Abstract
【解決手段】複合正極活物質は、複合正極活物質100重量部に対し、下記化学式1で表示される正極活物質80ないし98重量部と、活性炭1ないし15重量部と、カーボンブラック1ないし5重量部とを含み、前記活性炭の比表面積が800ないし3000m2/gであり、前記カーボンブラックの比表面積が1000ないし2000m2/gである。

ただし、MはMg、Ni、Co、Cr、Al、V、Fe、Cu、Zn、Ti、Sr、Mn、BおよびLaの中の1種以上であり、xは0<x<1である。

ただし、MはMg、Ni、Co、Cr、Al、V、Fe、Cu、Zn、Ti、Sr、Mn、BおよびLaの中の1種以上であり、xは0<x<1である。
xLi2MnO3−(1−x)LiMO2
前記MはMg、Ni、Co、Cr、Al、V、Fe、Cu、Zn、Ti、Sr、Mn、BおよびLaの中の1種以上であり、好ましくはNi、CoおよびMnであり、xは0<x<1である。
(1)複合正極活物質
表1に示したような含有量で正極活物質、活性炭およびカーボンブラックを乳鉢で30分間乾式混合して、複合正極活物質を製造した。
複合正極活物質97重量%およびNMPに6wt%に溶かしたPVDF(フッ化ポリビニリデン)3重量%を混合してスラリーを製作した後、アルミニウム薄板上にコーティングする。次に、ロールプレスを通して圧密化処理を行って、リチウム2次電池用複合正極活物質を含むリチウム2次電池の電極を製造した。
前記製造された電極を含み、陰極(リチウムメタル、FMC)、分離膜(PP、Celgard)およびリチウム電解液(LiPF6 1.3M in EC:EMC:DEC=3:2:5、(株)パナックステック(panaxetec)からなるコイン型リチウム2次電池を製造した。
表1に示したような成分および含有量を構成したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム2次電池を製造した。

前記製造された電池をコインセルに製造した後、常温で0.1Cで1サイクル(cycle)充放電し、−30℃で0.2Cで1サイクル、1Cで1サイクル、2Cで2サイクル充放電後、0.2C対比2Cで発現した容量比率を測定し、その結果を表1に示す。
(1)0.82LiNi0.58Co0.20Mn0.22O2・0.18Li2MnO3
(2)カーボンブラック:比表面積1250m2/g
(3)活性炭:比表面積1000m2/g
表1を参照すれば、本発明による複合正極活物質は低温特性が改善されて、−30℃で充放電時に優れた率特性を提供することを確認できる。
Claims (7)
- 複合正極活物質100重量部に対し、
下記化学式1で表示される正極活物質80ないし98重量部と、
活性炭1ないし15重量部と、
カーボンブラック1ないし5重量部とを含み、
前記活性炭の比表面積が800ないし3000m2/gであり、前記カーボンブラックの比表面積が1000ないし2000m2/gであることを特徴とする複合正極活物質。

ただし、MはMg、Ni、Co、Cr、Al、V、Fe、Cu、Zn、Ti、Sr、Mn、BおよびLaの中の1種以上であり、xは0<x<1である。 - 前記カーボンブラック対活性炭は1:0.2乃至1:15の混合比(w/w)で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複合正極活物質。
- 前記カーボンブラック対活性炭は1:0.2乃至1:3の混合比(w/w)で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複合正極活物質。
- 請求項1に記載の複合正極活物質と、バインダーとを含むことを特徴とするリチウム2次電池用電極。
- 前記バインダーはフッ化ポリビニリデン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアルコール、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、デンプン、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、スチレンブチレンゴム、フッ素ゴムのうち、1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池用電極。
- 前記複合正極活物質対バインダーは90:10ないし98:2の混合比(w/w)で含まれることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池用電極。
- 請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池用電極を含むことを特徴とするリチウム2次電池。
