Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a work straightening method and a work straightening device for straightening straightness, roundness, etc. in a long metal work such as an aluminum (Al) pipe material.
In the present specification and claims, the term "aluminum" is used to include aluminum and its alloys.
As a substrate for a photosensitive drum of an electrophotographic apparatus such as a copier, a printer, or a facsimile, a drawn tube obtained by drawing out an extruded aluminum tube material, a so-called ED tube, is often used.
The ED tube as a substrate for a photosensitive drum is required to have high surface accuracy and at the same time high dimensional accuracy. In particular, it is strictly required to have straightness, that is, no waviness or bending in the axial direction.
Under such circumstances, the ED pipe as a long work that has undergone extrusion processing and drawing processing has been subjected to straightening processing in order to improve straightness and roundness, and the work after the straightening has been performed. Is generally cut to a predetermined size and used as a substrate for a photosensitive drum.
As shown in
The roll straightening machine 1 includes a large number of sets of drum-
On the other hand, the
Further, the rear part of the
When the tubular work W is straightened by the work straightening device, the tubular work W is thrown into the roll straightening machine 1 while keeping all the
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, in order to avoid the occurrence of the above-mentioned surface damage, when the tip of the tubular work W is charged into the introduction
By the way, even in a state where the conventional work straightening device is operating normally, when the tip (front end) of the tubular work W enters between the
However, in the conventional work straightening device, there is no method for effectively monitoring or detecting the work damaged by fluttering, and the damaged work flows out to the subsequent processes as it is, resulting in problems such as a decrease in production efficiency. There was a problem that
As shown in
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and provides a work correction method and apparatus capable of accurately detecting harmful fluttering of a work and appropriately responding to a defect due to the occurrence of fluttering. The purpose is to provide.
In order to achieve the above object, the present inventor first investigated the mechanism when fluttering occurs. According to this, in a state where the rear end of the work is supported by the pushing member and pushed in and the front end of the work is put into the first straightening roll of the roll straightening machine, the work is formed with the rear end and the front end of the work as nodes. It vibrates in the natural vibration mode, but gradually there is a close relationship between the natural frequency (Hz) of the work and the rotation speed (r / s) of the work that rotates on its own axis when it is put into the straightening roll. It has become clear. Furthermore, the present inventor analyzed the investigation results and repeated in-depth experimental research. As a result, resonance occurred when the natural frequency of the work in the secondary natural vibration mode and the work rotation speed matched. It was found that a lot of fluttering occurred due to resonance. On the other hand, in the work that vibrates naturally, the anti-node part is displaced the most, so by monitoring the part that is displaced the most, when abnormal fluttering occurs, it is compared with the normal time. It is considered that the difference in the amount of displacement appears remarkably. That is, they have found that the presence or absence of fluttering can be accurately detected by monitoring the amount of displacement in the vicinity of the abdomen of the work vibrating in the secondary natural vibration mode, and have completed the present invention.

In this specification, in order to facilitate understanding of the invention, the left side with respect to the paper surface of FIG. 1 will be referred to as "front side (downstream side)" and the right side will be referred to as "rear side (upstream side)".
First of all, the work W to be straightened in the work straightening apparatus of the present embodiment is a tubular work W, and is an ED used as a substrate for a photosensitive drum of an electrophotographic apparatus such as a copier, a printer, or a facsimile. The target is aluminum pipe materials composed of pipes and the like.

Then, in the present embodiment, the natural frequency fn (Hz) of the unloaded portion W1 in the work W in the secondary natural vibration mode and the rotation speed Rn (r / s) when the work W rotates on its own axis match. When the length of the unloaded portion W1 is set to "L1", the measurement position (detection position) L2 with respect to the work W by the displacement
In other words, the relationship of (0.15 × L1) ≦ L2 ≦ (0.35 × L1) or (0.65 × L1) ≦ L2 ≦ (0.85 × L1) is established.
