あり、ロール紙終端検知が出来ないという欠点があっ

ロール状記録終端に施された丸穴は、熱転写式カラー

型センサーに対応し、丸穴部分では反射物がなにもない
ため、センサー出力は零で無しであり、丸穴以外ではセ
ンサー出力が有る。この有無の信号により、ロール紙の
終端検出が可能となる。また巻芯にロール紙終端部を固
着することでロール紙の巻きもどしも可能となり、往復
記録も可能となる。また特にロール状記録紙が透明シー
トの場合、透明部分のセンサー出力が安定して出力出来
るように反射型センサーのゲインを高く設定するため、
記録紙終端部近傍を黒色印刷又は黒色テープ等貼付る方
法等も考えられるが、いずれも反射光を発生し安定した
検出とはならない。

紙センサー8の真下に来た時、発光側8−aよりの赤外
線は、ロール状記録紙2の丸穴部2−bを通過し、受光
側8−bには反射光がはいらなくなり、結果としてセン
サー出力は零となる。これが第4図のロール状記録紙2
の終端検出状態である。この後図示しない装置内の記録
紙巻戻し機構により、所定位置までロール状記録紙2を
巻戻し、装置外部の表示板等に記録紙切れ等のアラーム
表示をする。

録紙終端検出が可能となる。また巻芯にロール紙終端部
を固着することで、熱転写カラー記録等の往復重ね記録
時における記録紙巻戻しも容易に出来、この結果終端部
の記録紙が装置内でジャムになるという心配も排除する
ことが出来る。
