20〜50%のアルカリ金属シアネート及び
最大3%のシアン化物イオン(作業中に生成される)から構成される(含有量は質量で表される)窒化浴を提案する(含有量の合計は100%である)。
・カーボネート含有量は、窒化をもたらす化学反応を阻害するほど高くなるべきではない
ということがわかる。
25〜30%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
25〜30%の炭酸ナトリウム及び炭酸リチウム、
40〜50%の塩化カリウム並びに
最大3%のシアン化物イオン(作業中に生成される)から構成され(±2%、更には±1%以内)、含有量の合計は100%である。
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
45%の塩化カリウムから構成され(±2%、更には±1%以内)、窒化動力学、浴を構成している混合物の価格、処理済みの部品の表面の粗さにおける変動、融点及び処理済みの部品の表面での塩のエントレインメントのリスクを考慮に入れた極めて良好な妥協点であると判明している。当然のことながら、(特には、含有量が最大で3%に維持されるシアン化物イオンの生成を伴う)反応が起きることにより、作業時、この組成は若干変動し得る。
ウインドスクリーン・ワイパースピンドル、水圧若しくは気体シリンダのロッド又はジョイントブッシングに使用することができるタイプC45の焼なまし鋼から成るサンプルを、以下のように処理した。
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
45%の塩化カリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
を含有する溶融塩浴に浸した。
58%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
36%の炭酸カリウム及び
6%の炭酸リチウム、
から構成される標準的な窒化浴(本発明によるものではない)において行った。
上述した通りに用意したC45焼なまし鋼のサンプルを、1時間にわたって590℃で
20%のアルカリ金属塩化物(NaCl、KCl)、
40%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
30%の炭酸カリウム、
10%の炭酸リチウム、
を含有する浴で窒化した。
65%の塩化ナトリウム、
25%のシアン酸カリウム、
10%の炭酸カリウム、
を含有する浴を用意した。
実施例1と同様の条件下だが、
35%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
20%の炭酸ナトリウム、
20%の炭酸カリウム、
25%の塩化カリウム、
を含有する浴でのC45焼なましサンプルの処理によって、(本発明のものではない)標準浴でのRa=0.52μmに対して最終粗さRa=0.28μmが、10±1マイクロメートルの窒化層の表面で得られた。

冷間圧造で加工され、次に高周波浸漬に供した、初期粗さがRa=0.74μmのC45サンプルを、(実施例1と同様の準備後に)2時間にわたって590℃で、実施例1のものと同じ、
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
45%の塩化カリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
を含有する浴において窒化した。
クエンチ、焼き戻ししてから研削した初期粗さRa=0.34μmの42CrMo4製のサンプルを、(実施例1と同様の準備後に)実施例7のものと同じやり方、すなわち2時間にわたって590℃で、実施例1と同じ、
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
45%の塩化カリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
を含有する浴で窒化した。
初期粗さRa=0.20μmのC45焼なましサンプルを用意し、実施例1と同様に、すなわち1時間にわたって580℃で、
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
45%の塩化カリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
を含有する浴で窒化した。
Claims (13)
- 鋼製の機械部品を窒化するための溶融塩浴であって、
本質的に
25〜60%のアルカリ金属塩化物、
10〜40%のアルカリ金属カーボネート、
20〜50%のアルカリ金属シアネート及び
最大3%のシアン化物イオン
から構成され(含有量は質量で表される)、含有量の合計が100%である
ことを特徴とする溶融塩浴。 - 前記アルカリ金属塩化物が、塩化リチウム、塩化ナトリウム及び/又は塩化カリウムである、請求項1に記載の溶融塩浴。
- 前記アルカリ金属塩化物含有量が40〜50%である、請求項1又は2に記載の溶融塩浴。
- 前記アルカリ金属塩化物含有量が少なくとも約45%である、請求項3に記載の溶融塩浴。
- 前記アルカリ金属シアネート含有量が20〜40%である、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の溶融塩浴。

から構成され、含有量の合計が100%である、請求項1又は2に記載の溶融塩浴。 - 本質的に、最大で3%になるシアン化物イオンの生成前に、
28%のシアン酸ナトリウム、
22%の炭酸ナトリウム、
5%の炭酸リチウム、
45%の塩化カリウム
から構成される、請求項9に記載の溶融塩浴。 - 鉄又は鋼製の機械部品を窒化する方法であって、前記部品を、530〜650℃の温度の上記の組成の浴に最大で4時間にわたって浸す
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記部品を、570〜590℃の温度の浴に最大で2時間にわたって浸す、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 請求項11又は12のいずれかに記載の方法で得られる窒化鋼製の機械部品であって、研削等の続く機械的仕上げ工程の痕跡が見られないことを特徴とする機械部品。
