Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a terminal used for a capacitor such as an electric double layer capacitor, and relates to, for example, a terminal molding method using press working, a terminal, a sealing plate, and a capacitor.
In a capacitor such as an electric double layer capacitor or an electrolytic capacitor, a sealing plate is used for sealing an outer case containing a capacitor element. The sealing plate is provided with anode-side and cathode-side terminals. Each terminal is an external electrode that pulls out the anode and cathode of the capacitor element in the outer case, and is a connecting member for connecting the capacitor to an external circuit.
With respect to such a terminal, it is known to install a terminal on a sealing plate that seals an outer case containing a capacitor element (for example, Patent Document 1).
By the way, each terminal installed in the sealing plate is pressed into a predetermined shape and then fixed to the insulating member of the sealing plate by insert molding. For press working, cold heading or cold forging is used. The terminal material cut into a predetermined size is processed into a predetermined shape by pressing. A terminal having a complicated shape cannot be realized by a single press process, and stepwise press processes are performed until a final shape is reached.
For example, aluminum is used as the metal material at the capacitor terminal, as is the case with the electrode foil of the capacitor element. This aluminum is a metal with good formability. On the other hand, when metal pieces such as burrs generated during press working remain on the terminal member or the mold, there is a problem that the metal piece deteriorates the molding surface of the terminal member. That is, if a metal piece adheres to the surface to be processed, the metal piece is pressed against the surface to be processed in the next process, and this damages the processing surface. Further, the metal piece adhering to the forming die is pressed in the next step and attached to the surface to be processed, or peeling occurs from the processing surface when the metal piece is pressed.
When press processing is performed in a plurality of stages, there is a problem that metal pieces and the like generated in the previous process affect the molding surface of the next process, and the multiplexing of the press processing reduces the processing accuracy and quality of the molded product.
The workpiece is cleaned by washing. However, when metal pieces that cannot be removed by washing remain, there is a problem that when the capacitor is used, the metal pieces are detached due to vibration or stress, and the metal pieces cause deterioration of electrical characteristics of the capacitor.
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to avoid the influence of metal pieces such as burrs caused by press working, and to realize a terminal with high processing accuracy and processing quality.

FIG. 1 shows a terminal processing procedure. This processing procedure is an example, and the terminal molding method of the present invention is not limited to such a procedure.

(S11) (1) Cutting process (S11)
In the cutting process, as shown in FIG. 3A, the
FIG. 3B shows a
(S12) (2) Primary press working (S12)
As shown in FIG. 3C, the
The height h2 may be a size including a height of 2Δh, which is twice the depth Δh of the cutting
As shown to A of FIG. 4, with respect to the primary

(S14) (4) Secondary press working (S14)

(S15) (5) Thread cutting (S15)

Relationship between cutting and pressing>
A, B, and C in FIG. 5 show the relationship between the cutting after the primary pressing and the secondary pressing.
As shown to A of FIG. 5, the surface part (primary press processing surface) by the side of the
Thus, cutting is performed on the width W1 of the surface layer 36-1. That is, cutting is performed with a width W1 larger than the width W2 of the secondary press working area. The cutting depth d need only be such that burrs and metal pieces generated by the primary pressing can be removed. For example, d = 1 [mm] or less is preferable. Thereby, impurities such as burrs and metal pieces are removed by cutting in the cutting area. Metal pieces generated by cutting may be removed by jetting compressed air or the like.
As shown in FIG. 5B, the press working jig 40-1 is applied in the direction of the arrow to the
The relationship between cutting and pressing is as described above. That is, the cutting area may be set beyond the end of the pressing surface of the pressing jig. Thereby, peeling of the surface layer 36-1 can be prevented. The cutting depth is the above-described cutting depth d, which is preferably 1 mm or less of the surface layer. It is not necessary to press the entire processing area, and at least a part of the processing area may be pressed, so that pressing is performed within the cutting area.
Capacitor manufacturing process>
FIG. 6 shows the procedure from the roughening process of the
