Abstract
Description
本発明は、重合した汚れを効果的に洗浄する非腐食性組成物に関する。非腐食性組成物は、実質的に同様の洗浄効率を提供しつつ、従来の脱脂組成物より低いpHを有する。多くの実施形態において、非腐食性組成物は、より腐食性でより高アルカリ性の従来の組成物より優れた洗浄効率を提供する。本発明の多くの実施形態において、組成物は濃縮されており、汚れた表面、例えば汚れが重合したゼロトランス脂肪の汚れを含むことがある表面を洗浄するための、ユーザーの仕様によって決定された希釈に適している。一般に、非腐食性組成物は、適切なアルカリ源、界面活性剤、並びに溶媒、及び/又は溶媒系を含む。
本発明の濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、少なくとも一つのアルカリ源を含む。本発明の組成物に用いられる適切なアルカリ源の例としては、アミン、アルカノールアミン、カーボネート、及びシリケートが挙げられる。例えば、アルカリ源としては、ケイ酸ナトリウム、メタケイ酸ナトリウム、オルトケイ酸ナトリウム、リン酸ナトリウム、ポリリン酸ナトリウム、ホウ酸ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、ケイ酸カリウム、メタケイ酸カリウム、オルトケイ酸カリウム、リン酸カリウム、ポリリン酸カリウム、ホウ酸カリウム、炭酸カリウム、ケイ酸リチウム、メタケイ酸リチウム、オルトケイ酸リチウム、リン酸リチウム、ポリリン酸リチウム、ホウ酸リチウム、炭酸リチウム、2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノール、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、トリエタノールアミン、混合イソプロパノールアミン、モルホリン、n,n―ジメチルエタノールアミン、及びそれらの混合物が挙げられる。
本発明の濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、少なくとも一つの界面活性剤を含む。本発明による界面活性剤の乳化特性は、希釈して使用可能な洗浄用製品(使用希釈物)を生ずることができる濃縮物、及び使用希釈物自体の両方に使用することができる。有益にも、本発明によれば、処方物は濃縮物を提供する。これは、多くの場合、濃縮物の処方からいかなる過剰な水をも除去したために増粘剤(例えばポリマー、キサンタンゴム、粘土粒子等)を濃縮物に加えることが困難である結果、RTU処方で脱脂剤組成物を提供する従来技術とは区別される。本発明の特定の機構に限定されないが、本発明は、界面活性剤を濃縮処方物中に乳化する際に更なる水は必要なく、使用溶液への希釈の際に、ロッド状ミセル又は液晶構造を形成することによって増粘が起こるような、本明細書に記載した適切な界面活性剤のゲル曲線を利用する。
本発明の濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、少なくとも一つの溶媒又は溶媒系を含む。本発明の様々な実施形態において、非腐食性組成物は、溶媒又は溶媒系を含む少なくとも一つの洗剤を含んでもよい。溶媒又は溶媒系を使用して、非腐食性脱脂剤組成物の洗浄特性を強化し、並びに所定の組成物の乳化特性を提供することができる。例えば、本発明の溶媒系は、特定の組成物の親水性及び疎水性の構成成分が分離しないように保つことがある。乳化特性は、希釈して使用可能な洗浄用製品(使用溶液)を生じさせることができる濃縮物、及び使用希釈物自体の両方に使用することができる。
本発明の一実施形態によれば、濃縮組成物の使用希釈物は、約1:1〜約1:10の範囲とすることができる。本発明によれば、間の希釈範囲もまた適切である。より好ましくは、濃縮組成物から約1:3〜約1:6の使用希釈物を得る。好ましくは、濃縮組成物の使用希釈物に含まれる水酸化ナトリウム、又は他の苛性アルカリ土類金属水酸化物源は、約1質量%未満である。
本発明の濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、任意に一つ以上の添加剤を含んで、組成物の形態、及び/又は適用方法を変更してもよい。本発明の一実施形態によれば、非腐食性濃縮組成物は、約0.01質量%〜約10質量%の一つ以上の添加剤を含んでもよい。
