【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えばニットTシャツ、アウトウェア、肌着等の袖口や脇合わせ、ブリーフやショーツ等の脇合わせなどの縫製に適用される縁かがり縫いミシンによる空環縫い込み方法及び装置に関し、詳しくは、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に残存する空環を吸引管で吸引保持し、この空環吸引管の縫製進行方向とは逆方向への揺動により針落ち部の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込んで縁かがり縫いミシンにより縫い込む通称、バックタック縫製を行なうことによって、縫い始め端部のほつれを防止する空環縫い込み方法及び装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
この種の空環縫い込み方法を実施する空環縫い込み装置として、従来では、図11に示すように、針落ち部1及びこの針落ち部1を基端として縫製進行方向Xへ向けて突出形成された縫い目形成用爪部2を有する針板3の上部に縫製生地を該針板3上面に押圧する押え金4が設けられているとともに、針板3の上方右側部には、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に針板3の爪部2に巻き付いた空環部分に連なる空環Aを吸い込み切断した後、その切断空環を吸い込み方向とは逆方向へ吹き返す空環切り装置(周知であるため、図示及び詳細な構成の説明は省略する)により吹き返された空環Aを吸引保持し、次の縫製開始に伴って縫製進行方向Xとは逆方向Yへ揺動して吸引保持した空環Aを針落ち部1の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込む空環吸引管5が設けられている。

また、押え金4の側端部には、空環押え爪6が左右位置調整自在に固定されている。この空環押え爪6は、図12及び図13に示すように、針板3の針落ち部1及び爪部2に対して縮小相似形状の針落ち部6a及び爪部6bを有するとともに、空環吸引管5により針落ち部1,6aの手前側に引張られる空環Aを押え金4の裏面側に滑り落ち移行させるような傾斜面を持つ空環ガイド部6c及びこの空環ガイド部6cにより裏面側に滑り落ち移行された空環Aを嵌合保持して該空環Aを縫製進行方向Xと平行な姿勢で後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込み案内する溝6dが形成されている。

上記のごとき構成からなる従来の空環縫い込み装置によれば、空環吸引管5の揺動動作により針落ち部1,6aの手前側に引張られる空環Aは空環押え爪6の空環ガイド部6cの傾斜面を滑り落ちて裏面の案内溝6dに嵌合保持され、この案内溝6dにより縫製進行方向Xと平行な姿勢にガイドされることになり、その結果、図14に示すように、縁かがり縫いミシンによる後続縫製生地Wの縫製開始に伴い、空環Aはその縫い始め端Weの縫い目S中で該縫い目Sを形成する針糸nyに対しほぼ平行に引き込まれて上ルーパ糸1yのみで押え付けられる状態に縫い込まれることになる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記のような従来の空環縫い込み装置による空環縫い込み方法では、後続縫製生地Wの縫い始め端Weの縫い目S中に引き込まれた空環Aが上ルーパ糸1yのみにより押え付けられているだけであるから、例えば縫製品、特に、滑りやすい性質の生地や糸を使用して縫製された縫製品を洗濯する場合等のように、縫製生地Wに激しい力が加わったとき、折角縫い込んだ空環Aが縫い目Sから抜け出して縫い始め端縁Weより飛び出し風合いを損ねたり、その飛び出しに起因してバックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能が低下しやすくなるという問題があった。

本発明は上記のような実情に鑑みてなされたもので、縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込んだ空環が洗濯時などに激しい力を受けても不測に抜け出ることがないように確実に縫い目中に縫い込み保持させることができる空環縫い込み方法及びそのような縫い込みを簡単な構成改良で実現できる空環縫い込み装置を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明に係る空環縫い込み方法は、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に吸い込まれて該先行縫製生地から切断された空環を吸引保持する空環吸引管の縫製進行方向とは逆方向への揺動動作により、切断後の空環を針落ち部の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込んで縁かがり縫いミシンにより縫い込む空環縫い込み方法であって、
上記空環吸引管により針落ち部の手前側に引き込まれる空環の少なくとも一部を針落ち部に対して後続縫製生地の側端縁とは反対側に変位移動させて、その変位移動した空環の少なくとも一部を後続縫製生地の縫い目を形成する針糸で縫い付けることを特徴とするものである。

上記のような特徴を有する本発明方法によれば、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に吸い込み切断され、かつ、空環吸引管の揺動動作によって針落ち部の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込まれた空環はその少なくとも一部が縫い目を形成する針糸で縫い付けられているので、縫製品の洗濯時等のように、縫製生地に激しい力が加わったとしても、縫い目中に縫い込まれた空環が縫い目から抜け出ることが確実に防止され、常に良好な風合いを維持することが可能であるとともに、バックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能を確保することが可能である。

