Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle front structure.
Patent Document 1 below discloses a vehicle front structure. In this vehicle front structure, a cowl panel, a suspension tower, and a connection bracket that connects the cowl panel and the suspension tower are provided. The connection bracket is formed in a substantially rectangular shape with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle being the longitudinal direction, one end in the longitudinal direction is joined to the vehicle rear side of the top wall portion of the suspension tower, and the other end in the longitudinal direction is the cowl. It is joined to the panel. Accordingly, the cowl panel supports the load acting on the top wall portion of the suspension tower by the input from the suspension, so that the displacement of the top wall portion in the suspension tower is suppressed.
However, in the configuration disclosed in Patent Document 1, since the load acting on the top wall portion of the suspension tower is transmitted to the cowl panel by the connection bracket, the input from the suspension attached to the top wall portion of the suspension tower is the cowl. It is not transmitted to the steering wheel attached to the instrument panel reinforcement provided on the vehicle rear side of the panel. For this reason, it may be difficult to obtain road surface information and driving operation feedback that can be recognized by an input from the suspension by the driver holding the steering wheel. That is, there is a possibility that the steering feeling during driving cannot be improved. Therefore, the above prior art has room for improvement in this respect.
In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to obtain a vehicle front structure that can improve the steering feeling during vehicle operation.
The vehicle front structure according to the invention described in claim 1 extends substantially along the vehicle width direction, and is provided on the instrument panel reinforcement supporting the steering column, on the vehicle front side of the instrument panel reinforcement, A pair of left and right suspensions having a cowl panel extending in the vehicle width direction along the lower edge of the windshield glass, and a top wall portion provided on the vehicle front side of the cowl panel to which an upper portion of the suspension is attached A tower, a connecting member that connects the pair of left and right suspension towers in the vehicle width direction, and both ends of the instrument panel reinforcement in the vehicle width direction are connected to the front pillar inner panel, and the front end is connected to the cowl panel. A pair of left and right side reinforcing members joined together, and an upper end of the cowl panel And a first reinforcing member that connects the front end of one of the side reinforcing members and the front end of the other side reinforcing member in the vehicle width direction, the top wall of the suspension tower, and the cowl And a second reinforcing member that connects the vicinity of the front end portion of the side reinforcing member in the panel substantially in the vehicle front-rear direction.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, an instrument panel reinforcement (hereinafter referred to as “instrument panel R / F”) that extends substantially along the vehicle width direction and supports the steering column, and a vehicle with the instrument panel R / F. A cowl panel that is provided on the front side and extends in the vehicle width direction along the lower edge of the windshield glass, and a top wall portion that is provided on the vehicle front side of the cowl panel and on which the upper part of the suspension is attached. The pair of left and right suspension towers are connected in the vehicle width direction by a connecting member.
Here, both ends of the instrument panel R / F in the vehicle width direction are respectively joined to the front pillar inner panel by a pair of left and right side reinforcing members. The side reinforcing member has a front end joined to the cowl panel. Moreover, the 1st reinforcement member is joined to the upper end part of the cowl panel, This 1st reinforcement member has connected the front-end parts of a pair of left and right side surface reinforcement members in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, the top wall portion of the suspension tower and the vicinity of the front end portion of the side reinforcing member in the cowl panel are connected in the vehicle longitudinal direction by the second reinforcing member. That is, a pair of left and right suspension towers, a coupling member, a cowl panel having a first reinforcing member, and a second reinforcing member are annularly coupled in a vehicle plan view, and the cowl panel having the first reinforcing member and side reinforcement The member and the instrument panel R / F are annularly coupled in a vehicle plan view. Therefore, a torsional rigidity between the suspension tower and the instrument panel R / F can be obtained by forming a substantially sun-shaped (substantially B-shaped) annular structure between the suspension tower and the instrument panel R / F in a plan view of the vehicle. improves. As a result, the input from the suspension is easily transmitted to the steering column supported by the instrument panel R / F, so that the driver can more easily recognize the input from the suspension with the steering wheel.
