Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing fullerene in which a fullerene raw material supply amount is increased to increase a fullerene yield and a fullerene content in a produced soot to increase a fullerene production amount.
Fullerene is a generic term for a third carbon allotrope next to diamond and graphite, refers to a group of spherical shell-like carbon molecules, including C 60 and C 70, other C 60 and C 70, for example, C 74 , C 76 , C 78 , C 80 , C 82 , C 84 , C 86 , C 88 , C 90 , C 92 , C 94 , and C 96 are known. There is no upper limit to the number of carbon atoms.
The existence of fullerene was finally confirmed in the relatively recent 1990, a relatively new carbon material, but found to exhibit specific physical properties due to its special molecular structure. For example, innovative application development is rapidly being developed in a wide range of fields such as application to superhard materials, application to pharmaceuticals, application to superconducting materials, or application to semiconductor manufacturing. In particular, among the fullerenes, C 60 and C 70 are relatively easy to synthesize, and therefore, future demand is expected to increase explosively.
Various methods for synthesizing fullerenes have been proposed so far, but none of the methods for producing fullerenes in large quantities at low cost has been established so far. Among these methods, the combustion method is known as one of the cheapest and most efficient production methods.
In the combustion method, fullerene is produced by burning a carbon-containing compound in a flame formed in a fullerene reactor, and the same carbon-containing compound can be used as the fuel for combustion and the raw material of fullerene. .
Here, in order to produce fullerene, the flame conditions when burning the carbon-containing compound are important. The flame conditions are as follows: the elemental composition ratio (C / O ratio) of carbon in the carbon-containing compound to oxygen when the carbon-containing compound burns, the pressure in the fullerene reactor, and the diluent used in burning the carbon-containing compound Controlling one or more parameters selected from any of concentration, temperature, residence time of the carbon-containing compound in the flame, gas velocity in the burner of the gas mixture of carbon-containing compound gas and oxygen gas Can be adjusted.
For example, in
The specification of Patent Document 2 discloses a porous refractory material burner that can stabilize the fuel / oxidant (for example, air) ratio and gas velocity over a wide range and improve flame stability. An average of 80 mL of toluene is added to this burner per minute to produce 200 g of a soot (solid carbon product) per hour, and 18 masses of fullerene contained in this soot is contained in toluene. % (Fullerene: 36 g) can be extracted, and it is described that 30% by mass (fullerene: 60 g) can be collected as fullerene at the maximum.
However, in the method disclosed in
In addition, when the burner described in Patent Document 2 is used, the supply of 80 mL of toluene to the burner disclosed in the document per minute is calculated from the burner having a diameter of 10.5 inches. The average gas discharge speed is about 50 cm / second, which is within the range of the average discharge speed disclosed in
For this reason, the yield of fullerenes is increased, and more fuel is injected into the same apparatus (burner) to increase the production amount of fullerenes per unit time. There is a need for a method of efficiently cooling a gas-like material and a gas containing the gas-like material at the same time and introducing the gas-like material into a recovery device for the material.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and it is possible to increase the raw material supply amount of fullerene, increase the production amount of fullerene per unit time as compared with the prior art, and further perform fullerene production stably for a long time. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing a fullerene.
The method for producing fullerene according to
The average discharge speed from the discharge part when the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas are discharged into the fullerene reactor is set to exceed 0.75 m / second and not more than 10 m / second. Thereby, the fullerene production amount per unit time can be increased.
Here, the average discharge rate from the discharge unit is the total volume of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas when supplied into the fullerene reaction furnace, and fine jet holes are distributed in the fullerene reaction furnace. It is obtained by dividing by the cross-sectional area of the region (that is, the discharge part), but depending on any one or more of the furnace pressure in the fullerene reactor, the gas temperature at the time of discharge, and the combustion C / O ratio Change. In the present invention, the volume of gas at the time of discharge when calculating the gas discharge speed is converted to the volume at a temperature of 298K.
