Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置は、視差バリア用液晶パネルに重ねられた光透過性基板50と、液晶表示パネル10の表示領域を囲むように光透過性基板50に形成された遮光枠52と、導光板38の端面と対向するように位置し、液晶表示パネル10の端部を裏面22側で支持し、液晶表示パネル10よりも外側にはみ出す部分を有するフレーム42と、を有し、遮光枠52は、フレーム42の導光板38に隣り合う部分及び当該部分よりも外側の部分を覆うように形成され、フレーム42は、入射する光の一部を反射するとともに一部を透過する材料からなる本体44と、本体44の導光板38に対向する面を避けて本体44の液晶表示パネル10側の面であって液晶表示パネル10からはみ出した部分に少なくとも形成された遮光膜48と、を有する。

Claims (6)
- 表示面及び前記表示面とは反対側の裏面を有する液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルに表示された左眼画像と右眼画像を分離して裸眼立体視を可能にするために、前記液晶表示パネルの前記表示面側に重ねられた視差バリア用液晶パネルと、
前記視差バリア用液晶パネルの、前記液晶表示パネルとは反対側に重ねられた光透過性基板と、
前記液晶表示パネルの表示領域を囲むように前記光透過性基板に形成された遮光枠と、
前記液晶表示パネルの前記裏面側に配置された、導光板を含むバックライトと、
前記導光板の端面と対向するように位置し、前記液晶表示パネルの端部を前記裏面側で支持し、前記液晶表示パネルよりも外側にはみ出す部分を有するフレームと、
を有し、
前記遮光枠は、前記フレームの前記導光板に隣り合う部分及び当該部分よりも外側の部分を覆うように形成され、
前記フレームは、入射する光の一部を反射するとともに一部を透過する材料からなる本体と、前記本体の前記導光板に対向する面を避けて前記本体の前記液晶表示パネル側の面であって前記液晶表示パネルからはみ出した部分に少なくとも形成された遮光膜と、を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記本体は、前記液晶表示パネルからはみ出した部分に、前記液晶表示パネルを支持する面から上方に突出する凸部を有し、前記凸部は、前記液晶表示パネルの側方に位置し、
前記遮光膜は、前記凸部の側面及び上面を含む領域に形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記遮光膜は、前記本体の前記導光板に対向する前記面を避けて前記本体の全体に形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶表示パネルを前記フレームに貼り付ける遮光性の両面テープをさらに有し、
前記遮光膜は、前記両面テープと重複するように形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶表示パネルを前記フレームに貼り付ける遮光性の両面テープをさらに有し、
前記遮光膜は、前記両面テープとの重複をさけて形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶表示パネルの前記視差バリア用液晶パネル側の偏光板と、前記視差バリア用液晶パネルの前記液晶表示パネル側の偏光板は、1つの偏光板が共用され、
前記遮光枠は、共用される前記偏光板の縁部を覆うように形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