The vehicle front structure according to the first aspect of the present invention has an excellent effect that the steering feeling during driving of the vehicle can be improved.

The side reinforcing main body 58 and the front end 60 of the side reinforcing member 54 are joined to the cowl panel 38.
A first reinforcing member 62 is joined to the upper end portion of the cowl panel 38. The first reinforcing member 62 is formed of a substantially plate member having a substantially vehicle vertical direction as a plate thickness direction and extending in the vehicle width direction along the cowl panel 38, and an opening of the cowl panel 38 is formed from above the vehicle. It is joined to the upper end of the cowl panel 38 so as to close it. Both ends of the first reinforcing member 62 in the vehicle width direction are joined to the front end 60 of the pair of left and right side reinforcing members 54, respectively.
(Action / Effect)
Next, the operation and effect of this embodiment will be described.
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the instrument panel R / F 40 that extends substantially along the vehicle width direction, supports the steering column 48, and is provided on the vehicle front side of the instrument panel R / F 40. The left and right sides include a cowl panel 38 extending in the vehicle width direction along the lower edge of the front windshield glass, and a spring plate 26 provided on the vehicle front side of the cowl panel 38 to which the upper part of the suspension is attached. And a pair of suspension towers 22. The pair of left and right suspension towers 22 are connected to each other in the vehicle width direction by a connecting member 32.
Here, both ends of the instrument panel R / F 40 in the vehicle width direction are respectively joined to the front pillar inner lower panel 20 by a pair of left and right side reinforcing members 54. The side reinforcing member 54 has a front end portion 60 joined to the cowl panel 38. A first reinforcing member 62 is joined to the upper end portion of the cowl panel 38. The first reinforcing member 62 connects the front end portions 60 of the pair of left and right side reinforcing members 54 in the vehicle width direction. Yes. Further, the spring plate 26 of the suspension tower 22 and the vicinity of the front end portion 60 of the side reinforcing member 54 in the cowl panel 38 are connected to each other in the vehicle longitudinal direction by a second reinforcing member 64. That is, the pair of left and right suspension towers 22, the coupling member 32, the cowl panel 38 having the first reinforcing member 62, and the second reinforcing member 64 are annularly coupled in a vehicle plan view as shown in FIG. The cowl panel 38 having the first reinforcing member 62, the side reinforcing member 54, and the instrument panel R / F 40 are connected in an annular shape in a vehicle plan view. Therefore, a torsion of the vehicle body between the suspension tower 22 and the instrument panel R / F 40 is realized by forming a substantially sun-shaped (substantially B-shaped) annular structure between the suspension tower 22 and the instrument panel R / F 40 in a plan view of the vehicle. Stiffness is improved. As a result, the input from the suspension is easily transmitted to the steering column 48 supported by the instrument panel R / F 40, so that the driver can more easily recognize the input from the suspension at the steering wheel 52. Thereby, the steering feeling at the time of vehicle driving can be improved.
Further, both end portions in the vehicle width direction of the connecting member 32 and the front end portion 66 of the second reinforcing member 64 are joined in the vicinity of the support hole 30 in the spring plate 26. That is, since both ends of the connecting member 32 in the vehicle width direction and the front end 66 of the second reinforcing member 64 are attached in the vicinity of the load input point from the suspension in the spring plate 26, the load from the suspension is further increased. Can be easily transmitted to the steering wheel 52, so that the steering feeling during driving of the vehicle can be further improved.
In the present embodiment, the connecting member 32 is formed in a substantially prismatic shape whose longitudinal direction is the vehicle width direction, and is configured to connect the pair of left and right suspension towers 22 in the vehicle width direction. As shown in FIG. 3, one end 70 in the longitudinal direction is joined to the spring plate 26 of the suspension tower 22, and the other end 72 in the longitudinal direction is joined to the center of the cowl panel 38 in the vehicle width direction. It is good also as a structure which provided the connected member 74 made to left and right.
The embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but the present invention is not limited to the above, and various modifications other than those described above can be implemented without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
