Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a power transmission device and a control method thereof, and more particularly to a power transmission device including a belt-type continuously variable transmission and a fluid transmission device such as a torque converter having a lock-up clutch, and a control method thereof.
Conventionally, as this type of power transmission device, a belt-type continuously variable transmission, a torque converter disposed between the continuously variable transmission and an engine as a power source, and an input side and an output of the torque converter There is known one including a lock-up clutch that directly connects to the side (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this power transmission device, based on the switching map using the throttle opening and vehicle speed corresponding to the input torque to the torque converter as parameters and the actual throttle opening and vehicle speed, the lockup by the lockup clutch and the lockup Release is executed. The switching map used in this power transmission device defines an engagement switching line (lock-up line) and a release switching line (lock-up release line), and a predetermined hysteresis is provided between both switching lines. It has been. When the lockup by the lockup clutch is released, the vehicle speed changes to the higher vehicle speed side than the engagement switching line, or the throttle opening changes to the smaller opening side than the engagement switching line. The lockup is executed by the lockup clutch. In addition, when lockup is being performed by the lockup clutch, if the vehicle speed changes to a lower vehicle speed side than the release switching line or the throttle opening changes to a larger opening side than the release switching line, the lockup is performed. The lockup by the clutch is released.
In the above-described conventional power transmission device, even if the change in the throttle opening when the lockup is executed by the lockup clutch is relatively gradual, the throttle opening changes to a larger opening side than the release switching line. Then, the lockup by the lockup clutch is released at that stage. However, when the throttle opening is increased relatively slowly, engine torque fluctuations are smaller than when the throttle opening is increased steeply. Therefore, torque is amplified by the torque converter when the lockup is released. The resulting torque fluctuation is noticeable as a shock.
In view of this, the present invention provides a power transmission device including a belt-type continuously variable transmission and a fluid transmission device having a lock-up clutch, and more appropriately releases the lock-up when the lock-up clutch is performing the lock-up. The main purpose is to make it feasible.
The power transmission device and the vehicle according to the present invention employ the following means in order to achieve the main object described above.

The power transmission device according to the present invention includes:
A power transmission device including a belt-type continuously variable transmission connected to a power generation source mounted on a vehicle,
A lockup that directly connects the input-side fluid transmission element connected to the power generation source, the output-side fluid transmission element connected to the continuously variable transmission, and the input-side fluid transmission element and the output-side fluid transmission element And a lockup clutch capable of executing the release of the lockup;
A fluid pressure unit capable of generating fluid pressure required for shifting the continuously variable transmission and supplying and discharging working fluid to the lock-up clutch so that the lock-up and release of the lock-up can be performed. When,
Sudden shift determination means for determining whether or not rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission;
When the lockup release precondition is satisfied while the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch, the sudden shift determination means determines that a rapid shift is not required for the continuously variable transmission. In this case, the fluid pressure unit is controlled so that the lockup by the lockup clutch is maintained, and a rapid shift is requested to the continuously variable transmission by the sudden shift determination means. A lock-up control means for controlling the fluid pressure unit so that the lock-up by the lock-up clutch is released,
Is provided.
In this power transmission device, when it is determined that rapid shift is not required for the continuously variable transmission when the lockup release precondition is satisfied while the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch. The fluid pressure unit is controlled so that lockup by the lockup clutch is maintained. In other words, in a situation where rapid shifting is not required for the continuously variable transmission, the torque fluctuation transmitted from the power generation source to the continuously variable transmission is small, so that the lockup is performed as the lockup release precondition is satisfied. When the lock-up by the clutch is released, there is a risk that a shock due to torque fluctuation accompanying the release of the lock-up occurs. In addition, in a situation where rapid shifting is not required for the continuously variable transmission, the amount of working fluid required for shifting the continuously variable transmission is not so large. Therefore, if it is determined that rapid shift is not required for the continuously variable transmission when the lockup release precondition is satisfied, if lockup by the lockup clutch is maintained, the lockup is released. While suppressing the occurrence of shock, the lock-up state can be maintained well thereafter.
Further, in this power transmission device, when the lockup release precondition is satisfied while the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch, it is determined that a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission. If this happens, the fluid pressure unit is controlled so that the lockup by the lockup clutch is released. In other words, in a situation where rapid shifting is required for the continuously variable transmission, the amount of working fluid required for shifting the continuously variable transmission increases. Even if the control is performed, the working fluid supplied to the lock-up clutch is insufficient and the lock-up is released, which may cause a shock associated with the release of the lock-up. Therefore, if it is determined that a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission when the lockup release precondition is satisfied, if the lockup clutch is released at that stage, It is possible to suppress the release of the lockup due to the insufficient flow rate of the working fluid and the occurrence of a shock associated therewith. Therefore, in this power transmission device, the lockup can be released more appropriately when the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch.
The sudden shift determining means determines that a rapid shift is not required for the continuously variable transmission when the change degree of the operation amount of the accelerator pedal is less than a predetermined degree, and the accelerator pedal When the degree of change in the operation amount is equal to or greater than the predetermined degree, it may be determined that a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission. That is, when the degree of change in the operation amount of the accelerator pedal is less than the predetermined degree, the degree of acceleration request for the vehicle is low, and it can be considered that rapid shifting is not required for the continuously variable transmission. On the other hand, if the degree of change in the amount of operation of the accelerator pedal is equal to or greater than a predetermined degree, it is considered that the degree of acceleration demand for the vehicle is high and that a rapid transmission is required for the continuously variable transmission. Can do. Therefore, based on the degree of change in the operation amount of the accelerator pedal in this way, it is possible to more appropriately determine whether or not a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission.
Further, the lock-up control means may be configured such that when a lock-up release condition that tends to be less established than the lock-up release precondition is satisfied while the lock-up is being executed by the lock-up clutch. The fluid pressure unit may be controlled so that the lockup by the lockup clutch is released regardless of whether or not a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission. This makes it possible to reliably release the lockup when the lockup by the lockup clutch is to be released, such as when the vehicle speed is low.
Further, the lockup control means is configured so that the lockup control is executed by the lockup clutch when a lockup condition is satisfied when the lockup by the lockup clutch is released. The unit may be controlled, and the lock-up release precondition may be a condition determined to have hysteresis with respect to the lock-up condition. This makes it possible to make the lockup release precondition more appropriate.
Further, the power transmission device may further include a pump driven by the power generation source and capable of pumping the working fluid to the fluid pressure unit, and the power generation source may be an internal combustion engine, The continuously variable transmission may be configured to be able to arbitrarily change the gear ratio in accordance with a shift operation of the driver, and the lockup control means is in a state where the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch. If the driver performs a shift operation to the downshift side and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is less than a predetermined value when the lockup release precondition is satisfied, the lockup by the lockup clutch is performed. The fluid pressure unit may be controlled so as to be released. That is, when the driver performs a shift operation to the downshift side, there is a high possibility that a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission. Also, if the internal combustion engine speed is high to some extent, the working fluid is sufficiently pumped from the pump to the fluid pressure unit, so that the working fluid required for the speed change of the continuously variable transmission due to the rapid speed change request. Although the flow rate of the working fluid supplied to the lock-up clutch is less likely to be insufficient even if the amount increases, conversely, when the internal combustion engine speed is relatively low, there is no need for a rapid shift request. There is a risk that the flow rate of the fluid fluid supplied to the lockup clutch may become insufficient as the flow rate of the working fluid required for shifting the step transmission is increased. Therefore, when the lock-up release precondition is satisfied, if the driver performs a shift operation to the downshift side and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is less than a predetermined value, the lockup clutch lockup is performed at that stage. If is released, it is possible to suppress the release of the lock-up due to the subsequent insufficient flow rate of the working fluid and the occurrence of a shock associated therewith. Therefore, in this power transmission device, the lockup can be released more appropriately when the lockup is being executed by the lockup clutch.
The fluid transmission device includes a pump impeller as the input-side fluid transmission element, a turbine runner as the output-side fluid transmission element, and a stator that rectifies the flow of fluid from the turbine runner to the pump impeller. A torque converter may be included. As a result, when it is determined that a rapid shift is required for the continuously variable transmission when the lockup release precondition is satisfied, the torque amplification by the torque converter is performed after releasing the lockup by the lockup clutch. The effect can be used.

