Abstract
【解決手段】1次パッチポンプを1次ユーザインタフェースとペアにする。ユーザ指示が1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたかどうか判定するために、1次パッチポンプが1次ユーザインタフェースと通信する。ユーザ指示が1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたと判定された場合に、ユーザ指示に従って機械命令を1次ユーザインタフェースから1次パッチポンプに送る。機械命令に従って第1のマイクロコントローラを使用してボーラス投与または基礎レートを開始する。

Claims (29)
- 1次パッチポンプに通信可能に結合可能な1次ユーザインタフェースを使用するオンボディ流体送達の方法であって、第1の流体を収容するように適合された第1のリザーバと、第1のカニューレと、前記第1のカニューレを通して前記第1のリザーバからの前記第1の流体を注入するように適合された第1のポンプと、前記第1のポンプの動作を制御するように適合された第1のマイクロコントローラとを、前記1次パッチポンプが備えている、方法において、
前記1次パッチポンプを前記1次ユーザインタフェースとペアにするステップと、
ユーザ指示が前記1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたかどうか判定するために、前記1次パッチポンプが前記1次ユーザインタフェースと通信するステップと、
ユーザ指示が前記1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたと判定された場合に、前記ユーザ指示に従って機械命令を前記1次ユーザインタフェースから前記1次パッチポンプに送るステップと、
前記機械命令に従って前記第1のマイクロコントローラを使用してボーラス投与または基礎レートを開始するステップと
を含むことを特徴とするオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - エラー条件に関して前記1次パッチポンプによってチェックするステップと、
エラー条件が前記1次パッチポンプによって検出された場合に、警告メカニズムを介してユーザに警告し、関連データを前記1次パッチポンプから前記1次ユーザインタフェースに転送するステップと、
エラー条件が前記1次パッチポンプによって検出されない場合に、関連データを前記1次パッチポンプから前記1次ユーザインタフェースに転送し、前記1次パッチポンプが前記1次ユーザインタフェースと通信する前記ステップに戻るステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - エラー条件は、カニューレ閉塞、低リザーバ、リザーバ終了、バッテリ消耗、バッテリ故障、カニューレ配置、空気混入、漏出、のうちの少なくとも1つを示す条件を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 関連データは、注入プロファイル更新、注入コマンド、ボーラス投与、ボーラス投与要件、基礎レート、基礎レート調整、送達の確認、エラー状態または条件、調整の確認、のうちの少なくとも1つを示すデータを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースは前記1次ユーザインタフェースと前記1次パッチポンプとを再同期させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースはリアルタイムクロックを使用して前記1次ユーザインタフェースと前記1次パッチポンプとを再同期させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次パッチポンプを前記1次ユーザインタフェースとペアにするステップは、第1の一意の識別子を前記1次ユーザインタフェースに割り当て、第2の一意の識別子を前記1次パッチポンプに割り当てることを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 所定の1次パッチポンプスニフ時間まで1次パッチポンプスニフモードに入って、エラー条件に関してチェックするステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次パッチポンプは皮膚に取付け可能であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記第1の流体はインスリンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースによって1次ユーザインタフェーススリープモードに入るステップと、
前記1次パッチポンプによって1次パッチポンプスリープモードに入るステップと、
前記1次ユーザインタフェースによって所定の1次ユーザインタフェースウェイク時間間隔で1次ユーザインタフェースウェイクモードに入るステップと、
前記1次パッチポンプによって所定の1次パッチポンプウェイク時間間隔で1次パッチポンプウェイクモードに入るステップと
をさらに含み、
前記1次ユーザインタフェーススリープモードに関連する電力レベルは、1次ユーザインタフェースウェイクモードに関連する電力レベルよりも低く、
前記1次パッチポンプスリープモードに関連する電力レベルは、1次パッチポンプウェイクモードに関連する電力レベルよりも低いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - 前記1次パッチポンプが前記1次ユーザインタフェースを検出した場合、前記1次パッチポンプによって1次パッチポンプ向上応答時間モードに入り、前記1次ユーザインタフェースと通信して、ユーザ指示が前記1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたかどうか判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記1次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースが基礎レートの調整またはボーラス送達の設定に携わる場合、前記調整または設定の後、前記1次ユーザインタフェースのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記1次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次パッチポンプと前記1次ユーザインタフェースのうちの少なくとも一方に通信可能に結合可能な2次パッチポンプをさらに使用し、
前記2次パッチポンプは、第2の流体を収容するように適合された第2のリザーバと、第2のカニューレと、前記第2のカニューレを通して前記第2のリザーバからの前記第2の流体を注入するように適合された第2のポンプと、前記第2のポンプの動作を制御するように適合された第2のマイクロコントローラとを備え、
