Electronic components are usually mounted on a shield printed wiring board to which such an electromagnetic wave shielding film is attached.
When mounting an electronic component on a shield printed wiring board, for example, solder is used.
When mounting an electronic component on a printed wiring board with solder, the solder is heated and melted once, but at that time, the flux etc. contained in the solder scatters and adheres to the surface of the electromagnetic wave shielding film Sometimes.
Therefore, after the completion of the mounting of the electronic components, the shield printed wiring board is subjected to ultrasonic cleaning in order to remove the deposits on the surface of the electromagnetic wave shielding film.
When the shielded printed wiring board is subjected to ultrasonic cleaning, the surface of the insulating layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film may swell to form a convex portion.
In particular, as shown in FIG. 14, the frequency of occurrence of the convex portion in the depression of the insulating layer above the exposed portion of the ground circuit of the cover lay of the printed wiring board was high.
FIG. 14 is a photograph showing how projections are formed in the insulating layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film in the conventional shielded printed wiring board subjected to ultrasonic cleaning.

The conditions for the ultrasonic cleaning are not particularly limited, but it is desirable to use an alkaline cleaner as the cleaning and to perform the cleaning with an ultrasonic wave having a frequency of 20 to 50 kHz and 100 to 500 W. Further, as the cleaning solution, a water-based neutral detergent, a water-based alkaline detergent, a solvent-based detergent or the like can be used.

In the case of using a conventional electromagnetic wave shielding film without using the electromagnetic
This is thought to be caused by peeling off a part of the bonding surface of the ground circuit of the printed wiring board and the shield layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film during ultrasonic cleaning, resulting in the electromagnetic wave shielding film floating. Be

(5) Evaluation of Swelling The test model substrate to which the electromagnetic wave shielding film after ultrasonic cleaning (4) was attached was visually confirmed, and the swelling was evaluated according to the following criteria. The evaluation results are shown in Tables 1 and 2.
Excellent: In the depression of the insulating layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film formed above the opening of the cover lay of the test model substrate, less than 10 protrusions are observed.
Good: In the depression of the insulating layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film formed above the opening of the cover lay of the test model substrate, 10 or more and less than 20 projections are observed.
Poor: In the depression of the insulating layer of the electromagnetic wave shielding film formed above the opening of the cover lay of the test model substrate, 20 or more convex portions are observed.
