Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a photoreceptor unit used in an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a facsimile, and a copying machine that forms an image using an electrophotographic technique.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, an image forming apparatus using an electrophotographic technique includes a photosensitive member having a photosensitive layer on an outer peripheral surface, a charging unit for uniformly charging the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive member, and a uniform charging by the charging unit. Exposing means for selectively exposing the outer peripheral surface to form an electrostatic latent image, and applying a toner as a developer to the electrostatic latent image formed by the exposing means to form a visible image (toner image). And transfer means for transferring the toner image developed by the developing means to a transfer medium such as paper.
[0003]
As the photoreceptor, a hard photoreceptor drum having a photosensitive layer formed on the outer peripheral surface and a flexible photoreceptor belt having a photosensitive layer formed on the surface are generally known.
[0004]
Further, as the charging unit, the developing unit, and the transfer unit, a roller-shaped unit that is in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor is known, and the roller includes a hard unit and a soft unit. Are known.
[0005]
If a hard photoconductor drum is used as the photoconductor and a hard roller is used as the roller that comes into contact with the photoconductor, there is naturally a limit in manufacturing the photoconductor drum and the hard roller with high accuracy, and the error is always limited. Therefore, it is difficult to bring the two into uniform contact. If the two do not contact uniformly, there is a problem that a gap is locally formed, resulting in uneven charging, uneven development, uneven transfer, and a situation in which the photosensitive drum and the hard roller are damaged by being pressed more than necessary.
[0006]
Therefore, it is not usually practiced that both the photoconductor and the roller that comes into contact with the photoconductor are made of a hard material. When a hard photoconductor drum is used as the photoconductor, the roller is made of a soft rubber. When a hard roller is used, a flexible photoreceptor belt is used as the photoreceptor.
[0007]
However, when the roller to be brought into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor is made of soft rubber, there are the following problems.
[0008]
When a charging roller or the like to be brought into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor is formed of a rubber roller, conductive particles such as carbon are dispersed in order to impart conductivity to the roller. There is a problem that the rubber hardness changes due to variations and variations in the hardness on the roller surface, so that a good adhesion state to the photoreceptor cannot be obtained.
[0009]
Conversely, if the dispersion amount of carbon is reduced in order to obtain a good adhesion state to the photoreceptor, there is a problem that the conductivity is varied and causes uneven charging.
[0010]
Also, if a plasticizer is added as a compounding agent to enhance flexibility, the plasticizer may ooze out to the surface depending on the long-term use or use environment. There is a problem that the photoconductive material in the photoconductor is denatured by adhering to the surface of the photoconductor, or the surface of the photoconductor is peeled off due to the photoconductor being stuck to the roller.
[0011]
Such a problem can be solved by using a hard roller as the roller and using a flexible photoconductor belt as the photoconductor.
[0012]
However, when a photoreceptor belt is used as a photoreceptor, at least two support rollers are required to support the photoreceptor belt, so that not only the structure becomes complicated, but also the apparatus becomes large. there were.
[0013]
Therefore, it is desired to solve such a problem at the same time.
[0014]
In order to meet such a demand, a photoconductor driving device described in JP-A-4-188164 has been conventionally known.
[0015]
8A and 8B are views showing the photoconductor driving device, wherein FIG. 8A is a side view and FIG. 8B is a perspective view.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a photoreceptor that can reliably and stably contact with a hard developing roller and can be driven reliably. To provide units.
[0026]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the photoreceptor unit according to
A pair of disk-shaped members rotatably attached to the shaft,
Both ends are supported and fixed by these pair of disk-shaped members, and a thin-walled cylindrical photoconductor having flexibility that rotates together with the disk-shaped members,
A backup member made of an elastic body that is attached to the shaft inside the photoconductor and supports the photoconductor from the inside at a contact position where the developing roller contacts the photoconductor from the outside,
Urging means for urging the backup member in the support direction, a positioning portion provided on the disc-shaped member, for positioning the backup member in the support direction,
It is characterized by having.
[0028]
Photosensitive unit according to claim 2, wherein, in the photosensitive member unit according to
[0029]
[Effects]
According to the photoconductor unit of the first aspect, the following operation and effect can be obtained. (A) Since both ends of the thin cylindrical photoreceptor are supported and fixed by a pair of disc-shaped members rotatably attached to a shaft, when the disc-shaped member is driven to rotate, the photosensitive The body is reliably driven to rotate.
[0030]
Further, since both ends of the photoreceptor are supported and fixed by a pair of disk-shaped members, the durability is excellent.
[0031]
(B) The photoconductor is a flexible thin-walled cylindrical shape, and has a configuration in which both ends are supported by the disk-shaped members. Therefore, the photoconductor is not supported by the disk-shaped members. The central portion is inwardly deformable.
[0032]
Therefore, the central portion of the photoreceptor can be used as a so-called pseudo soft material, so that even if the member to be in contact with the photoreceptor is a hard developing roller or the like, it can be reliably contacted.
[0033]
At the contact position where the developing roller comes into contact with the photoconductor from the outside, the photoconductor is supported from the inside by the backup member made of an elastic body, so that the vibration of the photoconductor is suppressed. As a result, a stable contact state with the developing roller is obtained, and as a result, the occurrence of jitter and density unevenness is suppressed.
[0034]
Since the backup member is made of an elastic material, the inward deformation of the central portion of the photoconductor is not hindered by the backup member.
[0035]
As described above, according to the photoreceptor unit of the first aspect, it is possible to obtain an effect that a reliable and stable contact state with the hard developing roller can be obtained and the drive can be reliably performed.
[0036]
Furthermore, according to the photosensitive member unit according to
[0037]
That is, the disc-shaped member is provided with a positioning portion for positioning the backup member in the supporting direction, and the urging force of the urging means is received by the positioning portion. The force is prevented from acting.
[0038]
Therefore, according to the photoconductor unit of the second aspect, the driving torque of the photoconductor can be reduced while suppressing the vibration of the photoconductor.
[0039]
According to the photoreceptor unit of the second aspect, in the photoreceptor unit of the first aspect , since the backup member is formed of a rotatable roller, a smooth rotation state of the photoreceptor can be obtained. At the same time, the load on the photoconductor can be reduced.
[0040]
Therefore, according to the photoconductor unit of the second aspect , the driving torque of the photoconductor can be further reduced while suppressing the vibration of the photoconductor.
