Abstract
Description
本発明は、微粒子分離部材に関する。詳細には、例えば、分析用途などにおいて、微粒子を含有する液体から、該液体による表面の汚染を低減させた微粒子を分離して分析装置内に運び込み、該微粒子の正確な分析を行うため等に好適に用いられる、微粒子分離部材に関する。 The present invention relates to a fine particle separation member. In detail, for example, in order to perform an accurate analysis of the fine particles by separating the fine particles with reduced surface contamination by the liquid from the liquid containing the fine particles in an analysis application, etc. The present invention relates to a fine particle separation member that is suitably used.
微粒子含有液体から微粒子のみを分離して分析評価することは、製造プロセス等における該微粒子含有液体の混入経路等を解明する上で重要である。 Analyzing and evaluating only the fine particles from the fine particle-containing liquid is important for elucidating the mixing route of the fine particle-containing liquid in the production process and the like.
微粒子含有液体をピックアップする手段としては、従来、マイクロピペットや、タングステンプローブやガラスプローブなどのマイクロプローブを、サンプリングツールとして用いる方法が用いられている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。 As means for picking up the fine particle-containing liquid, conventionally, a method using a micropipette, a microprobe such as a tungsten probe or a glass probe as a sampling tool has been used (for example, see Patent Document 1).
However, with the conventional sampling tool, it is difficult to separate and hold only the fine particles contained in the fine particle-containing liquid. Furthermore, even if only the fine particles contained in the fine particle-containing liquid could be separated and held, the liquid containing the fine particles originally existed and at least partly covered. For example, when the IR analysis is performed on the fine particles while being held by the sampling tool, it is difficult to perform an accurate analysis of the fine particles, such as when a peak due to the liquid is mixed. There is a problem that there is.
また、微粒子含有液体のピックアップは容易ではない。例えば、微粒子含有液体は薄膜状態において非常に薄いため、マイクロピペットを用いても、十分に吸引採取することができないという問題がある。また、微粒子含有液体は、通常、表面張力の高い基板上などに存在しているため、タングステンプローブやガラスプローブなどのマイクロプローブを用いても、該マイクロプローブ表面への液体移動がスムーズに行われないという問題がある。 Also, it is not easy to pick up the fine particle-containing liquid. For example, since the fine particle-containing liquid is very thin in a thin film state, there is a problem that even if a micropipette is used, sufficient suction and collection cannot be performed. In addition, since the fine particle-containing liquid usually exists on a substrate having a high surface tension, even when a microprobe such as a tungsten probe or a glass probe is used, the liquid can be smoothly transferred to the surface of the microprobe. There is no problem.
本発明の課題は、微粒子含有液体を容易にピックアップできるとともに、微粒子を含有する液体から該液体による表面の汚染が実質的にない微粒子を分離して保持でき、該微粒子を保持したまま分析装置内に運び込んで分析評価することが可能な、微粒子分離部材を提供することにある。また、そのような微粒子分離部材を用いて、微粒子を含有する液体から該液体による表面の汚染が実質的にない微粒子を分離して保持させる、微粒子分離方法を提供することにある。 It is an object of the present invention to easily pick up a fine particle-containing liquid and to separate and hold fine particles that are substantially free of surface contamination by the liquid from the liquid containing fine particles.
≪Particulate separation member≫
The fine particle separation member of the present invention has a carbon nanotube aggregate including a plurality of carbon nanotubes. The fine particle separation member of the present invention preferably has a carbon nanotube aggregate including a plurality of carbon nanotubes at least at the tip portion. The fine particle separation member of the present invention has such an aggregate of carbon nanotubes, so that the liquid containing fine particles can be easily picked up, and fine particles substantially free from surface contamination by the liquid are separated from the liquid containing fine particles. The fine particles can be carried into the analyzer while being held for analysis and evaluation.
The fine particle separation member of the present invention can easily pick up a fine particle-containing liquid, and can separate and hold fine particles that are substantially free of surface contamination by the liquid from the liquid containing fine particles. It is possible to carry it into the device for analysis and evaluation. Here, the term “pickup” means that the fine particle-containing liquid is absorbed and collected using the fine particle separation member of the present invention. More specifically, the “pickup” is preferably 30% by weight or more, more preferably 50% by weight or more, and still more preferably 70% of the amount of the particulate-containing liquid present using the particulate separation member of the present invention. It means collecting by absorbing at least 90% by weight, particularly preferably at least 90% by weight, most preferably at least 95% by weight. However, the amount of the fine particle-containing liquid pick-up is appropriately set according to the purpose. Therefore, in a situation where only a small amount of the fine particle-containing liquid can be collected, the amount of the fine particle-containing liquid to be collected may be small, and in a situation where substantially all of the fine particle-containing liquid must be collected, the fine particle-containing liquid to be collected The amount of must be substantially total.

