Abstract
Description
本発明は、一般に、液体医薬品の皮下送達に適した、コンパクトで、精密で、信頼性が高く低コストなポンプに関する。より具体的には、本発明の実施形態は、回転運動を受けるピストンまたはダイアフラムを有するポンプに関する。送達されるべき医薬品は、糖尿病患者のためのインスリンであってもよい。
糖尿病は、インスリン産生、インスリン作用、またはその両方の欠陥に起因する血糖値の高い値によって特徴づけられる疾患群である。米国では、人口の8%に当たる2,360万人が糖尿病を患っている。糖尿病の総有病率は、2005年から2007年の間に13.5%増加している。糖尿病は重篤な合併症や早死につながる可能性があるが、糖尿病の人が病気を制御し、合併症のリスクを下げるために利用できるよく知られた製品がある。
本発明の一実施形態によれば、液体をポンピングするためのポンプが提供され、前記ポンプは、入口および出口を有する軸方向に移行可能なチャンバと、チャンバ内に回転可能に受容されたピストンまたはダイアフラムと、入口およびチャンバの間の第1の弁と、出口およびチャンバの間の第2の弁と、チャンバに取り付けられたカムと、ピストンに取り付けられカムと接触してチャンバを軸方向に移行させるためのフォロアと、チャンバ上にチャンバの軸方向に力を加えるためにチャンバに作用してその接触を維持するバイアス手段と、を備える。

Claims (15)
- 液体のポンピングのためのポンプシステムであって、前記ポンプシステムが、
入口および出口を備えた軸方向に移行可能なチャンバと、
前記チャンバ内に回転可能に受容されたピストンと、
前記入口および前記チャンバの間にある第1の弁と、
前記出口および前記チャンバの間にある第2の弁と、
前記チャンバに取り付けられたカムと、
前記ピストンに取り付けられ前記カムと接触して前記チャンバを軸方向に移行させるためのフォロアと、
前記チャンバに前記チャンバの軸方向に力を加えるために前記チャンバ上に作用してその接触を維持するバイアス手段と、
を備える、ポンプシステム。 - 前記第1および第2の弁が、逆止弁を備える、請求項1に記載のポンプシステム。
