とを備えている。前輪7は、エンジン5に依り回転され
る。後輪8は、ハンドル9を操作する事に依り換向され
る。荷役装置3は、車体2の前側に設けられたもので、
この例では、車体2の前側に前後傾可能に設けられたマ
スト12と、これに昇降可能に設けられたキャリッジ1
3と、これに懸架された左右のフォーク14とを備えて
いる。カウンタウエイト4は、車体2の後側に設けられ
たもので、この例では、エンジン5の後側に近接して設
けてあり、バランスがとれる大きさと重さにしてある。
つまり、従来のエンジン冷却装置があったスペースをカ
ウンタウエイトの一部として利用している。エンジン5
は、荷役装置3とカウンタウエイト4との間の車体2に