FIG. 2 is a schematic configuration diagram of the

As shown in FIG. 3, the

Next, a control procedure of the lockup clutch 29 when lockup is being executed in the
At the start of the control routine at the time of lock-up in FIG. 2, the CPU (not shown) of the
After the data input process in step S100, a lockup off opening Aoff that is an accelerator opening when the lockup by the
If the lockup-off opening Aoff is set, it is determined whether or not the accelerator opening Acc input in step S100 is less than the lockup-off opening Aoff (step S120). If the accelerator opening Acc is equal to or greater than the lockup off opening Aoff, the lockup solenoid valve SL of the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S120 that the accelerator opening Acc input in step S100 is less than the lockup off opening Aoff, the lockup release is premised on the basis of the vehicle speed V input in step S100. A lockup-off allowable opening Aoa used to determine whether the condition is satisfied is set (step S130). In the embodiment, the lockup-off allowable opening setting map (lockup-off) that defines the lockup-off allowable opening Aoa that is the accelerator opening when the lock-up release by the lock-up clutch 29 is allowed for each vehicle speed V.
If the lockup-off allowable opening Aoa is set, it is determined whether or not the accelerator opening Acc input in step S100 is equal to or larger than the lockup-off allowable opening Aoa (step S140). If the accelerator opening Acc is less than the lock-up off allowable opening Aoa, it is considered that the precondition for releasing the lock-up is not satisfied at that stage so that the lock-up by the lock-up clutch 29 is maintained. The
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S140 that the accelerator opening Acc is equal to or larger than the lock-up off allowable opening Aoa, the accelerator opening Acc input in step S100 is input at the previous execution of this routine. The accelerator opening change amount ΔAcc per unit time is calculated by dividing the value obtained by subtracting the accelerator opening Acc (previous value) by the execution cycle dt of this routine (step S150). Next, the accelerator opening degree Acc that is input in step S100 as the reference change amount ΔAref used as a threshold value for determining whether or not a rapid shift is required for the
Subsequently, it is determined whether or not the accelerator opening change amount ΔAcc calculated in step S150 is less than the reference change amount ΔAref set in step S160 (step S170). Here, when the accelerator opening change amount ΔAcc is large to some extent, the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S170 that the accelerator opening change amount ΔAcc is less than the reference change amount ΔAref, it is determined whether or not the shift position SP input in step S100 is the S position (step S100). S180) When the shift position SP is the S position, it is determined whether or not the downshift flag Fdn input in step S100 is 1 (step S190). When the shift position SP is the S position and the downshift flag Fdn is a value 1, it is determined whether or not the rotational speed Ne of the
That is, when the driver performs a shift operation to the downshift side, there is a high possibility that the
As described above, in the
Further, in the
Further, as in the above-described embodiment, based on the accelerator opening change amount ΔAcc, which is the change degree of the accelerator opening Acc, it is more appropriately determined whether or not a rapid shift is required for the
Further, in the
In the
