of sand (granular material) in the coagulation tank is 5 to α (g / l).
α = β√x (1)
Can be represented by here,
β: coefficient that varies depending on the type of polymer flocculant, water temperature, etc. x: amount of polymer flocculant injected into raw water (mg / l)
It is.
[0047]
That is, in the above experimental results, when the allowable value of the treated water turbidity is 3 degrees, the data when the water temperature is 6 ° C. and 12 ° C. are as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the square root (√x) of the addition amount of the polymer flocculant (polymer) is taken on the horizontal axis, and the upper limit value α of the sand addition amount is taken on the vertical axis. In the case of FIG. 4 (
[0048]
From the obtained β value and the polymer flocculant addition amount at that time, the optimum upper limit value of the sand addition amount according to the water temperature can be obtained.
[0049]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the coagulation sedimentation apparatus of the present invention and the water treatment method using the coagulation sedimentation apparatus , based on the measurement of the sludge concentration in the coagulation tank, the concentration of the granular material in the coagulation tank is in the optimum high concentration range. By doing so, it is possible to perform the treatment in the precipitation tank at a high speed treatment of a linear velocity of 30 to 100 m / h without providing an intermediate tank between the aggregation tank and the precipitation tank. In addition, by setting the concentration of the granular material in the coagulation tank to an optimum range, it is possible to achieve extremely good quality of the treated water. Since it is not necessary to provide an intermediate tank, the entire apparatus can be configured at low cost and the installation area is small.
[0050]
In addition, there is no need to substantially manage the amount of granular material injected relative to the amount of raw water, and there is no need to perform complicated maintenance and management for fluctuations in raw water and water quality. It becomes possible.
