ルキヤツプの形状など関連部品への影響もあることにな
つた。

トルクを出来るだけ有効な部材間の締付け力に変換し、
それを維持させることが肝要である。その為にもナツト
の締付けトルクを大きくすることが必要となつてくる
が、それには車軸先端のねじ部3aの耐捩切れ強度や締付
け労力の面での限界があつた。従つて、ねじ部の強度の
許す限り高い締付けトルクで締付けてそれを最大に維持
することが必要である。ところがコーンワツシヤ7の剛
性が相対的に高い場合は締付けトルクで発生する摩擦力
が大きく、外的負荷によつて摩擦力が解放されていつた
とき、最終的にはナツト6の締付けトルクから摩擦力を
差し引いた締付け力に収束される。逆にコーンワツシヤ
の剛性が相対的に低い場合、摩擦が作用したとしてもナ
ツトによつて締付けられた締付荷重に近い状態の締付け
力で維持されることになる。

捩れを生じスプリング作用がきくことになり、剛性が相
対的に低いものとなつて締付荷重の有効な締付けが出来
る。また、コーンワッシャ7の両端縁がそれぞれ同一平
面上に存在してずれがないため、ハブ5と車軸3との同
心を容易に確保することも出来る。

けることであつたが、コーンワツシヤの締付けで発生す
る摩擦力を低くたもてるようにハブの内周テーパ部より
コーンワツシヤの外周テーパ部の円錐角度を大きくした
のでスプリング作用効果を生じて、ナツトの締付けトル
クが締付け力を大きく有効に利用出来、また摩擦力が低
いのでハブに車輪などより伝達されてくる外力によつて
左右されることが少なく、耐久性をも格段と向上させる
ことが出来たものである。
