Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle disc brake device.
Patent Document 1 discloses a conventional example of a vehicle disc brake device. That is, a device is disclosed that reduces the rotational speed of each wheel by pressing a pair of brake pads against both the inside and outside surfaces of each disk rotor that rotates together with each wheel.
Each disc brake device provided on each wheel includes a caliper supported by a suspension component so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to the rotation axis of each wheel.
Each disc brake device further includes a hydraulic cylinder that is an actuator for moving the first brake pad, the second brake pad, and the second brake pad. The first brake pad is located outside the disc rotor and is fixed to the caliper. The hydraulic cylinder is located inside the disc rotor. The hydraulic cylinder is fixed to the caliper and its axis is parallel to the rotation axis, a piston that is partially located in the cylinder and slidable with respect to the cylinder, and fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and the piston And an O-ring made of rubber that is in liquid-tight contact with the outer peripheral surface. And the 2nd brake pad located in the vehicle inner side of a disk rotor is being fixed to the front-end | tip part of a piston.
When the driver of the vehicle depresses the brake pedal, the brake booster and the master cylinder are actuated to increase the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic cylinder of the brake device. Then, the piston of the hydraulic cylinder moves to the disc rotor side while elastically deforming the O-ring, so that the second brake pad fixed to the piston comes into pressure contact with the inner surface of the disc rotor.
The disk rotor cannot move relative to the corresponding suspension in the direction of the rotation axis of each wheel. Therefore, when the second brake pad is in pressure contact with the disc rotor, the caliper slides relative to the suspension toward the vehicle interior due to the reaction force received by the second brake pad from the disc rotor. Then, the first brake pad fixed to the caliper comes into pressure contact with the outer surface of the disc rotor.
Thus, when the brake pedal is depressed, the first brake pad and the second brake pad of each disc brake device sandwich the disc rotor from the inside of the vehicle and the outside of the vehicle.
Then, a braking force (friction resistance force) is applied from the first brake pad and the second brake pad to the disc rotor, so that the rotational speed of the disc rotor is reduced. As a result, the rotational speed of each wheel decreases, so that the vehicle speed of the vehicle decreases compared to before the brake pedal is depressed.
The caliper of the disc brake device of Patent Document 1 includes a brake pad fixing portion, an actuator support portion, and one connection portion (bridge portion) that connects the brake pad fixing portion and the actuator support portion. The brake pad fixing portion is located on the vehicle outer side than the disc rotor and the first brake pad is fixed. The actuator support portion is located on the vehicle inner side than the disk rotor, and the cylinder is fixed. The connecting portion is located immediately above the disc rotor and connects the upper ends of the brake pad fixing portion and the actuator support portion. Furthermore, the connection part is located above the first brake pad.
When the first brake pad and the second brake pad are pressed against both sides of the disc rotor by the power of the hydraulic cylinder, the first brake pad receives a reaction force from the outer surface of the disc rotor. Then, a bending moment is generated in the brake pad fixing portion by this reaction force. The magnitude of this bending moment gradually increases from the front end side of the brake pad fixing portion toward the connecting portion side. That is, the bending moment is maximized at the connection portion between the brake pad fixing portion and the connection portion.
Therefore, it is necessary to increase the rigidity of the connection portion between the brake pad fixing portion and the connection portion.
However, the brake pad fixing portion is cantilevered by the connecting portion. Therefore, unless the thickness of the brake pad fixing part and the connection part is increased, the rigidity of the connection part between the brake pad fixing part and the connection part cannot be increased.
Therefore, conventionally, a caliper is manufactured by casting, and the thickness of the brake pad fixing portion and the connecting portion is increased. However, the caliper manufactured in this way has a large weight and a high manufacturing cost.
The present invention has been made to address the above-described problems. That is, one of the objects of the present invention is to provide a vehicle disc brake device that can increase the rigidity of the connection portion between the brake pad fixing portion and the connection portion without increasing the thickness of the caliper. It is in.
In order to achieve the above object, a vehicle disc brake device according to the present invention provides a suspension for supporting a wheel (15) so as to be rotatable about a predetermined rotation axis (14) in a predetermined direction parallel to the rotation axis. A slidable caliper (30);
A first brake pad (42) opposed to one side of the predetermined direction with respect to one side surface of a disc rotor (16) rotating together with the wheel and fixed to the caliper;