In addition, such a fine particle-containing liquid has a problem that even when a microprobe such as a tungsten probe or a glass probe is used, the liquid does not move smoothly to the surface of the microprobe. By using the fine particle separation member of the present invention, even such a liquid containing fine particles can be easily picked up, and fine particles having substantially no surface contamination by the liquid are separated and retained from the liquid containing the fine particles. The fine particles can be carried into the analyzer while being held for analysis and evaluation. In addition, as for the kind of the liquid which comprises a liquid thin film, Preferably, if it is a liquid whose contact angle when it is set as a droplet on glass is 60 degrees or more, arbitrary appropriate liquids can be employ | adopted.

The type of liquid constituting the liquid thin film is preferably any appropriate liquid as long as the liquid thin film has a maximum diameter of 1 μm to 25 μm when spread as a thin film on glass. Since such a fine particle-containing liquid is very thin, there is a problem that even if a conventional micropipette is used, it is very difficult to perform sufficient suction collection. In addition, such a fine particle-containing liquid has a problem that even when a microprobe such as a tungsten probe or a glass probe is used, it is very difficult to move the liquid to the surface of the microprobe.

Any appropriate method can be adopted as a method for producing a carbon nanotube aggregate included in the fine particle separation member of the present invention.
As a method for producing an aggregate of carbon nanotubes included in the fine particle separation member of the present invention, for example, a catalyst layer is formed on a smooth substrate, and a carbon source is filled in a state where the catalyst is activated by heat, plasma, or the like. And a method of producing an aggregate of carbon nanotubes oriented substantially vertically from a substrate by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), in which carbon nanotubes are grown. In this case, for example, if the substrate is removed, an aggregate of carbon nanotubes oriented in the length direction can be obtained.
上記基板としては、任意の適切な基板を採用し得る。例えば、平滑性を有し、カーボンナノチューブの製造に耐え得る高温耐熱性を有する材料が挙げられる。このような材料としては、例えば、石英ガラス、シリコン(シリコンウェハなど)、アルミニウムなどの金属板などが挙げられる。上記基板は、そのまま、本発明の微粒子分離部材が含み得る軸状基材や基材として用いることができる。 Any appropriate substrate can be adopted as the substrate. For example, the material which has smoothness and the high temperature heat resistance which can endure manufacture of a carbon nanotube is mentioned. Examples of such materials include quartz glass, silicon (such as a silicon wafer), and a metal plate such as aluminum. The substrate can be used as it is as an axial substrate or substrate that can be included in the fine particle separation member of the present invention.
本発明の微粒子分離部材が有するカーボンナノチューブ集合体を製造するための装置としては、任意の適切な装置を採用し得る。例えば、熱CVD装置としては、図7に示すような、筒型の反応容器を抵抗加熱式の電気管状炉で囲んで構成されたホットウォール型などが挙げられる。その場合、反応容器としては、例えば、耐熱性の石英管などが好ましく用いられる。 Any appropriate apparatus can be adopted as an apparatus for producing the carbon nanotube aggregate included in the fine particle separation member of the present invention. For example, as a thermal CVD apparatus, as shown in FIG. 7, a hot wall type configured by surrounding a cylindrical reaction vessel with a resistance heating type electric tubular furnace, and the like can be mentioned. In that case, for example, a heat-resistant quartz tube is preferably used as the reaction vessel.
本発明の微粒子分離部材が有するカーボンナノチューブ集合体の製造に用い得る触媒(触媒層の材料)としては、任意の適切な触媒を用い得る。例えば、鉄、コバルト、ニッケル、金、白金、銀、銅などの金属触媒が挙げられる。 Any appropriate catalyst can be used as a catalyst (catalyst layer material) that can be used for producing the carbon nanotube aggregate of the fine particle separation member of the present invention. For example, metal catalysts, such as iron, cobalt, nickel, gold, platinum, silver, copper, are mentioned.