Further, in order to divide by the area where the fine ejection holes are distributed, that is, the cross-sectional area of the ejection section, at least one of the structure of the ejection section (for example, the inner diameter of the ejection holes, the arrangement pitch of the ejection holes, and the number of ejection holes) Even if 1) changes, the average discharge speed from the discharge section can be treated as constant, which is suitable as an operating parameter for the fullerene reactor.
When the same amount of gas is discharged from the same number of ejection holes, the discharge speed increases as the size of the ejection holes decreases, so the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas are actually discharged from the ejection holes. The discharge speed at that time is larger than the average discharge speed from the discharge portion. However, when producing fullerenes, it is preferable to adjust the structure of the discharge section, that is, the diameter and number of the discharge holes, so that the discharge speed from the discharge holes approaches the average discharge speed from the discharge section. Here, the relationship between the ejection speed from the ejection hole and the average ejection speed from the ejection section is such that the value of (ejection speed / average ejection speed from the ejection section) is 10 or less, preferably 5 or less, more preferably 2 or less. Good.
The value of (discharge speed / average discharge speed from the discharge section) can be set to 1 by making the apparatus (for example, one or both of the discharge section and the fullerene reactor) a special structure. However, in a normally used apparatus, the value of (discharge speed / average discharge speed from the discharge section) is 1 or more.
By defining the average discharge rate from the discharge part of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas supplied into the fullerene reactor in a specific range, the amount of fullerene produced per unit time can be increased. Further, uneven movement of the fullerene precursor generated from the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas heated in the combustion gas flow is suppressed, and the residence time of the fullerene precursor in the combustion gas flow is reduced. It is understood that it can be uniformly heated at a high temperature, and a fullerene formation reaction can be stably generated.
For this reason, for example, when fullerene is produced by the method of the present invention using a burner made of a porous refractory material having a diameter of 10.5 inches described in Patent Document 2, a rod-shaped material of 330 to 3000 grams per hour is produced. Further, the fullerene content in the produced soot can be 10% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less. As a result, for example, when the fullerene content in the rod-like material is 20% by mass, the amount of fullerene produced per hour is about 66 to 600 grams, which is dramatically increased compared to the conventional case. be able to. In addition, when the diameter of the burner is increased, the production amount of fullerene can naturally be increased.
Here, when the average discharge speed from the discharge part when discharging the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas into the fullerene reaction furnace is 0.75 m / second or less, the amount of fullerene produced per unit time is reduced. In addition, it becomes difficult to form a significant discharge flow of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas downstream of the discharge portion. Therefore, the formation of the flow of the combustion gas from the upstream side to the downstream side of the fullerene reactor is not significantly promoted, and a self-circulating flow is easily generated in the combustion gas, which is not preferable. In addition, when the average discharge speed from the burner is such a low speed, the discharge speed from the burner is slower than the combustion speed of the fuel, and in a long-time operation, a phenomenon in which the flame flows back into the burner, that is, A flashback phenomenon occurs, making it impossible to continue operation.
On the other hand, when the average discharge speed from the discharge part when discharging the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas into the fullerene reactor exceeds 10 m / second, the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas formed on the downstream side of the discharge part In addition, the discharge flow of the oxygen-containing gas becomes too strong, and it becomes easy to form a turbulent flow.
Therefore, the combustion gas is agitated by the turbulent flow generated in the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas, and a circulation flow is generated in the combustion gas, which is not preferable.
From the above, the average discharge speed from the discharge part when discharging the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas into the fullerene reaction furnace was specified to be more than 0.75 m / second and 10 m / second or less.
In particular, the fullerene production method according to claim 2 is the fullerene production method according to
The fullerene production method according to claim 3 is the fullerene production method according to
Here, when the product of the average discharge speed Vm / sec and the pressure P torr in the fullerene reactor is less than 30, for example, the average discharge speed is 1.5 m / sec and the pressure in the fullerene reactor is less than 20 torr. In this case, the pressure in the fullerene reactor is advantageous for fullerene generation, but the pressure in the furnace rises due to a slight increase in pressure loss in the downstream piping and bag filter, making it difficult to maintain the set pressure. It becomes.