By setting the measurement position L2 by the displacement
That is, the present inventor has found that resonance occurs when the natural frequency fn of the work W in the secondary natural vibration mode and the work rotation speed Rn match, and the resonance causes a lot of harmful fluttering. Was clarified. In addition, since the work that vibrates naturally has a large amount of displacement in the abdomen, when fluttering occurs in that part, the difference in the amount of displacement becomes remarkable as compared with the normal case. Therefore, by monitoring the area around the abdomen, the presence or absence of fluttering can be detected with high accuracy.
Therefore, in the work W (unloaded portion W1) having a length L1 that naturally vibrates in the secondary natural vibration mode, the position of the abdomen is 0.25 × L1 and 0 with the work correction inlet position P1 as the base point. Since the position is set to the position of .75 × L1, the method of monitoring the surroundings was found, and the above relational expression was derived.
Further, the length L of the unloaded portion W1 gradually becomes shorter as the correction process progresses, but the length of the unloaded portion W1 becomes equal to the rotation speed when the natural frequency in the secondary natural vibration mode becomes equal to the rotation speed. Since it becomes "L1" and a lot of fluttering occurs at that time, the presence or absence of fluttering can be further determined by measuring with the displacement
Further, the displacement
Further, as the displacement
Next, a specific calculation method of the measurement position by the displacement
First, the rotation speed Rn (r / s) of the tubular work W that rotates on its own axis in the circumferential direction at the time of correction is obtained by actual measurement or the like. For example, the rotation speed of a tubular work W that rotates in a stable state due to the driving force of the straightening
Next, the natural frequency fn of the tubular work W in the secondary natural vibration mode is obtained using the following relational expression.
Here, "kn" is a constant corresponding to the eigenvalue, "E" is the Young's modulus, "I" is the moment of inertia of area, "A" is the cross-sectional area, and "L" is the length (the length of the unloaded portion W1). S), "ρ" is the density.
In this relational expression, "kn" is calculated using the secondary natural vibration mode of fixed at one end and supported at one end. That is, it can be considered that the straightening
Therefore, as described above, when the length of the unloaded portion W1 becomes “L1”, the natural frequency fn and the rotation speed Rn become equal.
In the work straightening device of the present embodiment, as described above, after determining the measurement position L2 of the displacement
As described above, in the work straightening device of the present embodiment, a portion having a large displacement amount in the vibrating work W is specified, and the displacement amount is measured by the displacement
Further, in the work straightening device of the present embodiment, when the displacement amount is measured by the displacement
The tubular thin-walled aluminum pipe as the work W was straightened using the same roll straightening device as in the above embodiment. At this time, the rotation speed Rn (r / s) in the circumferential direction of the work W is measured by actual measurement, and the work W when the natural frequency fn (Hz) in the secondary natural vibration mode matches the above rotation speed Rn. The length L1 of (unfilled portion W1) was calculated in the same manner as in the above embodiment.
As shown in Table 1, at the level (experimental example) 1, the measuring
Here, the
On the other hand, the levels 1, 4 to 6, 9 correspond to the comparative examples as shown in Table 1, and the measuring
In this state, a preliminary correction process is performed, and the amount of displacement (amplitude) by the measuring
Further, for each level 1 to 9, the normal amplitude and the midpoint at the time of fluttering occurrence, that is, (“normal amplitude” + “fluttering occurrence amplitude”) / 2 were set as threshold values.
Since the work W (unloaded portion W1) is supported at two points in the front and rear, it is in a bent state so that the intermediate portion is located downward. The amplitude values shown in Table 1 correspond to the apparent amplitude including the deflection of the work W. For example, in the normal amplitude, the level 5 is the largest value even though it corresponds to a node, but it is substantially "0" in the natural vibration in the secondary natural vibration mode.
Subsequently, as this experiment, a correction process was performed on 1000 workpieces W, and the length of the unloaded portion W1 of the workpieces W was between (0.95 × L1) and (1.05 × L1) by the measuring
As is clear from Table 1, at
During the straightening process of the work W, bending occurs so that the intermediate portion in the length direction of the work W is located downward, and the amount of this deflection gradually decreases as the straightening process progresses. In other words, when measuring the amplitude (displacement amount) with the measuring
