Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle footrest structure in which a footrest on which a passenger's legs are placed is provided at a lower part of a toe board that partitions an engine room and a passenger compartment in a vehicle such as an automobile.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an automobile, a footrest for placing a leg portion on the non-operating side of an occupant (driver) is provided so as to incline forward in the lower part of the toe board that rises obliquely forward from the floor of the passenger compartment. In such an automobile, the toe board may be deformed rearward, that is, to the passenger compartment side by an impact at the time of a collision, and the footrest may stand up from an inclined posture. When the footrest stands up, the angle of the occupant's leg being bent at the ankle may be increased.
[0003]
FIG. 3 shows a conventional example of the footrest structure. In the figure, the broken line indicates a normal time, and the solid line indicates a collision. In the figure, 3 is a toe board and 4 is a floor of a passenger compartment.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the prior art shown in FIG. 3, when the automobile collides, as shown by the solid line in the figure, the
[0005]
As means for mitigating the impact on the occupant through the footrest due to such a collision, technologies such as JP-A-10-297342, JP-A-10-297344, JP-A-2000-95012, and utility model No. 2577181 are provided. Has been.
However, even in these techniques, there is provided a means that can completely absorb the energy of the collision at the time of the collision at the footrest side by means of simple and low-cost means and reliably prevent the propagation of the impact to the occupant's
[0006]
In view of the problems of the prior art, the present invention uses a simple and low-cost means to completely absorb the energy of the collision at the time of the collision of the vehicle to alleviate the impact on the occupant's leg, and the ankle caused by the impact An object of the present invention is to provide a footrest structure for a vehicle that can prevent an increase in bending angle acting on the vehicle.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve such a problem, the present invention provides a footrest structure for a vehicle in which a footrest for placing a passenger's legs is provided on a lower part of a toe board that partitions the engine room and the passenger compartment. In
A bracket made of a single plate member having one end coupled to the toe board and the other end coupled to the floor of the passenger compartment is provided, and a notch portion at which the bracket can be bent toward the passenger compartment is provided in the middle of the bracket A footrest structure for a vehicle is proposed in which the footrest is fastened with a bolt to the upper surface of the toe board side portion from the notch of the bracket.
[0008]
According to this invention, the bracket having one end coupled to the toe board and the other end coupled to the floor of the passenger compartment is provided, and the bracket is provided with a notch portion that can be bent toward the passenger compartment. Since the footrest is fixed to the upper surface of the toe board side portion with respect to the notch portion , the bracket is bent at the notch portion when the toe board is deformed to the vehicle compartment side at the time of a vehicle collision.
For this reason, the upper portion of the bracket on the cutout toe board side is less likely to stand up from a normal inclined posture, and therefore, the footrest of the footrest is also less likely to stand up. As a result, the footrest angle, which is the angle formed between the line perpendicular to the tread surface and the center of the occupant's leg, is smaller than in the prior art, and the bending of the occupant's ankle is reduced, and the bracket is bent at the notch. Thus, the energy of the collision is completely absorbed, and the impact due to the collision and the increase of the bending angle acting on the ankle portion are prevented.
[0009]
That is, according to this invention, that bracket an intermediate portion of the plate-shaped bracket provided with notch capable bent in the vehicle compartment side, Ya collision impact of a vehicle I than in a very simple and low-cost structure An increase in the bending angle acting on the ankle portion can be prevented, and safety at the time of collision can be improved.
[0010]
Further, according to this invention, the footrest angle is reduced by adjusting the deformation mode of the bracket at the time of a vehicle collision by changing the shape of the bracket, such as the position of the notch and the thickness of the bracket. As a result, the bending of the ankle portion of the occupant can be further reduced.
[0011]

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a bracket having one end coupled to the toe board and the other end coupled to the passenger compartment floor is provided, and the bracket is provided with a notch that can be bent toward the passenger compartment. Since the footrest is fixed to the upper surface of the toe board side portion than the notch portion of the bracket, it is very easy to provide a notch portion at which the bracket can be bent to the vehicle compartment side in the middle portion of the plate-like bracket. In addition, with a low-cost structure, it is possible to prevent an impact due to a vehicle collision and an increase in a bending angle acting on the ankle portion, and to improve safety at the time of the collision.
[0021]
