Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor for decomposing a volatile organic compound contained in a gas, and more particularly to a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor using a photocatalyst.
Conventionally, a decomposition reactor for decomposing volatile organic compounds contained in gas or the like using a photocatalyst has been developed. For example, the
In this cracking
Therefore, for example,
However, the technique disclosed in
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problem, that is, by making the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor structured so that the gas flow becomes uniform, it contributes to the decomposition reaction. An object of the present invention is to provide a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor that avoids the generation of dead zones, improves the contact efficiency between the gas and the photocatalyst, and further reduces the production cost of the reactor itself.

In the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor according to the present invention, the gas containing the volatile organic compound can be circulated in the decomposition reactor so as to rotate around the column in the cylinder, so that the photocatalyst of The contact efficiency can be increased, and the decomposition efficiency of the volatile organic compound can be improved. FIG. 1 is an example diagram showing a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor according to a first embodiment of the present invention, where (a) is a plan view and (b) is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA.

In addition, about a code | symbol, it is the same as that of FIG.
As shown in (b), the volatile organic

Since the inflowed gas flows in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical

Next, a third embodiment of the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor in the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 3: is an example figure which showed the volatile organic compound decomposition | disassembly reactor in the 3rd Embodiment of this invention, (a) is a top view, (b) represents CC sectional drawing. In addition, about a code | symbol, it is the same as that of FIG. 1 except 24 being a flow path formation part.

FIG. 7 shows an example of a treatment process for decomposing volatile organic compounds contained in soil using the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor according to the present invention, wherein 10 is a volatile organic compound.

(Volatile organic compound decomposition reaction experiment 1)
This experiment examines how the type of photocatalyst and the exposure time by the light source affect the decomposition efficiency of volatile organic compounds.
This experiment was performed using three types of samples of titanium oxide-supported stainless steel mesh and titanium oxide-supported glass fibers as photocatalysts, and titanium oxide powder having a particle size of 30 nm (AMT-600, manufactured by Teika Co., Ltd.). The titanium oxide-supported glass fiber was tested by cutting a commercially available product (manufactured by Nippon Inorganic Co., Ltd.) produced with a titanium oxide support amount of 4% by weight and a titanium oxide particle size of 30 nm into a size of 20 × 10 mm. The amount of titanium oxide powder was 10 mg.
Moreover, the titanium oxide carrying stainless steel mesh was produced by the following steps by electrophoretic electrodeposition. First, 1.5 g of titanium oxide powder (AMT-600, manufactured by Teika Co., Ltd.), which is a photocatalyst having a particle size of 30 nm, is added to 150 ml of 2-propanol, stirred for 60 minutes, and then subjected to 10 using ultrasonic waves. A solvent was prepared by dispersing for 1 minute (1% dispersion of photocatalyst). Subsequently, the stainless steel mesh and the aluminum plate were immersed in the prepared solvent, the stainless steel mesh was set on the cathode side, and the aluminum plate was set on the anode side (the distance between the cathode and the anode was about 10 mm), and a DC power supply (EC1000S NF Circuit Design Block Co., Ltd.) was used, a voltage of 195 V (DC) was applied, and electrodeposition work (EPD film formation work) was performed for 1 minute.
Next, the stainless steel mesh after the electrodeposition work was heated to 500 ° C. at a temperature rising rate of 2 ° C./min in a muffle furnace (P-80G, manufactured by KDF), and fired by holding for 30 minutes. A titanium oxide-supported stainless steel mesh was produced. In addition, what cut the produced titanium oxide carrying | support stainless steel mesh in the magnitude | size of 20x10 mm was used for experiment.
In the experimental method, a gas (concentration of about 1000 ppm) containing cis-1,2-dichloroethylene (cis-DCE) was sealed in a sealable container (vial bottle) containing a photocatalyst and a titanium oxide powder, respectively. Then, the photocatalyst and the titanium oxide powder are irradiated with ultraviolet rays (exposure) with a chemical lamp for a certain period of time, and then the gas in the container is collected and measured with a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer (GCMS). This is to determine whether 1,2-dichloroethylene has been decomposed. The experimental results are shown in Table 1 as numerical values and as a graph in FIG.
Here, [cis-DCE] in Table 1 and FIG. 9 indicates the amount of cis-1,2-dichloroethylene remaining in the vial, and [cis-DCE] 0 is in the vial. The initial amount of cis-1,2-dichloroethylene contained is shown. In other words, the decomposition efficiency of “1” means that cis-1,2-dichloroethylene is not decomposed, that is, the smaller the numerical value, the more the amount decomposed. .
According to the experimental results shown in Table 1 and FIG. 9, when the exposure time is 1 minute, the decomposition efficiency is “1” for all three types, and no catalytic action occurs, but the longer the exposure time is, the longer the exposure time is. It can be seen that the decomposition efficiency is improved. Titanium oxide powder has the highest decomposition efficiency (exposure time: 10 min, decomposition efficiency: 0.07), followed by titanium oxide-supported stainless steel mesh (exposure time: 10 min, decomposition efficiency: 0.44), and oxidation The order was titanium-supported glass fiber (exposure time: 10 min, decomposition efficiency: 0.74).

According to the experimental results, as shown in Table 2 and FIGS. 10 to 12, the gas flow rates of both tetrachlorethylene (PCE), trichlorethylene (TCE), and cis-1,2-dichloroethylene (cis-DCE) are from 5 L / min. It was also found that the decomposition efficiency was higher at 1 L / min. In particular, it can be seen that the decomposition efficiency of cis-1,2-dichloroethylene (cis-DCE) is extremely high under the condition of a gas flow rate of 1 L / min. This is considered to be because the time of contact with the photocatalyst is longer when the amount (flow rate) of gas flowing into the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor per unit time is reduced.
In addition, the result of the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor with the photocatalyst inserted is higher than the result of the volatile organic compound decomposition reactor with no photocatalyst inserted (ultraviolet only), A volatile organic compound in which a cylindrical titanium oxide-supported glass fiber (photocatalyst) is inserted rather than a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor in which a cylindrical titanium oxide-supported stainless steel mesh (photocatalyst) is inserted It was found that the decomposition reactor had higher decomposition efficiency.
From the above volatile organic compound reaction experiment, in the volatile organic compound decomposition treatment in which the photocatalyst cut to a size of 20 × 10 mm is placed in the vial, the titanium oxide-supported stainless steel mesh is more preferable than the titanium oxide-supported glass. The decomposition efficiency of volatile organic compounds is higher than that of fiber. However, when decomposition treatment is performed using a tubular photocatalyst in a volatile organic compound decomposition reactor, titanium oxide-supported glass fiber is more titanium oxide. It was found that the decomposition efficiency of volatile organic compounds was higher than that of the supported stainless steel mesh.
The volatile organic compound decomposition reactor according to the present invention has a very high decomposition efficiency of the volatile organic compound, and therefore can be suitably used for accurately purifying the gas containing the volatile organic compound. In particular, it is suitable for purifying gas containing volatile organic compounds in soil.
