Description
【0001】
現在、ETC(Electronic Toll Collection: 自動料金収受システム)として知られている無線通信を利用したノンストップ有料道路料金収受システムの試運用が開始されている。
そして、ETCではASK(Amplitude Shift Keying: 振幅変調)によって車載器と路側機との無線通信が行われる。
【0004】

【0019】
<構成>
図6(a)に示すPSK復調波nの波形(遅延前の波形)と、図6(b)に示すΔT遅延波pの波形とを見比べると、PSK復調波n(遅延前)における位相反転部A,Bの位置からΔT遅延波p(遅延後)における位相反転部A,Bの位置までの範囲、即ち、A−Aの範囲(ΔTの範囲)及びB−Bの範囲(ΔTの範囲)では、PSK復調波nとΔT遅延波pとが逆相となっており、A−Aの範囲の左右両側及びB−Bの範囲の左右両側では、PSK復調波nとΔT遅延波pとが同相となっている。
【0031】
【0038】
図7(a)に示すPSK復調波nの波形(遅延前の波形)と、図7(b)に示すΔT遅延波pの波形とを見比べると、PSK復調波n(遅延前)における位相反転部A,Bの位置からΔT遅延波p(遅延後)における位相反転部A,Bの位置までの範囲、即ち、A−Aの範囲(ΔTの範囲)及びB−Bの範囲(ΔTの範囲)では、PSK復調波nとΔT遅延波pとが逆相となっている。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle-mounted device mounted on a vehicle and performing wireless communication with a roadside device installed on a roadside.
[0002]
[Prior art]
At present, trial operation of a non-stop toll road toll collection system using wireless communication known as ETC (Electronic Toll Collection: automatic toll collection system) has been started. This system uses radio waves of 5.8 GHz, and wireless data is transmitted between a roadside device having a wireless communication function installed on the road side and an onboard device having a wireless communication function mounted on a vehicle. In this system, the toll is subtracted from the vehicle-mounted device or the IC card provided in the vehicle-mounted device by performing transmission.
[0003]
FIG. 10 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a conventional vehicle-mounted device. As shown in the figure, the vehicle-mounted device has a transmitter and a receiver. The roadside unit also has a transmitter and a receiver similar to the onboard unit. In the ETC, wireless communication between the vehicle-mounted device and the roadside device is performed by ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying: amplitude modulation).
[0004]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 10, the transmitter of the vehicle-mounted device modulates the amplitude of the 5.795 GHz carrier output from the
[0005]
On the other hand, the receiver of the vehicle-mounted device receives the ASK-modulated wave a transmitted from the roadside device via the antenna 6 and amplifies the ASK-modulated wave a with the amplifier 7, and then the RF is a high frequency in this RF (Radio Frequency: radio frequency) band. The ASK demodulated wave b, which is an intermediate frequency of 40 MHz, is generated by mixing (taking a difference) between the ASK modulated wave a and the 5.835 GHz high frequency output from the oscillator 8 in the
[0006]
The same transmission and reception as in the vehicle-mounted device are performed in the roadside device. In the ETC, dedicated short-range communication (DSRC: Dedicated Short Range Communication) is performed because it is necessary to sequentially communicate with each vehicle (vehicle limited communication), and the transmission speed is 1 Mbps. Since the transmission speed is 1 Mbps, the ratio with the 40 MHz ASK demodulated wave b is 40: 1, which is 40 waves per bit.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
On the other hand, in addition to the ETC, the on-vehicle device is not limited to the ETC, and is intended to reduce the traffic congestion in urban areas known as free flow type ERP (Electronic road Pricing). There is a need to support various applications such as provision and control of traffic information, automatic driving support, and logistics / operation management using an intelligent charging system and an ITS (Intelligent Transport System). In other words, there is a demand for using the on-vehicle device not only for ETC but also for highway information terminals and the like. However, this has several problems as follows.
[0008]
(1) To cope with various applications other than ETC, high-speed communication of, for example, 5 Mbps is required. However, high-speed communication of 5 Mbps is difficult in the current wireless communication system used in ETC. In other words, when the transmission speed is 5 Mbps, the ratio of the transmission speed to the ASK demodulated wave b of 40 MHz is 8: 1, so that the waveform of the ASK demodulated wave b at this time has data rounding (FIG. 12). (Waveform rounding) occurs. For this reason, transmission distortion increases, and the reliability of wireless communication decreases.
(2) By enabling high-speed communication, it is possible to transmit moving images to the inside of a moving car, but at the same time, the on-board equipment can be used for ETC that will be operated nearby. There is a need to.
(3) When supporting various applications, each application has a required communication area, so it is necessary to flexibly set the communication area according to each application. Does not have such a function.
[0009]
Therefore, in view of the above problems, the present invention provides an in-vehicle device capable of performing high-speed communication, performing high-speed communication and using it for ETC, and setting a communication area flexibly according to each application. That is the task.

And a phase demodulation means configured to multiply the phase demodulated wave by the phase demodulation wave by a phase demodulation means.

