Abstract
Description
濾過効率はASTM(米国材料試験協会)D6830を用いて測定され、ミューレン破裂はASTM D461を用いて測定され、そして破壊強度および伸び率はASTM D5035を用いて測定された。
67重量部の2インチ(50mm)カット長を有する、フィラメント当たり2デニール(フィラメント当たり2.2デシテックス)メタ−アラミド繊維(E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company、デラウェア州Wilmingtonから商標Nomex(登録商標)繊維で入手可能な)および33重量部のSterling Fibers社から入手可能な2インチ(50mm)カット長を有する、フィラメント当たり0.9デニール(フィラメント当たり1.0デシテックス)アクリル繊維を含有する均質繊維ブレンドを、ベールからのステープルファイバーを組み合わせ、そして混合することによって製造した。標準カードおよびクロスラップ装置を用いて、これらの繊維を平方ヤード当たりおおよそ6オンス(平方メートル当たり200グラム)の坪量を有するクロスラップしたバットへ変換し、それを次に標準ニードルパンチ機で結び付けるかまたは軽く統合した。これらのバットの2つを、平方ヤード当たりおおよそ2オンス(平方メートル当たり70グラム)の坪量を有する、そして全体がNomex(登録商標)メタ−アラミド紡績糸からなるスクリム織物の両側に配置し、3つの層を両側で数回ニードルパンチして公称平方ヤード当たり14オンス(平方メートル当たり475グラム)濾過フェルトを製造した。比較として、100パーセントのメタ−アラミドフェルトを製造した。上記と同じ手順を用いて、1つが同じ平方ヤード当たり2オンス(平方メートル当たり70グラム)のメタ−アラミド紡績糸スクリム織物の両側に配置された、100パーセントのフィラメント当たり2デニール(フィラメント当たり2.2デシテックス)のNomex(登録商標)メタ−アラミド繊維の2つのバットを含有する3層状フェルトを製造した。両フェルトを、手順ASTM D6830を用いて濾過効率について評価し、均質ブレンドから製造した濾過フェルトの性能は、アスファルトプラントに対する放出限界値を十分に下回るものであった。加えて、ブレンドから製造した濾過フェルトの性能はまた、表1に示すように、100%メタ−アラミド構造物よりも優れていた。
実施例1のフェルトを、7.5インチ(19cm)ダブルフラット幅および5インチ(13cm)止め輪トップを有する、おおよそ120インチ(305cm)長さであるフィルターバッグへ二次加工した。バッグは継ぎ目に三重縫合を有した。バッグは次に、パルス−ジェット・バグハウスでアスファルトプラント・ダスト粒子を濾過し、約4ヶ月の運転後に、バッグを取り出し、バッグは、穴、裂傷、または擦り傷のような潜在的なバッグ破損の明らかな兆候を全く示さなかった。物理的試験を次にバッグ材料に関して行い、その結果を表2に報告する。驚くべきことに、より低温のアクリル繊維の添加はバッグ材料の引張性能に悪影響を全く及ぼさなかった。
Claims (11)
- 管状セクションと、1つのクローズドエンドと、1つのオープンエンドとを有するバグフィルターであって、前記管状セクションが、フェルト中のメタ−アラミド繊維およびアクリル繊維の総重量を基準として、
a)50〜80重量部のメタ−アラミド繊維と、
b)20〜50重量部のアクリル繊維と
の均質繊維ブレンドを含む不織フェルトを有し、
前記アクリル繊維が前記メタ−アラミド繊維に等しいかまたはそれより低いフィラメント当たりのデニールを有するバグフィルター。 - 65〜75重量部のメタ−アラミド繊維を含む請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 25〜35重量部のアクリル繊維を含む請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記不織フェルトがニードルパンチフェルトである請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記不織フェルトがスパンレースフェルトである請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記メタ−アラミド繊維のフィラメント当たりのデニールが1〜5である請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記アクリル繊維のフィラメント当たりのデニールが0.5〜3である請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記クローズドエンドが同様に前記均質繊維ブレンドを含む請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記フェルトの坪量が平方ヤード当たり8〜16オンスである請求項1に記載のバグフィルター。
- 前記フェルトの坪量が平方ヤード当たり12〜14オンスである請求項9に記載のバグフィルター。
- 少なくとも150℃の温度に加熱されたガスを、請求項1に記載のバグフィルターに通過させる工程を含む熱ガスの濾過方法。
