Description

フッ素系潤滑油組成物の添加剤成分として用いられる含フッ素化合物は、窒素原子を有するため、分子構造中に非共役電子対を持ち、金属表面に適正な配位能を発揮する。また、分子骨格中にアミド結合を持つことにより、金属表面との配位能をより安定化させるといった働きも併せ持っている。これらの高い配位能により、金属表面への吸着が強くなり、金表面、銀表面、金メッキ表面、銀メッキ表面等の貴金属表面、銅表面、少量の添加元素、例えばAg、Cd、Cr、Be、Be-Co、Te、Zn、Sn、Al、Ni、Si、Pb等との銅合金の表面に対しすぐれた耐摩擦摩耗性を発揮することができる。
含フッ素化合物の製造に用いられるパーフルオロポリエーテル酸フロライドは、公知の方法で容易に得ることができ、一般的にはヘキサフルオロプロピレンオキサイドをフッ化セシウム触媒およびテトラグライム溶媒の存在下でオリゴマー化反応させると、一般式〔IV〕に示されるようなパーフルオロポリエーテルが得られる。

また、分岐構造を持たないパーフルオロポリエーテル酸フロライドも、公知の方法で得ることができる。その一例として、一般式〔V〕に示されるようなテトラフルオロエチレンオキサイドの光酸化重合によりテトラフルオロエチレンオキサイド単位とジフルオロメトキシ単位が不規則に結合したものが挙げられる。

以上の例に示される如く、フルオロカーボン基Rfは炭素数1〜2のパーフルオロアルキレン基または分岐パーフルオロアルキレン基であり、具体的には-CF2-、-CF2CF2-、-CF(CF3)-基が示される。
調製されたグリースを、いずれも厚さ2mmの銀メッキプレート〔Ag〕、銅合金(C1100)プレート〔Cu〕、金メッキプレート〔Au〕およびステンレス鋼S45Cプレート〔Fe〕上に0.25mmの厚さで塗布し、トライボギア表面性測定機(新東化学製)にグリース塗布各金属プレートおよび用いられた金属と同材質のボールをセットし、次の測定条件下で摩擦摩耗試験を行って、試験後の各金属プレートの摩耗深さ(単位：μm)を測定した。

試験温度：80℃または140℃
摺動速度：50mm／秒
摺動距離(片道)：20mm
摺動回数：20,000回