本発明の非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、汚れた表面を洗浄するための様々な方法において使用してもよい。一実施形態において、本発明は、重合した脂肪の汚れを洗浄する方法である。洗浄方法は一般に、上記に記載した非腐食性脱脂剤組成物を使用する。特定の実施形態において、環境洗浄方法が提供される。他の実施形態において、定置洗浄(CIP)方法が提供される。本発明の更なる実施形態によれば、非腐食性脱脂剤組成物は、腐食性の処方物を使用する必要なく重合した汚れを除去しようとする任意の他の方法、例えば重合した又は架橋した被膜の床からの除去、及び他の仕上げに使用することができる。
CIP洗浄方法を用いて多種多様な処理装置を洗浄することができ、多種多様な処理装置としては、限定されないが、フライヤー、様々な冷凍庫、又は冷蔵系、蒸発器、熱交換器(チューブ―イン―チューブ交換器、ダイレクトスチーム注入、及びプレート―イン―フレーム交換器が挙げられる)、加熱コイル(スチーム、炎、又は熱伝導流体加熱が挙げられる)、再晶析装置、パン晶析装置、噴霧乾燥器、ドラム乾燥機、及びタンクが挙げられる。更に、CIP洗浄方法を用いて環境領域を洗浄することができ、環境領域としては、限定されないが、食品加工装置、及び関連する壁、天井、床、更にダクト作業(外部及び内部)、並びに他の空気を取扱う系を含む全体の領域が挙げられる。
他の実施形態において、環境洗浄方法が提供される。この方法は、環境表面から重合した汚れを除去することに適しており、環境表面としては、限定されないが、壁、床、食器、食器類、ポット及びパン、オーブン及びフライヤーが挙げられる。この方法は一般に、非腐食性脱脂剤組成物を環境表面に接触させることを含む。ある場合において、環境方法は、非腐食性脱脂剤組成物を約40°F(4.4℃)以上、40°F(4.4℃)〜約130°F(54.4℃)の温度まで加熱する工程を含む。他の場合には、環境方法は、周囲又は室温、例えば、約50°F(10℃)〜約100°F(37.8℃)において、表面からの汚れの除去を提供する。他の場合には、方法は、より冷えた温度、例えば約25°F(−3.9℃)〜約50°F(10℃)において、表面からの汚れの除去を提供する。他の場合には、方法は、洗浄すべき施設(例えばフリーザーコイル、及び熱く太い配管のそれぞれ)内に近接して存在することがある、0°F(−17.8℃)〜約200°F(93.3℃)の温度にわたる環境表面へと適用することを必要としてもよい。
重合したトウモロコシ油パネルの調製。2インチのポリウレタンブラシを使用して、3×5インチのステンレススチールパネル上にトウモロコシ油を薄く被覆することによって、トウモロコシ油の汚れを調製した。裸の鋼の縞が確実に残らないようにパネルを被覆して、ブラシの質量のみを使っていかなる過剰な油も除去した。次にパネルをアルミニウムトレイ上に置き、重合した油がもはや粘性でなくなり、明るい琥珀色を示すまで、375°Fのオーブン内で約20分間調理した。約10分間調理した後、油は重合して粘度を増し始め、油から煙が立った。パネルが確実にオーブン内で均一に加熱されるように、パンを回転させた。洗浄/脱脂処方物を用いた試験を行う前に、パネルを終夜冷却した。非腐食性製品についての基準を制限する様々な規則がある。
例1に記載したトウモロコシ油のパネルからの汚れの除去に基づいて、脱脂剤処方物からナトリウムを除いた更なる処方物を調製して分析した。ナトリウムの代わりにモノエタノールアミンを用いた。対流電子レンジ、及び他の用途のための触媒コンバータにおける、改良された性能、及び潜在的残留物の減少を試験した。ベンジルアルコール、モノエタノールアミン、直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネート、及び水の処方物(透明溶液を形成した)を試験した。処方物は、3分以内の接触で、汚れ(12480―35)の完全な除去を達成した。
更なる処方物を分析して、ベンジルアルコールと結びつく又は可溶化するために要する、脱脂剤濃縮物中の直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネートの最小限の量を決定した。処方物の使用溶液のVOCレベルに対する、処方変更の影響を試験した。ベンジルアルコール、モノエタノールアミン、2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノール、直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネート、及び水の処方物を試験し、透明な溶液を得た。