A second brake pad (51) opposed to the other side surface of the disk rotor from the other side in the predetermined direction and supported by the caliper so as to be slidable in the predetermined direction;
The first brake pad is moved together with the caliper to the second brake pad side by moving the second brake pad along the predetermined direction and press-contacting with the other side surface of the disc rotor. An actuator (52) supported by the caliper that is pressed against the one side surface of the disk rotor;
With
The caliper
A brake pad fixing portion (31) which is located on the one side in the predetermined direction with respect to the disk rotor and to which the first brake pad is fixed;
An actuator support (33) located on the other side of the predetermined direction from the disk rotor and supporting the actuator;
A pair of connection portions (32) facing the disc rotor from the front and rear, respectively, and connecting the brake pad fixing portion and the actuator support portion;
Is provided.
The “predetermined direction” includes not only a direction completely parallel to the “rotating axis” but also a substantially parallel direction.
The caliper of the present invention includes a brake pad fixing portion to which the first brake pad is fixed, an actuator supporting portion that supports the actuator, a brake pad fixing portion and an actuator supporting portion that are located in front and rear of the disc rotor, respectively. A pair of connecting portions to be connected. Therefore, when the first brake pad is brought into pressure contact with the disc rotor, a bending moment is generated in the brake pad fixing portion due to a reaction force that the first brake pad receives from the disc rotor. This bending moment becomes large at the connection portion between the brake pad fixing portion and the pair of connection portions.
However, in the vehicle disc brake device according to the present invention, the brake pad fixing portion is supported at both ends by the pair of connection portions. Therefore, the rigidity of the connection portion between the pair of connection portions and the brake pad fixing portion can be increased without increasing the thickness of the brake pad fixing portion and the connection portion. As a result, a highly durable disc brake device can be provided.
A caliper support member (21) fixed to the suspension and slidably supporting the caliper;
The caliper support member and the caliper may be a press-formed product formed by press-forming a steel plate.
Thus, if the caliper support member and the caliper are press-formed products formed by press-molding a steel plate, the caliper support member and the caliper can be thinned. Therefore, these members can be reduced in weight.
Moreover, since it is a press-formed product, the caliper support member and the caliper can be manufactured at low cost.
Moreover, as described above, the brake pad fixing portion of the caliper is supported at both ends by the pair of connection portions. Therefore, even if the caliper has such a structure, it is possible to increase the rigidity of the connection portion between the brake pad fixing portion and the connection portion.
A pad support member (50) that supports the second brake pad and slides in the predetermined direction together with the second brake pad;
A guided portion (50a) including a recess or a through hole is formed on one of the caliper support member and the pad support member,
A guide projection (27) may be provided on the other of the caliper support member and the pad support member so as to be slidable relative to the guided portion in the predetermined direction.
With this configuration, the pad support member can be moved and guided by the caliper support member. Therefore, the braking force can be exerted more reliably from the second brake pad to the disc rotor.
The actuator and the pad support member may be integrated.
If comprised in this way, a caliper (actuator support part), an actuator, and a 2nd brake pad will be integrated.
Therefore, the caliper can move relative to the caliper support member only in a predetermined direction parallel to the rotation axis of the wheel. In other words, the caliper cannot move relative to the caliper support member in a direction different from the predetermined direction.
Therefore, there is almost no possibility that the caliper and the caliper support member are unexpectedly separated in a direction different from the predetermined direction.

As is well known, when the driver steps on the brake pedal with his / her foot, this stepping force is amplified by the brake booster and transmitted to the brake fluid in the master cylinder, increasing the pressure (hydraulic pressure) of the brake fluid in the master cylinder.
As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the

The
In order to attach the
When the
When the
The
As will be described later, when the
Although not shown, a
Further, although not shown,
When the
On the other hand, when the driver depresses the brake pedal and the pressure (hydraulic pressure) of the brake hydraulic fluid in the master cylinder rises, the hydraulic pressure of the
Movement of the
As described above, when the brake pedal is depressed, the
As a result, the rotational speeds of the left and right

Further, when the

Therefore, when the
When the driver removes his / her foot from the brake pedal, the hydraulic pressure (hydraulic pressure) of the brake hydraulic fluid in the master cylinder decreases, so the hydraulic pressure in the