Any appropriate method can be adopted as a method for producing the alumina / hydrophilic film. For example, it can be obtained by forming a SiO 2 film on a substrate, depositing Al, and then oxidizing it by raising the temperature to 450 ° C. According to such a manufacturing method, Al 2 O 3 interacts with the SiO 2 film hydrophilic, different Al 2 O 3 surface particle diameters than those deposited Al 2 O 3 directly formed. Even if Al is deposited and heated to 450 ° C. and oxidized without forming a hydrophilic film on the substrate, Al 2 O 3 surfaces having different particle diameters may not be formed easily. Moreover, even if a hydrophilic film is prepared on a substrate and Al 2 O 3 is directly deposited, it is difficult to form Al 2 O 3 surfaces having different particle diameters.

表1に示すように、本発明によれば、微粒子含有液体を容易にピックアップできるとともに、微粒子を含有する液体から該液体による表面の汚染が実質的にない微粒子を分離して保持でき、該微粒子を保持したまま分析装置内に運び込んで分析評価することが可能な、微粒子分離部材を提供することができる。また、そのような微粒子分離部材を用いて、微粒子を含有する液体から該液体による表面の汚染が実質的にない微粒子を分離して保持させる、微粒子分離方法を提供することができる。 As shown in Table 1, according to the present invention, the fine particle-containing liquid can be easily picked up, and fine particles having substantially no surface contamination by the liquid can be separated from the liquid containing the fine particles, and the fine particles can be retained. It is possible to provide a fine particle separation member that can be carried into an analyzer while being held and analyzed and evaluated. In addition, it is possible to provide a fine particle separation method that uses such a fine particle separation member to separate and hold fine particles that are substantially free from surface contamination by the liquid from the liquid containing the fine particles.
Further, as shown in FIG. 8, an FT-IR chart of fine particles picked up and held by using the fine particle separation member of the present invention, and glass beads (Fuji Glass Beads FGB320, manufactured by Fuji Seisakusho Co., Ltd.) (Diameter = 53 μm to 63 μm) When compared with the FT-IR chart of the particle itself, the FT-IR chart of the fine particles picked up and held using the fine particle separation member of the present invention is not dispersed in the silicone oil. 1) shows substantially the same chart as the FT-IR chart, and it can be seen that the fine particles picked up and held using the fine particle separation member of the present invention are substantially free from surface contamination by silicone oil. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 9, an FT-IR chart of fine particles picked up and held using a tungsten probe which is a conventional sampling tool, and a silicone oil picked up using the fine particle separation member of the present invention (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) Compared with FT-IR chart manufactured by KF-54 manufactured by Co., Ltd. and a contact angle of 68.8 ° when droplets are formed on glass, FT- of fine particles picked up and held using a tungsten probe In the IR chart, a peak derived from silicone oil appears, and it can be seen that fine particles picked up and held using a tungsten probe, which is a conventional sampling tool, have surface contamination due to silicone oil.
本発明の微粒子分離部材は、例えば、分析用途などにおいて、微粒子を含有する液体から、該液体による表面の汚染を低減させた微粒子を分離して分析装置内に運び込み、該微粒子の正確な分析を行うため等に好適に用いられる。 The fine particle separation member of the present invention separates fine particles whose surface contamination by the liquid has been reduced from a liquid containing fine particles, for example, in analysis applications, and carries it into the analyzer for accurate analysis of the fine particles.