また、上記空環縫い込み方法を実施するための本発明に係る空環縫い込み装置は、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に吸い込まれて該先行縫製生地から切断された空環を後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込んで縁かがり縫いミシンにより縫い込むように構成されている空環縫い込み装置であって、
縫製生地を針板に押圧する押え金と、この押え金の上部に設置されて先行縫製生地から切断された空環を吸引保持するとともに後続縫製生地の縫製開始に伴って縫製進行方向とは逆方向へ揺動動作して吸引した空環を針落ち部の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込む空環吸引管と、上記押え金の側端部に固定されて空環吸引管の揺動動作により針落ち部の手前側に引張られる空環を押え金の裏面側に移行させる空環ガイド部及びこの空環ガイド部により裏面側に移行された空環を嵌合保持して該空環の縫い目中への引き込みを案内する溝が形成された空環押え爪とを具備し、この空環押え爪裏面の引き込み用案内溝の両側で対向位置する一対の空環案内面部のうち縫製生地の側端縁からは遠い側の空環案内面部は、縫製生地の側端縁に最も近い針落ち部に対して縫製生地の側端縁とは反対側に変位されており、上記空環吸引管により針落ち部の手前側に引き込まれる空環の少なくとも一部を上記変位空環案内面部側に変位移動させる手段を設けていることを特徴とするものである。

上記のような特徴構成を有する本発明装置によれば、空環吸引管により針落ち部の手前側に引張られる空環が空環押え爪のガイド部を経て該押え爪の裏面側に滑り落ち移行して引き込み用案内溝に嵌合保持された状態で、この空環の少なくとも一部が、案内溝両側の一対の空環案内面部のうち縫製生地の側端縁からは遠い側に変位されている空環案内面部側に変位移動される。これによって、空環の少なくとも一部を縫い目を形成する針糸で縫い付けることが可能となり、上述したとおり縫製品の洗濯時等のように、縫製生地に激しい力が加わったとしても、縫い目中に縫い込まれた空環が縫い目から抜け出ることを確実に防止し、常に良好な風合いを維持し、かつ、バックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能を確保することが可能である。また、本発明装置では、空環押え爪裏面の引き込み用案内溝の一方の案内面部を変位させるという極く簡単な構成改良を施すだけで上記のような良好な風合いを維持し、かつ、本来のほつれ防止機能を確保できる空環抜止め状態での空環縫い込み作用を確実、容易に実現することが可能である。

上記構成の本発明に係る空環縫い込み装置において、空環の少なくとも一部を変位空環案内面部側に変位移動させる手段としては、請求項3に記載のように、空環吸引管の揺動動作により針落ち部の手前側に引張られる空環の引張り経路に対して交差する方向に進出後退駆動移動自在に設けられた空環押込案内装置であっても、請求項4に記載のように、空環を吸引保持して該空環を針落ち部の手前側に引張る空環吸引管で兼用すべく構成したものであってもよい。このうち、特に、空環吸引管で空環の変位移動手段を兼用させるように構成する場合は、針板の右側部に広いスペースを要する進出後退駆動移動自在な空環押込案内装置を設置する必要がなくなり、装置コストの低減化及び小型化を図ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面にもとづいて説明する。
図1は本発明に係る空環縫い込み方法を実施するために用いられる空環縫い込み装置を備えた縁かがり縫いミシンの概略斜視図、図2は空環縫い込み装置の主要部の拡大平面図である。なお、本発明に係る空環縫い込み装置において、図11〜図13に示した従来の空環縫い込み装置と共通する構成要素については同一の符号を付してそれらの説明を省略あるいは簡略化し、主として従来装置と相違する構成を中心に説明する。

図1において、11は縁かがり縫いミシンMのクロスプレートで、このクロスプレート11の所定位置には、針落ち部1及び縫い目形成用爪部2(図2参照)を有する針板3が固定されており、縫い目形成用爪部2の基端近くの手前部には生地端切断用メス20(図面上では可動上メス部のみを示し、固定下メス部は省略する)が設けられている。また、針板3の上部には、後述する空環押え爪6を固定した押え金4のほかに、ミシンベッド部12に支持された針棒13、針止め13aを介して上記針落ち部1に対し上下に駆動往復運動自在な針14及び針板3の上面への縫製生地の有無を検知して縫製生地有り(暗状態)のとき、ミシンの回転を許容する生地センサー(図示省略)が設けられているとともに、針板3に対して縫製進行方向Xの後方右側には空環切り装置(周知であるため、図示省略)が配置され、かつ、針板3の右側部には空環吸引管5が支点回転軸15の周りに駆動揺動自在に配置され、さらに、この空環吸引管5の手前には、ミシンベッド部12に取付台16を介して装着された空環押込案内装置17が配置されている。