On the other hand, when the product of the average discharge speed Vm / sec and the pressure P Torr in the fullerene reactor exceeds 1000, for example, when the average discharge speed is 6 m / sec and the pressure in the fullerene reactor exceeds 167 Torr, In the process in which the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is thermally decomposed to produce fullerene or soot other than fullerene, soot formation reaction becomes remarkable and the fullerene production rate deteriorates.
From the above, the lower limit of the product of the average discharge speed Vm / sec and the pressure P torr in the fullerene reactor is 30, preferably 80, more preferably 120, and the upper limit is 1000, preferably 500, 400, 300, It is good to prescribe | regulate in any one of 200 and 150. In this case, if (V × P) exceeds 400, there is a risk of flashback, so that the separate hydrocarbons having independent jets are prepared without premixing the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas. It is preferable to discharge into a fullerene reactor using a burner and to burn in the reactor.
The fullerene production method according to claim 4 is the fullerene production method according to
Here, when the temperature of the gas containing the soot-like material exceeds 700 ° C., it is not preferable because it exceeds the heat-resistant temperature limit of the soot-like material recovery device using a normal industrial material and may damage the equipment. In addition, fullerene sublimates at about 700 ° C. or higher under reduced pressure and exists in a gaseous state. Therefore, when the temperature in the recovery device (gas-solid separation device) exceeds 700 ° C., fullerene is recovered together with the gas in the gaseous state. Since it passes through the apparatus, the fullerene content in the rod-shaped material is undesirably lowered. Furthermore, when the temperature of the gas containing the rod-like material is less than 200 ° C., the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), which is a harmful substance, is mixed in the rod-like material as a solid and is recovered by the recovery device. It is not preferable.
From the above, in order to increase the fullerene content in the rod-like material without damaging the rod-like material collecting device, the temperature of the gas containing the rod-like material before being introduced into the collecting device is 200 ° C. or higher. The lower limit is preferably 300 ° C., more preferably 400 ° C., and the upper limit is preferably 600 ° C., more preferably 500 ° C. By setting the temperature of the gas introduced into the fullerene recovery facility within the above range, the life of the apparatus is extended, and further, the recovery rate of fullerene is improved.
The method for producing fullerene according to
Here, when the cooling rate of the gas containing the rod-like material is less than 1000 ° C./second, the residence time of the gas until reaching the rod-like material collecting device must be lengthened, and the cooling time is secured. Therefore, the length of the piping system of the apparatus is substantially increased, which is not economical. The cooling rate in this case is the temperature difference from the maximum combustion temperature (theoretical adiabatic flame temperature) in the reaction furnace to the inlet gas temperature of the soot-like material recovery device, after being discharged from the discharge part to the recovery device. It is a value divided by the residence time of the gas until it reaches. The residence time of the gas is determined by the volume of the apparatus and the actual volume flow rate of the gas, but the actual volume flow rate of the gas changes with the temperature and pressure, so that it is difficult to actually measure. Here, the average temperature between the theoretical adiabatic flame temperature and the actually measured inlet gas temperature of the soot-like material recovery device is obtained, and the actual volume flow rate (m 3 / sec) of the exhaust gas at the furnace pressure at this average temperature is obtained. Calculation was made by dividing the volume (m 3 ) of the apparatus including the reactor and piping by the actual volume flow rate of the exhaust gas. Further, an optical thermometer may be used for measuring the maximum combustion temperature of the reactor (and the temperature of other high-temperature places). Further, the gas temperature on the inlet side of the recovery device can be measured by a normal method using a thermocouple.
Furthermore, the higher the cooling rate of the gas containing the soot-like material, the better. Therefore, the upper limit value is not specified, but it is practically about 2000 ° C./second due to the limitations of the apparatus.
From the above, in order to achieve an economical apparatus configuration without damaging the rod-like material recovery device, the cooling rate of the gas containing the rod-like material was set to 1000 ° C./second or more, but 2000 ° C./second. It is preferable to set it above, and more preferably 3000 ° C./second or more if possible.
