Claims (10)
- エンジンから該エンジンに連結された排気ラインを通して排ガスを排出するためのディーゼル排気装置であって、
前記排気ライン内に配置され、前記エンジンに密接結合された第1の微粒子フィルタであって、第1の相対的な程度で受動的再生モードで動作する第1の微粒子フィルタ、および
前記第1の微粒子フィルタと直列に位置し、そこから距離がおかれ、前記第1の相対的な程度よりも実質的に少ない第2の相対的な程度で受動的再生モードで動作する第2の微粒子フィルタ、
を備えたディーゼル排気装置。 - 前記第1の微粒子フィルタが45%より大きい初期濾過効率を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディーゼル排気装置。
- 前記第1の微粒子フィルタが、通路の総数と比較して、50%より多く施栓された通路を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のディーゼル排気装置。
- 前記第1の微粒子フィルタが、45%より大きい全気孔率、通路の総数と比較して50%より多く施栓された通路、および少なくともいくらかの未施栓通路を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディーゼル排気装置。
- 前記第1の微粒子フィルタが、60%より大きい全気孔率、通路の総数と比較して60%より多く施栓された通路、および少なくともいくらかの未施栓貫流通路を示すことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディーゼル排気装置。
- ディーゼル排気装置において、
排気マニホールドに密接結合された第1の微粒子フィルタであって、第1の割合の施栓通路および第2の割合の未施栓貫流通路を有する第1の微粒子フィルタ、および
前記第1の微粒子フィルタと直列に位置し、そこから12インチ(30.5cm)以上の距離(d)だけ離され、第1の微粒子フィルタが第2の微粒子フィルタよりも実質的に大きい程度で受動的再生を示すようにしか施栓通路を含まない第2の微粒子フィルタ、
を備えたディーゼル排気装置。 - ディーゼル排気装置を動作させる方法であって、
排気ライン内に配置された第1の微粒子フィルタに排気ガスを通過させる工程であって、前記第1の微粒子フィルタが、第1の入口温度(T1)を含み、第1の割合の施栓通路および第2の割合の未施栓貫流通路を有し、前記排気ガスが最初に濾過される工程、および
前記第1の微粒子フィルタと直列に位置し、そこからある距離だけおかれた第2の微粒子フィルタに、前記最初に濾過された排気ガスを通過させる工程であって、前記第2の微粒子フィルタが第2の入口温度(T2)を含み、前記最初に濾過された排気ガスが第2の濾過を経験し、入口温度の比(T1/T2)が1.1以上である工程、
を有してなる方法。 - 部分ウォールフロー型フィルタであって、
施栓通路および未施栓の貫流通路を備え、前記施栓通路は、ある通路が入口端に隣接して施栓され、他の通路が出口端に隣接して施栓されていることを特徴とする部分ウォールフロー型フィルタ。 - 前記入口端に隣接して施栓された通路の数が、前記出口端に隣接して施栓された通路の数よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項8記載の部分ウォールフロー型フィルタ。
- 前記出口端に隣接して施栓された通路の数が、前記入口端に隣接して施栓された通路の数よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項8記載の部分ウォールフロー型フィルタ。
