スにおいて、前記ボックス本体の前側の縦板部に、前記
カバーの後端部の進入角度に対して鈍角となる角度を有
し、且つ前記縦板部の上方から下方へ延びて突設された
リブを有することを特徴とするものであるから、レバー
の操作部を持ち上げると、該レバーの操作部の移動に伴
い、カバーが後方に移動するが、かかるカバーの後端部
がボックス本体にぶつかると共にリブによって下方にガ
イドされるので、化粧部材の摺動孔からスムーズに移動
することになる。かかるリブは、カバーの後端部の進入
角度に対して鈍角となる角度を有しているため、カバー
後端部が進入してくると、カバーはリブに沿ってスムー
ズに下方にずれ、レバーの操作部の操作感が向上する。
リブは、ボックス本体の前側の縦板部の上方から下方へ
延びて突設されているため、ボックス本体は上方からの
押圧力に対する強度が著しく向上する。そのため、車両
乗員がボックス本体を肘掛けとして使用した時のぐらぐ
ら感が減少し、しっかり感が向上する、という実益的効