A fullerene production method according to a sixth aspect is the fullerene production method according to the fourth or fifth aspect, wherein the gas containing the soot-like material discharged from the fullerene reaction furnace is placed in a pipe whose periphery is cooled by a refrigerant. A swirl flow is formed to cool. In this way, the gas containing the rod-like material is cooled by forming a swirl flow, so that the contact position between the gas and the inner wall of the pipe can be constantly changed while constantly changing the gas in contact with the inner wall of the pipe. The heat exchange efficiency between the pipe and the inner wall of the pipe can be improved. As a result, the temperature of the entire gas can be reduced uniformly. Moreover, since a high-speed airflow flows through the inner wall portion of the pipe, adhesion of the hook-like material can be significantly reduced.
The method for producing fullerene according to
On the other hand, when the C / O ratio is less than 1.00, the amount of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas to be combusted increases, the combustion temperature increases, the fullerene production rate increases, and as a result, the fullerene content in the rod-like material While the rate is increased, the yield of final fullerenes is decreased, which is undesirable because the yield of the rods themselves decreases.
From the above, the lower limit of the C / O ratio should be 1.00, preferably 1.08, more preferably 1.09, and the upper limit is 1.56, preferably 1.36, more preferably 1. .23 is recommended.
The fullerene production method according to claim 8 is the fullerene production method according to
A fullerene production method according to a ninth aspect is the fullerene production method according to the first to eighth aspects, wherein the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is preheated and discharged from the discharge section into the fullerene reactor. As a result, the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas can be prevented from being liquefied during transportation, the operation can be stabilized, and the combustion temperature of the fullerene reactor can be increased.
A fullerene production method according to a tenth aspect is the fullerene production method according to the first to ninth aspects, wherein the oxygen-containing gas is preheated and discharged from the discharge portion into the fullerene reaction furnace. Thereby, the combustion temperature at the time of burning raw material hydrocarbon containing gas in a fullerene reaction furnace can be raised, and the production efficiency of fullerene can be improved.
The preheating temperature of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is desirably equal to or higher than the vaporization temperature at the working pressure of the raw material hydrocarbon, and is preferably a temperature higher than the vaporization temperature by 10 ° C or more, more preferably 20 ° C or more. The oxygen-containing gas is also preferably preheated and has a temperature similar to that of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas, but is not higher than the self-ignition temperature when the mixed gas is used at the working pressure, preferably not less than 10 ° C lower than the self-ignition temperature It is good to do.
Here, it is possible to adjust the temperature of the mixed gas by changing the preheating temperature of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas, but the temperature difference between the preheating temperatures of the two gases is preferably as small as possible. It should be within 50 ° C.

In particular, in the method for producing fullerene according to claim 2, since the average discharge speed from the discharge part of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas is in the range of 1 m / second or more and 6 m / second or less, a stable flow is achieved. Thus, the production amount of fullerene per unit time can be further increased as compared with the prior art.
In the method for producing fullerene according to claim 3, the product of the average discharge rate Vm / second from the discharge portion of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas and the pressure P torr in the fullerene reactor is 30 or more and 1000 By setting the following range, the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas are burned in a lean state in the fullerene reactor, and the temperature in the fullerene reactor can be made more uniform and high. The generation speed can be increased.
As a result, combustion progresses uniformly, improving the fullerene production efficiency in the fullerene reactor, and further increasing the production amount of fullerene.

The fullerene content in the bowl can be increased without damaging the apparatus.
In the fullerene production method according to
In the method for producing fullerene according to claim 6, since the gas containing the soot-like material is cooled by forming a swirling flow in the pipe cooled around by the refrigerant, heat exchange between the gas and the inner wall of the pipe The efficiency can be improved with a simple apparatus configuration, and the gas cooling efficiency can be further increased. Furthermore, since a high-speed flow is formed on the inner wall of the pipe, deposits such as ridges are reduced in the pipe, and maintenance and inspection are facilitated.