前記方法は、さらに
前記2次パッチポンプを前記1次ユーザインタフェースとペアにするステップと、
エラーフラグに関してチェックするステップと、
エラーフラグが検出されない場合に、ユーザ指示が前記1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたかどうか判定するために、前記1次パッチポンプが前記1次ユーザインタフェースと通信するステップと、
ユーザ指示が前記1次ユーザインタフェースにおいて受け取られたと判定された場合に、
前記ユーザ指示に従って機械命令を前記1次ユーザインタフェースから前記1次パッチポンプに送るステップと、
前記機械命令に従って前記第1のマイクロコントローラを使用してボーラス投与または基礎レートを開始するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - エラー条件に関してチェックするステップと、
エラー条件が検出された場合にエラーフラグをセットするステップと、
エラー条件が検出されない場合に関連データを前記1次パッチポンプから前記1次ユーザインタフェースおよび前記2次パッチポンプに転送するステップと、
エラーフラグに関してチェックする前記ステップに戻るステップと
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - エラー条件は、カニューレ閉塞、低リザーバ、リザーバ終了、バッテリ消耗、バッテリ故障、カニューレ配置、空気混入、漏出、のうちの少なくとも1つを示す条件を含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 関連データは、注入プロファイル更新、注入コマンド、ボーラス投与、ボーラス投与要件、基礎レート、基礎レート調整、送達の確認、エラー状態または条件、調整の確認、のうちの少なくとも1つを示すデータを含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 所定の1次パッチポンプスニフ時間まで1次パッチポンプスニフモードに入って、エラーフラグに関してチェックするステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- エラーフラグが検出された場合に前記2次パッチポンプを介して注入を継続するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- エラーフラグが検出された場合に、前記1次ユーザインタフェースが前記1次パッチポンプに通信可能に結合されているかどうか判定するステップと、
前記1次ユーザインタフェースが前記1次パッチポンプに通信可能に結合されていないと判定された場合に、関連データを前記1次パッチポンプから前記2次パッチポンプに転送し、前記2次パッチポンプを介して注入を継続するステップと、
前記1次ユーザインタフェースが前記1次パッチポンプに通信可能に結合されていると判定された場合に、
関連データを前記1次パッチポンプから前記2次パッチポンプおよび前記1次ユーザインタフェースに転送し、前記2次パッチポンプを前記1次パッチポンプとして設定するステップと、
前記1次パッチポンプが前記1次ユーザインタフェースと通信する前記ステップに戻るステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - プリエンプティブなパッチポンプを前記2次パッチポンプとして設定するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項21に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次パッチポンプは皮膚に取付け可能であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースは、前記1次ユーザインタフェースと、前記1次パッチポンプおよび前記2次パッチポンプのうちの少なくとも一方と、を再同期させることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記2次パッチポンプを前記1次ユーザインタフェースとペアにするステップは、第3の一意の識別子を前記2次パッチポンプに割り当てるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記第2の流体はインスリンを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースによって1次ユーザインタフェーススリープモードに入るステップと、
前記1次パッチポンプによって1次パッチポンプスリープモードに入るステップと、
前記2次パッチポンプによって2次パッチポンプスリープモードに入るステップと、
前記1次ユーザインタフェースによって所定の1次ユーザインタフェースウェイク時間間隔で1次ユーザインタフェースウェイクモードに入るステップと、
前記1次パッチポンプによって所定の1次パッチポンプウェイク時間間隔で1次パッチポンプウェイクモードに入るステップと、
前記2次パッチポンプによって所定の2次パッチポンプウェイク時間間隔で2次パッチポンプウェイクモードに入るステップと
をさらに含み、
前記1次ユーザインタフェーススリープモードに関連する電力レベルは、1次ユーザインタフェースウェイクモードに関連する電力レベルよりも低く、
前記1次パッチポンプスリープモードに関連する電力レベルは、1次パッチポンプウェイクモードに関連する電力レベルよりも低く、
前記2次パッチポンプスリープモードに関連する電力レベルは、2次パッチポンプウェイクモードに関連する電力レベルよりも低いことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。 - 前記1次ユーザインタフェースが基礎レートの調整またはボーラス送達の設定に携わる場合、前記調整または設定の後、前記1次ユーザインタフェースのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記1次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期され、かつ、前記2次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期されることを特徴とする請求項27に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
- 前記1次ユーザインタフェースのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記1次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期され、かつ、前記2次パッチポンプのスリープ周期、ウェイク周期、スニフ周期のうちの少なくとも1つと同期されることを特徴とする請求項27に記載のオンボディ流体送達の方法。