商業的に入手可能な腐食性の脱脂剤(Greasestrip PLUS(7%の水酸化ナトリウム)、Ecolab社、St.Paul、MN)の使用溶液を、非腐食性脱脂剤(Greasecutter NC(4%のモノエタノールアミン)、Ecolab社、St.Paul、MN)と比較した。2つの脱脂剤処方物の各々の3つの滴を、調製したトウモロコシ油のパネルに(例1に記載したように)、ピペットによって分配した。約12分間接触させた後、Greasestrip PLUSで処理したトウモロコシ油の汚れの領域が分解し始めた。15分でパネルをすすいだ。
使用溶液のpHの評価も行った。ベンジルアルコールが使用溶液のpHに及ぼす影響を調査した。直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネート、2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノール、及びモノエタノールアミンと共に、様々な量のベンジルアルコールを含む本発明の処方物を試験した。直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネートが溶液中に中和され及び溶解するまで、処方物を30分間撹拌した。表1に示すように、ベンジルアルコールを溶液に加えて、pHを測定した。
重合した油をアルミニウムから除去する効率に対する影響。本発明の処方物の、アルミニウムの安全性を調査した。トウモロコシ油の汚れを有するアルミニウムトレイ(例1の材料及び方法に従って汚した)に適用する際の、本発明の非腐食性脱脂剤の効率を、Grease Cutter Plus(Ecolab社、St.Paul、MN)と比較した。アルミニウム腐食の徴候として、NaOHとアルミニウムとの反応から水素ガスが直ちに形成し、7分間曝露した後に表面は外観上くすんだが、本発明の非腐食性脱脂剤は腐食の目視できる徴候を示さなかった。
脱脂組成物がアルミニウム表面の腐食に及ぼす影響を評価した。トウモロコシ油の汚れを有するアルミニウムトレイ(例1の材料及び方法に従って汚した)の、グレイスケールでの相対変化(すなわち腐食)を図1に示し、評価した様々な製品例を表2に示す。
例7からの例A〜Dの処方物を利用して、更なる腐食試験を分析した。表4及び5は、脱脂組成物中に浸漬したアルミニウムのサンプルについて、開始及び終了の腐食測定を示す。
例7からの例A〜Dの処方物の殺菌効率を評価して、より低腐食性の例Aの処方物が、有効な殺生物剤として機能することができるか否か評価した。分析の目的は、周囲温度において、例A及び例Dの処方物の、黄色ブドウ球菌(Staphylococcus aureus)(ATCC 6538)及び大腸菌(Escherichia coli)(ATCC 11229)に対する、30秒の曝露時間後の食品接触面の殺菌効率、及び5分の曝露時間後の非―食品接触面の殺菌効率を決定することであった。
Claims (20)
- 重合した汚れを除去する方法であって、
(i)約1質量%〜約50質量%のアルカリ源であって、該アルカリ源の水酸化ナトリウムは約1質量%未満である、アルカリ源と、
(ii)約1質量%〜約80質量%の界面活性剤と、
(iii)約1質量%〜約90質量%の溶媒系と、
を含み、使用溶液のpHが約11.5未満となる非腐食性組成物を、汚れた表面に適用する工程を含む、方法。 - 洗浄すべき前記表面が重合した脂肪の汚れで汚れており、前記表面が食品加工装置、及び環境表面、例えば食品調製の間に使用する壁、床、及び種々の装置からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 前記非腐食性組成物の適用が、個人用保護具の使用を必要としない、請求項2に記載した方法。
- 前記組成物を、重合した脂肪の汚れに実質的に浸透させるために、洗浄すべき汚れた表面に、重合のレベルに応じて約1秒〜約24時間適用する、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 前記組成物を、使用溶液を形成するために乳化する、又は約11.5未満のpHを有する使用溶液へと希釈する、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 前記アルカリ源が、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、2―アミノ―2―メチル―1―プロパノール、モノイソプロパノールアミン、ジイソプロパノールアミン、2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノール、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるアルカノールアミンである、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 前記界面活性剤が、アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、双性界面活性剤、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 前記溶媒系がベンジルアルコールである、請求項1に記載した方法。
