Claims (8)
- 一又は複数の出口弁の下流に配置され、かつ、高温排気の残部がターボチャージャーおよび/または排気ガス後処理(6)に移行しながら前記高温排気の一部が触媒を通過するように配置される触媒(7)を備える改質装置触媒ユニット(4)を備える、気筒毎に少なくとも1つの入口弁および出口弁(2)が設けられる入口側および出口側を有するディーゼルエンジン(1)であって、前記触媒ユニットには、改質装置触媒に熱を供給して有効な改質温度にこれを上昇させるためにディーゼル燃料が噴射され得るように、好ましくはディーゼル燃料噴射装置の形のディーゼル燃料供給手段(11)が設けられる、ディーゼルエンジン。
- 前記触媒は、環状形状から成り、高温排気ガスが環状のハウジングの内部および外部表面にわたって流れることができるようになっている前記ハウジング内に配置される、請求項1に記載のエンジン。
- 前記触媒が、金属フロースルーハニカム担体上の触媒材料の析出物である、請求項1または2に記載のエンジン。
- 前記触媒が、排気マニホールド内に配置される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のエンジン。
- 前記触媒が、シリンダヘッド内に配置される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のエンジン。
- エンジンからの前記排気ガスの10体積パーセント未満が、前記触媒を通過するように配置される、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のエンジン。
- 前記触媒を通過する前記排気ガスの量が、約1%〜2%である、請求項6に記載のエンジン。
- 前記改質装置触媒からエンジンの前記入口側まで、および/または触媒後処理手段の上流の排気ラインのある点まで接続が形成される、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のエンジン。
