Abstract
【解決手段】減筒用バルブ休止機構21により作動を継続又は休止する第1気筒群と、作動を休止又は継続する第2気筒群の夫々に対して過給を行う第1及び第2ターボ式過給器16A、16Bを設け、これらの両方のターボ式過給器16A、16Bからの空気Aを別々の独立した吸気通路12A、12B経由で第1及び第2気筒群に供給すると共に、両方のターボ式過給器16A、16Bに過給を行う第3ターボ式過給器26を設ける。

Claims (2)
- ターボ式過給器と、予め設定した気筒群の排気弁及び吸気弁の開閉を休止する減筒用バルブ休止機構を備え、
前記減筒用バルブ休止機構により作動を継続又は休止する第1気筒群と、前記減筒用バルブ休止機構により作動を休止又は継続する第2気筒群とを区分して、吸気通路を第1気筒群への第1吸気通路と第2気筒群への第2吸気通路に分岐すると共に、排気通路を第1気筒群からの第1排気通路と第2気筒群からの第2排気通路に分岐し、 前記第1吸気通路と前記第1排気通路に第1ターボ式過給器を、前記第2吸気通路と前記第2排気通路に第2ターボ式過給器をそれぞれ設け、前記第1吸気通路と前記第2吸気通路との分岐部位の上流側となる吸気通路と、前記第1排気通路と前記第2排気通路との合流部位の下流側となる排気通路に、第3ターボ式過給器を設けたディーゼルエンジンにおいて、
前記第1吸気通路と前記第2吸気通路を合流させることなく、前記第1吸気通路を前記第1気筒群の第1吸気マニホールドに接続すると共に前記第2吸気通路を前記第2気筒群の第2吸気マニホールドに接続したことを特徴とするディーゼルエンジン。 - 通常運転時においては、エンジン回転数とエンジン負荷に応じて、前記減筒用バルブ休止機構と前記第1ターボ式過給器と前記第2ターボ式過給器と前記第3ターボ式過給器を制御する制御装置を備え、
該制御装置が、アイドル運転時の場合、減速運転時の場合、及び気筒へ供給する全体燃料の流量がゼロの場合には、前記減筒用バルブ休止機構を作動させた減筒運転中であっても、作動を休止している気筒群の休止を停止して全気筒を作動させる制御を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のディーゼルエンジン。