In the method for producing fullerene according to

As a result, the decomposition of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is promoted to increase the production rate of fullerene precursors, and the reaction between fullerene precursors is promoted to improve the production rate of fullerenes.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings for understanding of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, a

Further, the reactor

As the
In addition, the mixing
Alternatively, the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and the oxygen-containing gas may be independently introduced into the
The raw material hydrocarbon-containing
On the lower end side of the
In addition, the temperature of the gas containing the soot-like material discharged from the
In such a case, as shown in FIG. 2, instead of the gas temperature lowering means 28, fullerene using a cyclone type gas temperature lowering means (cooler) 31 that makes a high-temperature gas containing fullerene into a swirl flow and passes through the passage.
The
Further, in this case, the contact position between the gas and the inner wall of the pipe is constantly changed, so that the combustion residue mixed in the soot-like substance floating in the gas or the gas formed in the
As described above, by using the cyclone type gas temperature lowering means 31, the gas containing the soot-like material discharged from the
For this reason, the length of the

Since the mixed gas of toluene gas and oxygen gas is sufficiently mixed before being supplied into the reactor
In order to further raise the temperature of the combustion gas, it is preferable to preheat the mixed gas before discharging it into the reactor
Further, when toluene gas and oxygen gas are independently introduced into the
In addition, although it is preferable to heat-process both toluene gas and oxygen gas, you may make it preheat only one of toluene gas and oxygen gas depending on the case.
In addition to toluene, for example, aromatic hydrocarbons, coal-based hydrocarbons, acetylene-based unsaturated hydrocarbons, ethylene-based hydrocarbons, or aliphatic saturated hydrocarbons can be used as the raw material hydrocarbon. It can also be used by mixing at a ratio of Examples of the aromatic hydrocarbon include benzene, xylene, naphthalene, or anthracene. Examples of the coal-based hydrocarbon include creosote oil or carboxylic acid oil. As the aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon, For example, pentane or hexane.
Among them, it is preferable to use purified hydrocarbon, and aromatic hydrocarbon is particularly preferable. The purity of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is preferably high, but the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas is diluted with an inert gas such as argon gas in order to control the combustion temperature and the concentration of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas during the combustion reaction. May be. As the oxygen-containing gas, oxygen gas having a concentration of 99% or more, oxygen gas having a concentration of 99% or more diluted with an inert gas such as nitrogen or argon gas, or air is used.
Subsequently, the combustion and decomposition of toluene under oxygen when the mixed gas is discharged into the reaction furnace
In the reactor
As a result, a self-circulating flow is less likely to occur in the combustion gas flow. Therefore, it is possible to stabilize the uniform flow that flows out from the upstream side toward the downstream side in the reactor
Here, by providing the
It is understood that the decomposition product of toluene diffused in the combustion gas is heated by the combustion gas and converted into a fullerene precursor, and the fullerene precursor is converted into fullerene while repeatedly colliding with each other. Here, since the flow of the combustion gas containing the decomposition product of toluene is a uniform flow from the upstream side to the downstream side in the reactor
As described above, it has been found that discharging the mixed gas from the

(Examples 1-3)
Fullerenes were produced under the conditions shown in Table 1 using the
As shown in Table 1 and FIG. 3, the average discharge speed of the gas discharged from the burner (hereinafter also referred to as burner flow rate) is 78 cm / second (V × P = 31.2), 155 cm / second (V × P = 62). ) When increasing to 334 cm / sec (V × P = 133.6), the fullerene concentration in the soot slightly decreases to 23.6 mass%, 23.0 mass%, and 14.5 mass%, respectively. However, since the amount of toluene input to the burner is large, the fullerene production amount (production amount) increases to 56 g / h, 99 g / h, and 183 g / h, respectively. Here, the burner flow rate can be further increased.
(Comparative Examples 1-3)
Fullerenes were produced under the conditions shown in Table 2 using the
The manufacturing conditions are substantially the same as those in the example of Table 1, but there is no swirling type cooling device in the
As described above, from the results of Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3, by increasing the burner flow rate, the production amount of fullerene is dramatically increased, and the bag filter inlet temperature is 700 ° C. or lower. It was confirmed that the production efficiency of fullerene can be increased.
