Abstract
Description
実施の形態1における正極活物質は、リチウム複合酸化物と、前記リチウム複合酸化物の表面を被覆し、電子伝導率が106S/m以下である被覆材と、を含む正極活物質である。当該リチウム複合酸化物は、空間群Fm−3mに属する結晶構造を有する第一の相と、空間群Fm−3m以外に属する結晶構造を有する第二の相と、を有する多相混合物であり、XRDパターンにおいて、回折角2θが18°以上20°以下の範囲に存在する最大ピークと、回折角2θが43°以上46°以下の範囲に存在する最大ピークとの、積分強度比I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°)が、0.05≦I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°)≦0.90、を満たす。
ここで、Aは、Mn、Co、Ni、Fe、Cu、Nb、Mo、Ti、Al、Cr、Zr、Zn、Na、K、Ca、Mg、Pt、Au、B、P、Eu、Sm、Ce、及びHからなる群より選択される一種または二種以上の元素であってもよい。

0.5≦b≦4、
1≦c≦4、
を満たしてもよい。
ここで、Meは、Mn、Co、Ni、Fe、Cu、V、Nb、Mo、Ti、Cr、Zr、Zn、Na、K、Ca、Mg、Pt、Au、Ag、Ru、W、B、Si、P、Alからなる群より選択される一種または二種以上の元素であってもよい。

0.6≦y≦0.95、
1.2≦α≦2、
0≦β≦0.8、
を満たしてもよい。
1.1≦x≦1.25、
0.75≦y≦0.8、
を満たしてもよい。
1.33≦α≦1.9、
0.1≦β≦0.67、

1.33≦α≦1.67、
0.33≦β≦0.67、
を満たしてもよい。
以下に、実施の形態1の正極活物質に含まれるリチウム複合酸化物の製造方法の一例が、説明される。
以下、実施の形態2が説明される。なお、上述の実施の形態1と重複する説明は、適宜、省略される。
[正極活物質の作製]
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とを、Li/Mn/O/F=1.2/0.8/1.33/0.67のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
次に、70質量部の上述の正極活物質と、20質量部の導電剤と、10質量部のポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)と、適量の2−メチルピロリドン(NMP)とを、混合した。これにより、正極合剤スラリーを得た。
上述の実施例1から、Al2O3の被膜の厚さを変えた。
上述の実施例1から、添加する被覆材を、それぞれ変えた。
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とLiCoO2とを、Li/Mn/Co/O/F=1.2/0.4/0.4/1.9/0.1のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
上述の実施例7から、Al2O3の被膜の厚さ、または、添加する被覆材を、変えた。
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とLiCoO2とLiNiO2とを、Li/Mn/Co/Ni/O/F=1.2/0.54/0.13/0.13/1.9/0.1のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
上述の実施例13から、Al2O3の被膜の厚さ、または、添加する被覆材を、変えた。
上述の実施例1〜18と同様にして、比較例1〜3のリチウム複合酸化物を得た。
正極に対する電流密度を0.5mA/cm2に設定し、4.9Vの電圧に達するまで、実施例1〜18および比較例1〜3の電池を充電した。
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とを、Li/Mn/O/F=1.2/0.8/1.33/0.67のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とLiCoO2とを、Li/Mn/Co/O/F=1.2/0.4/0.4/1.9/0.1のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
LiFとLi2MnO3とLiMnO2とLiCoO2とLiNiO2とを、Li/Mn/Co/Ni/O/F=1.2/0.54/0.13/0.13/1.9/0.1のモル比となるようにそれぞれ秤量した。
上述の参考例1から、原料およびLi/Me/O/Fの混合比率を、それぞれ変えた。
上述の参考例3と同様にして、Li1.2Mn0.54Co0.13Ni0.13O2で表される組成を有する正極活物質を得た。
公知の手法を用いて、LiCoO2(コバルト酸リチウム)で表される組成を有する正極活物質を得た。
上述の参考例1と同様にして、Li1.2Mn0.8O1.67F0.33で表される組成を有する正極活物質を得た。
上述の参考例1と同様にして、Li1.2Mn0.8O1.67F0.33で表される組成を有する正極活物質を得た。
正極に対する電流密度を0.5mA/cm2に設定し、4.9Vの電圧に達するまで、参考例1の電池を充電した。

Claims (23)
- リチウム複合酸化物と、
前記リチウム複合酸化物の表面を被覆し、106S/m以下の電子伝導率を有する被覆材と、を含み、
前記リチウム複合酸化物は、空間群Fm−3mに属する結晶構造を有する第一の相と、空間群Fm−3m以外に属する結晶構造を有する第二の相と、を含む多相混合物であり、
前記リチウム複合酸化物のXRDパターンにおいて、回折角2θが43°以上46°以下の範囲に存在する第二の最大ピークに対する、回折角2θが18°以上20°以下の範囲に存在する第一の最大ピークの積分強度比I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°)が、0.05≦I(18°-20°)/I(43°-46°)≦0.90、を満たす、正極活物質。 - 前記被覆材は、無機材料である、
請求項1に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム複合酸化物に対する前記被覆材の質量比が、0.2以下である、
請求項1または2に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム複合酸化物に対する前記被覆材の質量比が、0.01以上、かつ、0.1以下である、
請求項3に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記被覆材の厚みは、0.1nm以上、かつ、2.0nm以下である、
請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記被覆材は、前記リチウム複合酸化物の前記表面の少なくとも一部と、固溶体を形成している、
請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記被覆材は、酸化物である、
請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記酸化物は、組成式LiaAbOc(ここで、Aは、Mn、Co、Ni、Fe、Cu、Nb、Mo、Ti、Al、Cr、Zr、Zn、Na、K、Ca、Mg、Pt、Au、B、P、Eu、Sm、Ce、及びHからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、0≦a≦3、 0.5≦b≦4、かつ、1≦c≦4)で表される、
請求項7に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記酸化物は、Al2O3、ZrO2、ZnO、TiO2、及びSiO2からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である、
請求項8に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記第二の相の前記結晶構造は、空間群Fd−3m、R−3m、及びC2/mからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種に属する、
請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記第二の相の前記結晶構造は、空間群Fd−3mに属する、

請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム複合酸化物の平均組成は、組成式LixMeyOαQβ(ここで、前記Meは、Mn、Co、Ni、Fe、Cu、V、Nb、Mo、Ti、Cr、Zr、Zn、Na、K、Ca、Mg、Pt、Au、Ag、Ru、W、B、Si、P、及びAlからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、前記Qは、F、Cl、N、及びSからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であり、1.05≦x≦1.4、0.6≦y≦0.95、1.2
≦α≦2、かつ、0≦β≦0.8)で表される、