上記空環吸引管5は、図3に明示するように、空環切り装置により切断された後、吹き返される空環Aを受け取って吸入保持する第1位置とその空環Aの吸入保持状態で上記針板3の縫い目形成用爪部2の基端近くの手前部の生地端切断用メス20の近傍位置に後退揺動して待機する第2位置と空環Aの縫い込み動作の開始に伴って第2位置よりさらに縫製進行方向Xとは逆方向Yへ後退揺動して空環Aを後続縫製生地Wの縫い始め端Weの縫い目中に引き込む第3位置とに亘って支点回転軸15の周りに駆動揺動自在に構成されている。

また、上記押え金4の側端部に左右位置調整自在に固定されている空環押え爪6は、図4及び図5に示すように、針板3の針落ち部1及び爪部2に対して縮小相似形状の針落ち部6a及び爪部6b、空環吸引管5により針落ち部1,6aの手前側に引張られる空環Aを押え金4の裏面側に滑り落ち移行させるような傾斜面を持つ空環ガイド部6c及びこの空環ガイド部6cにより裏面側に滑り落ち移行された空環Aを嵌合保持して該空環Aの後続縫製生地Wの縫い目S中への引き込みを案内する溝6dを有している。この空環押え爪6裏面の引き込み用案内溝6dの両側で対向位置する一対の空環案内面部6e,6fのうち縫製生地Wの側端縁からは遠い側の空環案内面部6eは、縫製生地Wの側端縁に最も近い針落ち部1,6aに対して縫製生地Wの側端縁とは反対の左側に変位されている。

さらに、上記空環押込案内装置17は、取付台16に固定保持されたエアシリンダ18とこのエアシリンダ18のピストンロッド18a先端に固定連結された空環押込案内具19とからなり、空環押込案内具19の先端には略V字形状の空環引掛部19aが形成されている。この空環押込案内装置17は、通常、その押込案内具19が図1及び図6の実線に示すように、針板3及び押え金4の斜め右上方位置に後退待機しており、上記空環吸引管5の第2位置から第3位置への揺動移動に連動して図1の矢印、図2の仮想線及び図7の実線に示すように、空環Aの引張り経路に対して交差する斜め左下方向Zに進出移動することにより、先端の空環引掛部19aが針落ち部1,6aの手前側に引き込まれた空環Aの一部を空環押え爪6における変位案内面部6e側に押し込んで変位移動させるように構成されている。

次に、上記のように構成された縁かがり縫いミシンの空環縫い込み装置による空環縫い込み方法について、図6,図7の動作状態変化図及び図8のタイミングチャートを参照して説明する。

先行縫製生地の縫い終り端が生地センサーを通過し該センサーが非検知(明状態)となった時点で空環切り装置が吸い込みを開始して残存する空環を吸い込むとともに、公知の糸緩め装置がONして糸を緩める一方、縁かがり縫いミシンMは予め設定された運針数に達するまで回転を続けその間に一定長さの空環が形成される。設定運針数に達すると、ミシンMの回転が停止し、上記空環切り装置が吸い込んで空環を切断するとともに、その切断した空環を吸い込み方向とは逆方向へ吹き出し、その直後に図3の第2位置に待機していた空環吸引管5が第1位置に移動するとともに、吸い込みを開始して空環切り装置より吹き出される空環Aを吸引保持した後、再び第2位置に揺動移動して待機すると同時に、押え金4は針板3の上面から離間するように上昇する。この状態で、ペダルをOFFすることにより先行縫製生地の縫製が完了する。

次に、上記空環吸引管5に吸入保持された空環Aが該吸引管5の第2位置への揺動移動により針板3の針落ち部1よりも手前に引き込まれた状態で、次の後続縫製生地Wがその縫い始め端縁Weを縫製進行方向Xで生地端縁切断用メス20とほぼ同一線上に位置するように針板3上にセットされ、上記生地センサーがそれを検知(暗状態)すると、押え金4が針板3の上面に当接するように下降するとともに、糸緩め装置がOFFとなって糸緩めを解除し、縫製開始が可能な態勢となる。

この状態で、ペダルをONすると、ミシンMが回転し始めて縫製生地Wが縫製進行方向Xに向けて、その縫い始め端縁eが針板3の針落ち部1に到達するまで送られる。この間に針板3の縫い目形成用爪部2に巻き付いている空環Aは、該爪部3に巻き付いたままである。

