Abstract
Description
(1)バルーン電極アセンブリを拡張させ、
(2)バルーン電極アセンブリの1つ以上の電極と、心房の組織が1つの円周に沿って接触するように、バルーン電極アセンブリを所望の位置に、入れ子のようにして、あるいは他の状態にして配置し、
(3)感知用及び/又は焼灼用に、1つ以上の電極を作動させ、
(4)心房のさまざまな異なる組織が、バルーン電極アセンブリの1つ以上の電極と、同一の円周に概ね沿って接触するように、バルーン電極アセンブリをその長手方向の軸周りに回転させ、
(5)感知用及び/又は焼灼用に、1つ以上の電極を作動させ、
(6)ステップ(4)及び(5)を、望むところに応じて繰り返し、
(7)バルーン電極アセンブリを収縮させ、

前記外側バルーン部材が、前記内側バルーン部材の膨張に対応して膨張するよう適合された、カテーテル。
(13) 前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位側にある、遠位側電極アセンブリをさらに備える、実施態様12に記載のカテーテル。
(14) 前記内側バルーン部材が、前記内側バルーン部材の内部から、前記外側バルーン部材によって覆われた、前記内側バルーン部材の外部の空間に流体を通過させるように構成された少なくとも1つの流体ポートを有する、実施態様12に記載のカテーテル。
(15) 前記外側バルーン部材が、流体を前記空間から前記外側バルーン部材の外側に通すように構成された、少なくとも1つの流体ポートを有する、実施態様14に記載のカテーテル。
(17) 前記感圧アセンブリは、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの近位側にある、実施態様16に記載のカテーテル。
(18) 前記感圧アセンブリは、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位端部と近位端部との間にある、実施態様16に記載のカテーテル。
(19) 前記感圧アセンブリは、弾性部材を有する、実施態様16に記載のカテーテル。
(20) 前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位側にある、灌注式先端電極をさらに備える、実施態様12に記載のカテーテル。
Claims (17)
- 近位端部と遠位端部とを有する細長いカテーテル本体と、
前記カテーテル本体の遠位側にある、バルーン電極アセンブリであって、少なくとも内側バルーン部材と、前記内側バルーン部材の少なくとも一部を覆う外側バルーン部材と、を有し、前記外側バルーン部材の外表面上に複数のアブレーション電極をさらに備える、バルーン電極アセンブリと、
前記カテーテル本体を通って延在し、前記内側バルーン部材を膨張させるために前記内側バルーン部材内に流体を通すように適合された管腔を画定している管と、を備え、
前記外側バルーン部材が、前記内側バルーン部材の膨張に対応して膨張するよう適合された、カテーテル。 - 前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位側にある、遠位側電極アセンブリをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記内側バルーン部材が、前記内側バルーン部材の内部から、前記外側バルーン部材によって覆われた、前記内側バルーン部材の外部の空間に流体を通過させるように構成された少なくとも1つの流体ポートを有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記外側バルーン部材が、流体を前記空間から前記外側バルーン部材の外側に通すように構成された、少なくとも1つの流体ポートを有する、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 感圧アセンブリをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記感圧アセンブリは、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの近位側にある、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記感圧アセンブリは、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位端部と近位端部との間にある、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記感圧アセンブリは、弾性部材を有する、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記バルーン電極アセンブリの遠位側にある、灌注式先端電極をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記バルーン電極アセンブリが、前記複数のアブレーション電極から前記内側バルーン部材と前記外側バルーン部材との間の空間を通って延びる少なくとも1つの電極リードワイヤをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記遠位側電極アセンブリは、少なくとも1つ電極と、電磁式位置センサーとを有する、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記外側バルーン部材と前記内側バルーン部材との間の空間に配置され、前記電磁式位置センサーに接続されたケーブル、をさらに備える、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記複数のアブレーション電極は、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの軸線に沿って長手方向に延在する細長い電極ストリップの形態である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記複数のアブレーション電極は、前記バルーン電極アセンブリの軸線に沿って長手方向に延在する細長い電極ストリップの形態であり、前記内側バルーン部材および前記外側バルーン部材は、前記細長い電極ストリップの相互間に延在する長手方向のひだを含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 異なる軸線に沿って方向付けられた少なくとも2つのコイルを含むセンサーをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 磁場発生器をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記バルーン電極アセンブリの前記カテーテル本体に対する相対的動きに基づいて圧力を感知する感圧アセンブリをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
