Abstract
【解決手段】指針構造において、導光部材により構成されて光源側導光部91と視認部側導光部93とが指針屈曲部75aを介して接続された指針本体55と、指針屈曲部75aの出隅側に形成されて光源光が入射する外側反射面97と、指針屈曲部75aの内隅側に形成されて外側反射面97の外側反射面法線101と交わる内側反射面法線103を有し、光り入射側において内側反射面法線103が180度よりも小さく90度よりも大きい挟角θで外側反射面法線101と交わる内側反射面99と、を設けた。

Description
しかしながら、文字板が例えば車速などの重要な情報を表示し、表示器が現在時刻などの比較的重要でない情報を表示する場合などは、文字板を表示器の正面側に配置して、文字板の視認性をより高めたいという要望があった。
図6(a)に示した指針本体501は、上述したように略S字状の形状に形成されているため、複数の指針屈曲部503a〜503dを有する。例えば、光源に最も近い指針基端側の指針屈曲部503aは、図6(b)に示すように、光源側導光部505と視認部側導光部507との間に設けられている。指針屈曲部503aの出隅側には、光源光が入射する約45度に傾斜する外側反射面511が形成されている。また、指針屈曲部503aの内隅側には、外側反射面511と平行な内側反射面513が形成されている。従って、外側反射面511の外側反射面法線515と内側反射面513の内側反射面法線517とは平行となる。そして、光源側導光部505の軸線Xと平行な光源光の直線光509は、外側反射面511に入射して反射光521となって視認部側導光部507へと伝搬する。
即ち、光源側導光部505を伝搬する斜め光523は、外側反射面511に入射すると、外側反射面法線515とのなす入射角と同じ反射角で反射して第1反射光525となって内側反射面513に入射する。内側反射面513に入射した第1反射光525は、内側反射面法線517となす入射角と同じ反射角で反射して第2反射光527となって視認部側導光部507を伝搬する。ここで、外側反射面511と内側反射面513とが平行であると、指針本体501の境界面529に入射する第2反射光527は、境界面529に対する入射角が小さく、全反射せずに指針本体501の外側へ漏れやすくなる。その結果、指針屈曲部503aに平行な外側反射面511と内側反射面513とを有する指針構造では、光ロスが生じ、十分な指針照明輝度が得られない可能性があった。
(1) 導光部材により構成されて光源側導光部と視認部側導光部とが指針屈曲部を介して接続された指針本体と、前記指針屈曲部の出隅側に形成されて光源光が入射する外側反射面と、前記指針屈曲部の内隅側に形成されて前記外側反射面の外側反射面法線と交わる内側反射面法線を有し、光り入射側において前記内側反射面法線が180度よりも小さく90度よりも大きい挟角で前記外側反射面法線と交わる内側反射面と、を備えることを特徴とする指針構造。
図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る指針構造は、コンビネーションメータ11の自発光式指針13に好適に用いることができる。コンビネーションメータ11は、例えば車両の図示しないインストルメントパネルに取り付けられる。コンビネーションメータ11には、車両の速度を指示する速度計15と、表示器であるLCD17を用いたマルチ表示部19と、ターンL表示部21と、ターンR表示部23と、燃料残量を指示する燃料計25と、水温を指示する水温計27と、シートベルト非着用やヘッドランプ消し忘れ用のウォーニング29と、が設けられている。
指針本体55の指針屈曲部75aは、図4に示すように、光源側導光部91と視認部側導光部93とを接続している。指針屈曲部75aの出隅側には、光源光(直線光95及び斜め光107)が入射する外側反射面97が形成される。指針屈曲部75aの内隅側には、外側反射面97と対面し、外側反射面97からの第1反射光109が入射可能となる内側反射面99が形成される。内側反射面99は、外側反射面97の外側反射面法線101と交わる内側反射面法線103を有し、光り入射側において内側反射面法線103が180度よりも小さく90度よりも大きい挟角θで外側反射面法線101と交わる傾斜面で形成されている。
上記実施形態に係る指針構造では、光源側導光部91の軸線Xと平行な光源光の直線光95は、指針屈曲部75aの出隅側に形成された外側反射面97に入射すると、外側反射面法線101とのなす入射角と同じ反射角で反射されて反射光105となって視認部側導光部93へと伝搬する。
例えば、上記実施形態の自発光式指針13における指針本体55は、指針視認部83に指針屈曲部75dを介して接続されて文字板43の内縁部53から文字板43の裏側へ延設された指針首部73を有し、指針首部73の指針基端側には更にコ字形状曲部77が接続されることで、先端側が略S字状に形成されて4つの指針屈曲部75a〜75dを備えた構造とされたが、本発明の指針構造はこれに限定されるものではない。即ち、指針視認部に指針屈曲部を介して接続されて文字板の外縁部から文字板の裏側へ延設された指針首部を有し、指針首部の指針基端側に直線状延設部が接続されることで、先端側が略J字状に形成されて2つの指針屈曲部を備えた指針本体を構成することもできる。

Claims (2)
- 導光部材により構成されて光源側導光部と視認部側導光部とが指針屈曲部を介して接続された指針本体と、
前記指針屈曲部の出隅側に形成されて光源光が入射する外側反射面と、
前記指針屈曲部の内隅側に形成されて前記外側反射面の外側反射面法線と交わる内側反射面法線を有し、光り入射側において前記内側反射面法線が180度よりも小さく90度よりも大きい挟角で前記外側反射面法線と交わる内側反射面と、
を備えることを特徴とする指針構造。 - 請求項1記載の指針構造であって、
前記指針本体が複数の前記指針屈曲部を有し、
少なくとも光源に最も近い前記指針屈曲部が前記外側反射面及び前記内側反射面を有することを特徴とする指針構造。
