Abstract
Description
本開示の原理をさらに例証するため、チタン酸アルミニウム(「AT」)を含む幾つかのチタネート化合物粉末を、上記開示される方法によって調製した。表1は、実施例の実施に用いられた原材料の重量部を列挙している。
同一組成を有する幾つかの純粋なAT粉末を、以下に開示される方法によって調製し、異なる加熱速度で焼成した。
バッチ1の組成を有する幾つかのAT/MT2粉末を、実施例1の方法で調製し、異なる加熱速度で焼成した。
チタネート化合物粉末を調製する方法において、
第1の金属又は金属酸化物の供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第1の無機化合物、チタニア供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第2の無機化合物、及び少なくとも1つの結合剤を混合して、混合物を形成する工程;
前記混合物を、一定温度で、一定時間、焼成して、複数のチタネート化合物粒を含む多結晶性材料を形成する工程であって、該多結晶性材料が複数の微小亀裂をさらに含む、工程;及び
前記多結晶性材料を前記微小亀裂の少なくとも一部に沿って破壊して、制御された粒径及び/又は粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含むチタネート化合物粉末を提供する工程
を含む、方法。

前記焼成時間が、約1時間〜約25時間の範囲であることを特徴とする、実施形態8に記載の方法。
前記焼成温度が、約1200℃〜約1800℃の範囲であることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
加熱速度が、少なくとも約1℃/分であることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記チタネート化合物粒子が、約5μm〜約60μmの範囲のd50によって特徴付けられる、制御された粒径分布を有することを特徴とする、実施形態1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記チタネート化合物粒子が、約1μm〜約100μmの範囲の平均粒径を有することを特徴とする、実施形態1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記多結晶性材料を前記微小亀裂の少なくとも一部に沿って破壊する工程が、前記多結晶性材料を粉砕する工程を含むことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記多結晶性材料が自己崩壊することを特徴とする、実施形態14に記載の方法。
セラミック物品を調製する方法において、
第1の金属又は金属酸化物の供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第1の無機化合物、チタニア供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第2の無機化合物、及び少なくとも1つの結合剤を混合して、混合物を形成する工程;
前記混合物を、一定温度で、一定時間、焼成して、複数のチタネート化合物粒を含む多結晶性材料を形成する工程であって、該多結晶性材料が複数の微小亀裂をさらに含む、工程;
前記多結晶性材料を前記微小亀裂の少なくとも一部に沿って破壊して、制御された粒径及び/又は粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含むチタネート化合物粉末を提供する工程;及び
制御された粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含む前記チタネート化合物粉末を含む、セラミックバッチ組成物を調製する工程
を含む、方法。
前記少なくとも1つの第1の無機化合物がアルミナの供給源から選択されることを特徴とする、実施形態16に記載の方法。
前記セラミックバッチ組成物を成形して、未焼成のセラミック体を調製する工程をさらに含む、実施形態16又は17に記載の方法。
前記未焼成のセラミック体を焼成して、セラミック物品を調製する工程をさらに含む、実施形態16〜18のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記セラミック物品が、約室温〜約800℃の範囲にわたり、約0/℃〜約25×10−7/℃の範囲の熱膨張係数を含むことを特徴とする、実施形態19に記載の方法。
前記セラミックバッチ組成物を加工して、セラミック物品に施用するためのセラミックプラグ又はセラミックスキンを提供する工程をさらに含む、実施形態16〜20のいずれかに記載の方法。
チタン酸アルミニウム、二チタン酸マグネシウム、チタン酸鉄、及びそれらの組合せから選択される化合物を含む、制御された粒径分布を有する粒子を含むセラミックバッチ組成物。
シリカ成分をさらに含むことを特徴とする、実施形態22に記載のセラミックバッチ組成物。
Claims (5)
- チタネート化合物粉末を調製する方法において、
第1の金属又は金属酸化物の供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第1の無機化合物、チタニア供給源から選択される少なくとも1つの第2の無機化合物、及び少なくとも1つの結合剤を混合して、混合物を形成する工程;
前記混合物を、一定温度で、一定時間、焼成して、複数のチタネート化合物粒を含む多結晶性材料を形成する工程であって、該多結晶性材料が複数の微小亀裂をさらに含む、工程;及び
前記多結晶性材料を前記微小亀裂の少なくとも一部に沿って破壊して、制御された粒径及び/又は粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含むチタネート化合物粉末を提供する工程
を含む、方法。 - 前記混合物が、コロイド状シリカをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記多結晶性材料を前記微小亀裂の少なくとも一部に沿って破壊する工程が、前記多結晶性材料を粉砕する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 制御された粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含む前記チタネート化合物粉末を含む、セラミックバッチ組成物を調製する工程;
前記セラミックバッチ組成物を成形して、未焼成のセラミック体を調製する工程;及び
前記未焼成のセラミック体を焼成して、セラミック物品を調製する工程であって、該セラミック物品が、約室温〜約800℃の範囲にわたり、約0/℃〜約25×10−7/℃の範囲の熱膨張係数を含む、工程
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 制御された粒径分布を有するチタネート化合物粒子を含む前記チタネート化合物粉末を含む、セラミックバッチ組成物を調製する工程;及び
前記セラミックバッチ組成物を加工して、セラミック物品に施用するためのセラミックプラグ又はセラミックスキンを提供する工程
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