- 重合した汚れを除去する方法であって、
(i)約1質量%〜約50質量%のアルカノールアミンアルカリ源であって、該アルカリ源の水酸化ナトリウムは約1質量%未満である、アルカノールアミンアルカリ源と、
(ii)約1質量%〜約80質量%の界面活性剤と、
(iii)約1質量%〜約90質量%の溶媒系と、
を含む、約11.5未満のpHを有する濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物を希釈する工程;
前記希釈した非腐食性脱脂剤組成物を、重合した脂肪の汚れで汚れた表面に適用する工程であって、個人用保護具を必要としない工程;及び、
前記濃縮非腐食性脱脂剤組成物の前記アルカノールアミンアルカリ源を、前記重合した脂肪の汚れに浸透させる工程を含む、方法。 - 前記アルカノールアミンアルカリ源が、モノエタノールアミン及び/又は2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノールであり、前記溶媒系がベンジルアルコールである、請求項9に記載した方法。
- 前記界面活性剤が、アニオン性界面活性剤、非イオン性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、双性界面活性剤、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載した方法。
- 前記アルカリ源が水酸化ナトリウムを含まず、前記重合した脂肪の汚れを除去するために更なる機械的な力を必要としない、請求項9に記載した方法。
- 重合した脂肪の汚れを除去するための非腐食性脱脂剤組成物であって、
(i)約1質量%〜約50質量%のアルカノールアミンアルカリ源であって、該アルカリ源の水酸化ナトリウムは約1質量%未満である、アルカノールアミンアルカリ源と、
(ii)約1質量%〜約80質量%の界面活性剤と、
(iii)約1質量%〜約90質量%の溶媒系と、
を含んでおり、前記組成物は、pHが約11.5未満であって含まれる水酸化ナトリウムアルカリ源が約1質量%未満である使用溶液を生ずる、非腐食性脱脂剤組成物。 - 前記アルカノールアミンアルカリ源が、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、2―アミノ―2―メチル―1―プロパノール、モノイソプロパノールアミン、ジイソプロパノールアミン、2―(2―アミノエトキシ)エタノール、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記溶媒系がベンジルアルコールである、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤が直鎖アルキルベンゼンスルホネートである、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記組成物が、使用溶液を形成するために乳化された、又は約11.5未満のpHを有する使用溶液へと希釈された、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記アルカリ源が水酸化ナトリウムを含まない、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記組成物が、前記組成物の形態及び/又は適用方法を変更するために約0.01質量%〜約10質量%の一つ以上の添加剤を更に含む、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記組成物は、重合した脂肪の汚れを汚れた表面から除去するために用いるものであり、前記組成物は、重合した脂肪の汚れに実質的に浸透させるために、洗浄すべき汚れた表面に、重合のレベルに応じて約1秒〜約24時間適用するものであり、前記組成物は、アルミニウムに対して非腐食性である、請求項13に記載した組成物。
- 前記組成物が触媒コンバータ基材の表面と適合する、請求項13に記載した組成物。
