Abstract

一般的に、本発明は没入型かつ反応型ゲームプレイの練習場、システムおよび方法に関し、上記は、各ユーザおよび他のユーザの、没入型の、ただし共有された画像表示を可能にするとともに、シミュレーション(疑似)表示の有利な点を、物理的なプレイ会場に組み合わせることにより、参加をさらに拡大するアクティビティのために、共有されるプレイ会場を含んだ部分的なシミュレーション環境を提供するものである。
パーソナルコンピュータ上で、物理的なアクティビティをシミュレートしようとする試みは、キーボードおよび/またはマウスといった、簡便で、普遍的な制御装置の使用から始まった。計算能力および画像処理の改良により、エンドユーザに、更なる「まるで生きているかのような」外観と操作性を与えながら、シミュレーションをより正確なものとしてきた。その結果、仮想的、またはシミュレートされたアクティビティへの一般的、大衆的関心は高まり、とりわけ、物理的な世界の類似物を伴うスポーツおよびゲームでは、より高度で、アクティビティ特有な入力方法が急速に普及してきた。

Claims (26)

前記ベイステーションから延びるとともに、前記ベイステーションから打撃を与えられた、発射された、または打たれたボールの視覚化を動的に表示するように構成された、相互干渉型のプレイ会場または練習場の表面と、
前記相互干渉型の練習場の表面の末端部に位置する、相互干渉型の練習場境界部ディスプレイと、
少なくとも一つのセンサシステム、前記相互干渉型の練習場の表面、および前記相互干渉型の練習場境界部ディスプレイと電子通信する練習場視覚化システムと、
を備えるゲームプレイの練習場。 - 前記練習場の表面および前記練習場境界部ディスプレイは、つなぎ目のないディスプレイ表面を提供するために、接合されるか、固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の練習場。

- 前記練習場側面および/または前記練習場境界部ディスプレイは、ピクチャ・イン・ピクチャ表示を含むことを特徴とする請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 前記センサシステムは、前記ベイステーション内に位置するベイ内センサシステム、および、前記練習場の表面の近位に位置する練習場センサシステムを備えることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記練習場視覚化システムはショットデータベースおよびディスプレイサーバを備えることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 請求項16の前記システムを使用した、没入型かつ反応型ゲームプレイの方法。
