Abstract
【解決手段】4色液晶表示装置は、互いに交差する複数のゲート線121及び複数のデータ線171、そして前記ゲート線121及び前記データ線171と連結され、赤色副画素RP、緑色副画素GP、青色副画素BP及び白色副画素WPを各々含む複数の画素を含み、前記白色副画素WPの大きさが他の副画素よりも小さく、前記各データ線171は前記副画素間を通り、少なくとも一つの屈折部を有し、前記データ線171の長さは実質上同一である。白色副画素WPの大きさを他の副画素の大きさよりも小さく設計するので、輝度を向上しながらも、色濃度の低下を防止し、躍動感のある映像を表示する。そして、副画素間を通るデータ線171の長さが実質上同一であるため、データ線171の長さ差異による負荷差が生じなく、負荷差による画質劣化を減らすことができる。

Claims (14)
- 互いに交差する複数の第1方向に延在しているゲート線及び複数の第2方向に延在しているデータ線、そして
前記ゲート線及び前記データ線と連結され、赤色副画素、緑色副画素、青色副画素及び第4色副画素を各々含む複数の画素を含み、
前記第4色副画素の大きさが前記赤色副画素及び前記青色副画素よりも小さく、
前記各データ線は前記副画素間を通り少なくとも一つの屈折部を有し、
前記屈折部は直角に屈折しており、前記データ線の長さは実質上同一である、液晶表示装置。 - 前記副画素の高さが同じであって、前記第4色副画素の横幅が前記赤色、緑色及び青色の副画素の横幅よりも小さく、
前記副画素は第1方向に順次に反復的に配列され、
隣接する前記第1方向の副画素配列が所定の副画素数ほどずれている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記副画素の第1方向配列順は、赤色副画素、緑色副画素、第4色副画素及び青色副画素であり、
前記赤色副画素と前記第4色副画素が第2方向に隣接し、前記赤色副画素と第4色副画素の前記第2方向の中心線が一致している、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記各画素は、前記赤色副画素、前記赤色副画素に第2方向に隣接する前記第4色副画素、そして前記第4色副画素に第1方向に隣接する前記緑色副画素及び前記青色副画素からなる、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記各画素は、前記赤色副画素、前記赤色副画素に第1方向に隣接する前記緑色副画素、そして前記赤色副画素及び前記緑色副画素に各々第2方向に隣接する前記第4色副画素及び前記青色副画素からなる、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副画素は1×1ライン反転する、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副画素は1×1ドット反転する、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記隣接する第1方向の副画素配列は、二つの副画素ほどずれている、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶表示装置は、副画素レンダリングされる、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副画素レンダリング時の第1論理画素は、前記赤色副画素、前記赤色副画素に第1方向に隣接する前記緑色副画素、そして前記赤色副画素及び前記緑色副画素に各々第2方向に隣接する前記第4色副画素及び前記青色副画素からなる、請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記副画素レンダリング時の第2論理画素は、前記赤色副画素、前記赤色副画素に列方向に隣接する前記第4色副画素、そして前記第4色副画素に行方向に隣接する前記緑色副画素及び前記青色副画素からなる請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第4色副画素は白色副画素である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第4色副画素と前記第2方向に隣接する前記赤色副画素、緑色副画素、および青色副画素の前記第2方向の境界線は、前記第4色副画素の前記第2方向の境界線とずれている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データ線は、前記第4色副画素、赤色副画素、緑色副画素、および青色副画素の境界線に沿って延在している、請求項13に記載の液晶表示装置。
