Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a shield shell and a shield connector.
Conventionally, the one described in Patent Document 1 is known as a shield connector configured by covering the outer periphery of the inner housing with a shield shell and being accommodated in the outer housing. The shield shell constituting the shield connector is formed by combining a pair of split shells having the same shape. The split shell is formed by pressing a flat plate made of conductive metal or the like, and has a U-shape having a bottom wall and a pair of side walls rising from both ends of the bottom wall. Is provided with an insertion piece, and the other protruding end edge is provided with an insertion portion. Such a split shell is formed into a square-cylindrical shield shell by inserting one of the inserted pieces into the inserted portion of the split shell on the other side and crimping.
However, according to such a configuration, in order to mold the shield shell, in addition to the pressing step of molding the split shell, a processing step of crimping the inserted piece of the split shell and the inserted portion is necessary. There is a concern that the number of processing steps increases and the manufacturing cost increases. Further, since the shield shell is formed by caulking a pair of split shells and then mounted on the inner housing, the shield shell may be misaligned with respect to the inner housing, which may cause backlash.
The present invention has been completed based on the above circumstances, and provides a shield shell and a shield connector capable of reducing the number of processing steps and preventing shaft misalignment after assembly to a housing. With the goal.
The present invention is a cylindrical shield shell comprising a plurality of divided shells having the same shape and housed in an outer housing in a state assembled to the outer periphery of the inner housing, the divided shell being an outer peripheral surface of the inner housing A plate-like main body portion extending in the circumferential direction along the circumferential direction, a connecting portion provided at one end of both ends in the extending direction of the main body portion, and the other end of both ends in the extending direction of the main body portion And a connected portion connected to the connecting portion of the adjacent divided shell, and the connected portion includes an engaging portion that holds the connecting portion in a state of being overlapped with the connected portion. The engaging portion restricts the connecting portion from moving in the width direction and the thickness direction intersecting the assembling direction of the divided shells, and in the assembling direction of the divided shells. Allow To have the feature.
According to such a configuration, the shield shell is composed of a plurality of divided shells having the same shape, and the divided shells are held in a cylindrical shape on the outer periphery of the inner housing without being crimped to each other, thereby reducing the number of processing steps. can do. As a conventional processing method, for example, when a cylindrical shield shell is formed by bending a metal plate as a material into a square shape, butting the ends together and crimping, In addition, a plurality of bending processes have to be performed, and a process for crimping the end portions is necessary. On the other hand, since the present invention constitutes one shield shell from a plurality of divided shells, the bending process applied to one divided shell is simplified, and the number of machining steps is reduced by making the plurality of divided shells the same shape. In addition, the number of molds associated therewith can be reduced. Furthermore, since the engaging part which hold | maintains the adjacent connection part in the state which overlap | superposed the to-be-connected part without crimping the edge part of a division | segmentation shell is provided, the processing man-hour which caulks a division | segmentation shell mutually is reduced. be able to.
In addition, since the engaging portion restricts the connecting portion from moving in the width direction and the thickness direction intersecting with the assembling direction of the divided shells, the engaging portion allows the free movement in the assembling direction of the divided shells. While preventing the two shells from being displaced in two directions, it is possible to prevent the shaft from being displaced relative to the inner housing after the shield shell is assembled to the inner housing. As a conventional processing method, for example, a shield shell that is formed into a cylindrical shape by press-molding a metal flat plate into a quadrangular shape or caulking adjacent open ends together by combining a plurality of divided shells is used as the outer periphery of the inner housing. In the case of mounting to the inner housing, there is a possibility that the axial displacement of the shield shell with respect to the inner housing may occur due to molding errors of both the inner housing and the shield shell, resulting in looseness. On the other hand, in the shield shell of the present invention, since the engaging portion of the connected portion allows free movement of the split shells in the assembling direction, the position until the main body portion abuts on the outer surface of the inner housing. The connecting portion can be overlapped with the connected portion, and the axial displacement of the shield shell relative to the inner housing can be eliminated in the assembling direction of the divided shells.
The connection portion may include an insertion piece that protrudes in the extending direction of the main body portion, and the engagement portion may be an insertion port that opens to the connected portion and inserts the insertion piece. In order to restrict the movement of the connecting portion in the width direction and the thickness direction (direction intersecting the assembling direction of the divided shells) by the engaging portion and to allow the connecting portion to move in the extending direction of the main body portion. It can be easily realized by adjusting the size of the insertion port with respect to the size of each direction of the insertion piece.
The connected portion has a stepped portion formed by offsetting the distal end side of the connected portion to the outside away from the inner housing from the main body portion, and the insertion port is formed in the stepped portion. The offset dimension in the said to-be-connected part may be the structure equal to the dimension of the thickness direction of the said insertion piece. In order to regulate the movement of the connecting portion in the thickness direction by the insertion port, which is an engaging portion, the accuracy control is performed so that the thickness direction dimension of the insertion port falls within a predetermined tolerance range. There is a need. For example, it is expected that the accuracy control will be extremely difficult if the conventional dimension of the insertion port in the thickness direction is knocked out and secured. However, in order to form the stepped portion by offsetting the connected portion itself as in the present invention, it can be formed in a lump by, for example, press molding or the like, and the dimensional accuracy management of the offset dimension is relatively easy. It will be a thing. In this way, if the insertion port is formed so as to straddle the stepped portion, the accuracy management of the thickness direction of the insertion port was indirectly performed by the dimensional accuracy management of the offset dimension which is relatively easy. It becomes. Furthermore, it is possible to make the machining process easier by forming the insertion port straddling the stepped portion than forming the insertion port by knocking it out from the metal plate as the material. For example, a hole may be formed in advance so as to straddle the step portion by forming a hole in advance in a portion to be the insertion port and forming the step portion by press molding so as to straddle the hole. Note that the offset dimension at the connected part is “equal” to the thickness direction dimension of the insertion piece, but this “equal” refers to the exact same dimension of the offset dimension and the thickness direction of the insertion piece. I don't mean. It is sufficient that the insertion piece can be inserted into the insertion port and that the movement of the insertion piece in the thickness direction can be regulated, and the dimensional tolerance is included.
The split shell may be a pair. According to such a configuration, the split shell assembled in a cylindrical shape on the outer side surface of the inner housing is allowed to move in the assembly direction of the split shells. A pair of opposing outer surfaces can be sandwiched. If the outer housing is held in the outer housing with the sandwiched outer surface side, the shield shell is prevented from being displaced with respect to the inner housing, and the housing can be easily accommodated in the outer housing. Can be improved.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a shield shell and a shield connector that can reduce the number of processing steps and can prevent axial displacement after assembly to a housing.

<Embodiment>
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
The shield shell in the present embodiment exemplifies a case where the shield shell is applied to the

The
The

As shown in FIG. 5,
Subsequently, two divided
The
The
The connected
In order to assemble such a divided
Then, the effect | action in this embodiment is demonstrated.
First, the
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the
In addition, the dimension e in the thickness direction of the
That is, for example, a conventional shield shell that is formed into a cylindrical shape by crimping adjacent open ends by pressing a metal flat plate into a square shape or combining a plurality of divided shells on the outer periphery of the inner housing. In the case of mounting, the axial displacement of the shield shell with respect to the inner housing may occur due to molding errors of both the inner housing and the shield shell, which may cause backlash. On the other hand, since the
