Abstract
Description
本出願は、2013年1月17日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/753,719号に基づく優先権を主張する。上記米国仮特許出願は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。加えて、2013年11月20日に出願された国際特許出願番号PCT/IB2013/002593に基づく優先権を主張する。上記国際特許出願は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
エンジン効率の維持およびNOxの削減
水噴射を使用し、外部熱交換器回路をバイパスする内部冷却の効果を、上昇させた冷却材温度で検討した。一定の1800rpmで動作するテストエンジンは、冷却材の流れを熱交換器つまりラジエータから離れる方向に向けるバイパス回路で修正した。これは、三方向バイパス弁を使用して行われる。このテストに使用された冷却材は、テスト時に起こるより高いエンジン冷却材温度での沸騰を避けるために、水なしで処方した。表2に、結果の概要を示す。
Claims (9)
- 少なくとも一つの気筒であって、各気筒は、燃焼室と、ピストンと、吸気弁と、排気弁とを有し、前記各気筒の機械的圧縮比が12:1より大きく40:1未満である前記少なくとも一つの気筒と、
各吸気弁と連通する吸気通路と、
各排気弁と連通する排気通路と、
前記燃焼室または前記吸気通路の内部に燃料を噴射する少なくとも1つの燃料噴射器を有する燃料取扱システムであって、1より大きく7.0未満の空気:燃料比(λ)を有する空気‐燃料混合物の空気:燃料比を提供する前記燃料取扱システムと、
前記ピストンの圧縮行程の最終部で前記燃焼室の内部の前記燃料に点火する点火システムと、
前記燃焼室の内部へ所定量の水を導入する水噴射器と、前記水噴射器と流体連通する貯水タンクとを含む水噴射システムであって、前記水噴射器は、前記貯水タンクに貯蔵された制御された量の液体の水を前記燃焼室または前記吸気通路の内部に噴射するように配置されている前記水噴射システムと、
ラジエータと冷却材とを含む外部冷却システムであって、約91℃と約200℃の間の冷却材温度を維持するように構成されている前記外部冷却システムとを備えることを特徴とする内燃エンジン。 - 排気ガスを排気ポートからエンジン吸入口へ再循環させる排気ガス再循環(EGR)システムと、
再循環排気ガスを、EGR通路内に噴射される所定量の噴霧状水と直接接触させることにより冷却するEGR冷却システムとをさらに含む請求項1に記載の内燃エンジン。 - 前記水の量は、前記噴射される燃料の量に対して約5%と約100%の間の範囲にある請求項1に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記水の量は、前記噴射される燃料の量に対して約25%と約100%の間の範囲にある請求項1に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記内燃エンジンは、動作中、約130℃の温度に維持される請求項1に記載の前記内燃エンジン。
- 少なくとも一つの気筒であって、各気筒は、燃焼室と、ピストンと、吸気弁と、排気弁とを有する前記少なくとも一つの気筒と、
各吸気弁と連通する吸気通路と、
各排気弁と連通する排気通路と、
前記燃焼室または前記吸気通路の内部に燃料を噴射する少なくとも1つの燃料噴射器を備えた燃料取扱システムと、
前記ピストンの圧縮行程の最終部で前記燃焼室の内部の前記燃料に点火する点火システムと、
前記燃焼室の内部へ所定量の水を導入する水噴射器と、前記水噴射器と流体連通する貯水タンクとを含む水噴射システムであって、前記水噴射器は、前記貯水タンクに貯蔵された制御された量の液体の水を前記燃焼室または前記吸気通路内に噴射するように配置されている前記水噴射システムと、
ラジエータと冷却材とを含む外部冷却システムであって、約91℃と約200℃の間の冷却材温度を維持するように構成されている前記外部冷却システムとを備えることを特徴とする内燃エンジン。 - 前記水の量は、前記噴射される燃料の量に対して約5%と約100%の間の範囲にある請求項6に記載の内燃エンジン。