(Examples 3 to 6)
Fullerenes were produced under the conditions shown in Table 3 using the
As shown in Table 3 and FIG. 5, even if the pressure in the furnace is changed within the range of 40 to 150 Torr (V × P = 133.5 to 134), the fullerene concentration and the fullerene production amount in the soot are stable. Maintained. In this case, when the pressure in the furnace was increased, the burner flow rate decreased corresponding to the pressure, but the flame could be stably maintained up to 89 cm / sec. However, when the furnace pressure is further increased and the burner flow velocity becomes 75 cm / sec or less, a flashback phenomenon occurs in the burner, and it is difficult to stably maintain the flame.
(Examples 7 to 16)
Fullerenes were produced under the conditions shown in Table 4 using the
As shown in FIG. 6, even when the toluene flow rate was the same, when the C / O ratio was small, the fullerene concentration in the soot was high but the soot yield was low, and as a result, the fullerene production amount was low. On the other hand, when the C / O ratio was high, the fullerene concentration in the soot was low, and the soot yield was high. Note that the fullerene production amount became maximum at around the C / O ratio of 1.15 to 1.17.
From this, it is presumed that the fullerene yield extremely decreases when the elemental composition ratio of carbon in toluene to oxygen is less than 1.00 or exceeds 1.28. In particular, when the C / O ratio was 1.01 or more and 1.23 or less, the fullerene concentration in the soot exceeded 7%, and more fullerenes could be produced than before.
The embodiments of the present invention and the examples for confirming the operation and effects have been described above. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments and the examples, and each configuration described in the specification. It is possible to change each of the above, and a case where the fullerene production method of the present invention is configured by combining a part or all of the above-described embodiments and modifications is also included in the scope of the right of the present invention. For example, toluene gas and oxygen gas heated in a heat exchanger are supplied to a burner through separate pipes, mixed in the burner and then discharged into the reactor main body, but toluene gas and oxygen gas heated in a heat exchanger, respectively. May be mixed with a mixer to form a mixed gas, then supplied to a burner having no mixing chamber, and discharged into the fullerene reactor main body. Also in this case, each heat exchanger is operated so that the temperature of the mixed gas is equal to or higher than the vaporization temperature of toluene and lower than the self-ignition temperature.
Alternatively, toluene gas and oxygen gas respectively heated by a heat exchanger can be discharged into a fullerene reaction furnace from a discharge part provided in the fullerene reaction furnace, and burned while being diffusely mixed in the fullerene reaction furnace. In this case, the heating temperature range of the toluene gas is equal to or higher than the vaporization temperature and lower than the carbonization temperature. The heating temperature range of the oxygen gas is not particularly limited as long as it is equal to or higher than the vaporization temperature of toluene and lower than the ignition temperature when toluene and oxygen gas are mixed.
Although the burner is provided on the upper end side (upward in the vertical direction) of the reaction furnace main body, it is also possible to provide the burner on the upper side of the side part of the fullerene reaction furnace or on the lower end side (lower in the vertical direction). Further, the burner may be provided separately for each ejection hole, and a mixing chamber and a pressure accumulating chamber may be arranged in each.
As the discharge part used for the burner, a discharge part formed of a porous ceramic sintered plate was used, but a discharge part formed of heat-resistant steel such as stainless steel may be used. Also, a burner having a discharge part in which minute diameter nozzles made of a heat-resistant metal made of stainless steel are assembled can be used.
In the method for producing fullerene according to the present invention, the average discharge speed from the discharge portion of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas exceeds 0.75 m / second and is 10 m / second or less (more preferably, 1 m / second or more. 6 m / sec or less), the fullerene raw material supply amount can be increased, and for example, fullerene can be produced at a high production rate of about 87 to 600 g / h. Therefore, the production amount of fullerene per unit time can be increased as compared with the conventional case.
Also, the product (VP) of the average discharge rate Vm / second from the discharge part of the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas and the pressure P torr in the fullerene reactor should be in the range of 30 to 1000. By making the raw material hydrocarbon-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas lean in the fullerene reactor and burning it, the temperature in the fullerene reactor can be made more uniform and high temperature, and the generation rate of fullerene can be increased Is possible.
As a result, combustion progresses uniformly, improving the fullerene production efficiency in the fullerene reactor, and further increasing the production amount of fullerene.