さらに、縫製生地Wが縫製進行方向Xに送られて、その縫い始め端縁eが針板3の縫い目形成用爪部2の先端付近の位置にまで達して縫い始め端縁eから生地端縁切断用上メス20までの寸法が所定長さとなる位置に達したとき、ミシンMの回転が一旦、所定時間に亘って停止されると同時に、上記空環吸引管5が第2位置から図3の第3位置に揺動移動して空環Aを図6に明示するように、針落ち部1,6aの手前側に引張ることになり、これによって、空環Aは空環押え爪6における空環ガイド部6cにより裏面側に滑り落ち移行されて裏面の引き込み用案内溝6dに嵌合保持される。

その直後に空環押込案内装置17が作動して空環押込具19が図7に明示するように、斜め左下方向に進出移動し、これに伴って押込案内具19先端の引掛部19aを介して空環Aの一部が空環押え爪6裏面の案内溝6dを形成する一方の変位案内面部6e側に押し込み変位移動されることになり、その後、空環吸引管5による空環Aの吸引保持が解除される。

そして、一旦停止後のミシンMが所定の回転に復帰することにより、後続縫製生地Wが縫製進行方向Xに送られて縫製を開始し、この縫製開始の初期の運針で生地端切断用メス20の切断部に押し込まれた空環Aが縫製生地Wの側端部と共にメス20により切断され、その切断された空環部分が縫製生地Wの縫い始め端の縫い目S中に引き込まれて縫い込まれることになるが、このとき、空環Aの一部が空環押え爪6裏面の案内溝6dを形成する一方の変位案内面部6e側に押し込み変位移動されているので、図9に示すように、縫製生地Wの縫い目S中に引き込まれた空環Aの一部A1が縫い目Sを形成する針糸nyで縫い付けられることになる。したがって、縫製品の洗濯時等のように、縫製生地Wに激しい力が加わったとしても、縫い目S中に縫い込まれた空環Aが縫い目Sから抜け出ることが確実に防止され、常に良好な風合いが維持されるとともに、バックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能が確保されることになる。

さらに、上記のような空環縫い込み後の地縫い時の運針数が所定値に達した時点で、上記空環押込案内装置17は、図1の実線に示す斜め右上方位置に復帰移動し、かつ、空環吸引管5は第2位置に復帰して次の空環縫い込みに備えられることになる。

なお、上記実施の形態では、空環Aの一部を押え爪6裏面の案内溝6dの一方の変位案内面部6e側に押し込み変位移動させる手段として、図1や図6,図7に示したような構成の空環押込案内装置17を使用した例で説明したが、これに代えて、図10に示すように、空環吸引管5の第2位置から第3位置への揺動時における先端移動軌跡が図2に示すものに比べて左寄りとなるように、支点回転軸15の位置をエキセンカム等を用いて偏位させて、この空環吸引管5で空環Aの一部を変位案内面部6e側に押し込み変位移動させる手段を兼用すべく構成してもよい。このように空環吸引管5で空環Aの変位移動手段を兼用すべく構成する場合は、針板3の右側部に広い設置スペースを要する空環押込案内装置17が不要となり、装置全体のコストの低減化及び小型化を図ることができる。

また、空環Aの一部を押え爪6裏面の案内溝6dの一方の変位案内面部6e側に押し込み変位移動させる手段としては、上記の各実施の形態以外に、針板3及び押え金4の斜め右上方位置に空環吹き付けノズルを設け、このノズルから吹き出したエアを空環Aに吹き付けるようにしたり、針板3及び押え金4の斜め左上方位置に空環吸引ノズルあるいは進出後退駆動移動自在な空環引掛け具を設置して、これら空環吸引ノズルによる空環吸引作用あるいは空環引掛け具による空環の引掛け引込み作用で空環Aの一部を変位案内面部6e側に変位移動させるように構成してもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上のように、本発明によれば、先行縫製生地の縫い終り時に空環吸引管の揺動動作によって針落ち部の手前側に引張って後続縫製生地の縫い始め端の縫い目中に引き込まれた空環の少なくとも一部が縫い目形成用の針糸で縫い付けられるように空環を縫い込んでいるので、縫製品の洗濯時等のように、縫製生地が激しい力を受けたとしても、縫い込んだ空環が縫い目から不測に抜け出ることを確実に防止することができ、したがって、空環が縫い始め端縁より飛び出して風合いを損ねたり、その飛び出しに起因してバックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能を低下したりすることなく、常に良好な風合いを維持するとともに、バックタック縫製本来のほつれ防止機能を長期間に亘り確保することができるという効果を奏する。