And
In the communication control means, the identification information of the application included in the phase demodulation data input from the reception sensitivity switching means and the phase demodulation data are output to the communication control means when the radio wave intensity exceeds any threshold. And determining whether or not the phase demodulated data has been received within the required communication area based on the information.
[0014]

On the other hand, when performing application communication other than ETC (when performing communication using PSK), the PSK modulation wave i is received via the antenna 54 and amplified by the
[0029]
Since the PSK demodulated wave n is 40 MHz, assuming that the transmission speed of the second transmission data e is 5 Mbps, the ratio with the transmission speed is 8: 1. That is, there are eight waves per bit. Then, the PSK demodulated wave n is output to a
[0030]
The delay unit 45 delays the PSK demodulated wave n by ΔT time to obtain a ΔT delayed wave p, and outputs the ΔT delayed wave p to the
[0031]
Note that the delay time ΔT is set so that the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p have opposite phases in the delay range (the range of AA and the range of BB) of the phase inversion unit. n is an integral multiple of one wavelength. In the illustrated example, the delay time ΔT is set to twice the wavelength of the PSK demodulated wave n (two wavelengths: 50 nsec if the transmission speed is 5 Mbps).
[0032]
The
[0033]
As shown in FIG. 6C, the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p have opposite phases in the range of AA (range of ΔT) and the range of BB (range of ΔT). , The result is a multiplication of + and-or-and +, so that the multiplication result is negative. That is, the signal level decreases. On the other hand, since the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p are in phase on both the left and right sides of the range AA and the left and right sides of the range BB, multiplication of + and + or-and-is performed. Therefore, the multiplication result is positive. That is, the signal level increases.
[0034]
As a result, it is possible to extract a change in the phase of the PSK demodulated wave n in the phase inverting portions A and B (that is, a change from 1 to 0 or a change from 0 to 1). That is, the PSK demodulated data k obtained here is not complete PSK demodulated data, but rather phase change extracted data. If the phase change extraction data is obtained in this manner, the
[0035]
That is, each time a phase change (reverse phase portion) is extracted, each bit is changed from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1, and if no phase change is extracted, it is set to the same 1 or 0 as the previous bit. Data can be demodulated. At this time, if the first bit serving as a reference is previously defined as 1 or 0, whether subsequent bits become 1 or 0 depends on whether or not a phase change has been extracted. Whether the first bit of data is set to 1 or 0 may be defined, for example, in a packet detection word (unique word) in the communication format (details will be described later) of FIG. Further, the transmission data may be transmitted in a range where the PSK demodulated wave n and the ΔT delayed wave p overlap.
[0036]
By the way, although the case where the delay time ΔT is shorter than one bit of data has been described above, the delay means 45 converts the PSK demodulated wave n into one bit (for example, 200 nsec if the transmission speed is 5 Mbit, and If the delay can be delayed by 400 nsec), the PSK demodulated data k obtained by the

More specifically, the waveform of the PSK demodulated wave n shown in FIG. 7A is the same as the waveform of the PSK demodulated wave n shown in FIG. Then, the delay unit 45 delays the PSK demodulated wave n by one bit (eight wavelengths) to obtain a ΔT delayed wave p as shown in FIG. 7B, and converts the ΔT delayed wave p to PSK. Output to the
[0038]
When comparing the waveform of the PSK demodulated wave n (waveform before delay) shown in FIG. 7A and the waveform of the ΔT delayed wave p shown in FIG. 7B, the phase inversion in the PSK demodulated wave n (before delay) is obtained. The range from the position of the parts A and B to the position of the phase inversion parts A and B in the ΔT delay wave p (after delay), that is, the range of AA (the range of ΔT) and the range of BB (the range of ΔT) ), The PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p have opposite phases. On the right side of the range BB, the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p are in phase, and on the left side of the range AA, the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p are in phase. Has become.
[0039]
The
[0040]
As shown in FIG. 7C, in the range of AA (the range of ΔT) and the range of BB (the range of ΔT), the PSK demodulated wave n in FIG. 7A and the ΔT in FIG. Since the delayed wave p has an opposite phase, the multiplication of + and-or-and + is performed, and the multiplication result is negative. That is, the signal level decreases. On the other hand, since the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p are in phase on the right side of the range BB, the multiplication of + and + or-and-results in a positive multiplication result. That is, the signal level increases. On the left side of the range AA, the PSK demodulation wave n and the ΔT delay wave p have the same phase, so that the multiplication result is positive.
[0041]
As is clear from FIG. 7 (c), the multiplication result is negative (low signal level) in the bit that changes from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 with respect to the previous bit, and the same 1 as the previous bit. Alternatively, in a bit in the state of 0, the multiplication result is positive (high signal level). That is, the PSK demodulated data k is data directly corresponding to 1, 0, 1, 1 of the PSK demodulated wave n. Therefore, based on the PSK demodulated data k, the
[0042]
That is, in the PSK demodulated data k, the negative (signal level) portion (bit) is changed from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 with respect to the previous bit, and the positive (signal level high) portion (bit) is changed from the previous bit. The data can be demodulated by setting 1 or 0, which is the same as the bit of (1). If the first bit as a reference at this time is defined in advance as 1 or 0, whether the subsequent bits become 1 or 0 is determined by whether the signal is negative (low signal level) or positive (signal level). Low).
