Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hose that can be suitably used for, for example, toilets, kitchens, washstands, bathroom faucets, water storage tanks, dishwashers, water pipes, and other hot water and hot water supply pipes. .
Conventionally, metal pipes mainly made of copper, stainless steel or the like have been used for piping for hot and cold water supply. However, since metal pipes are hard and inferior in flexibility, there is a problem that handling properties and workability are poor. Therefore, recently, instead of metal pipes, hoses that are fastened by caulking joint fittings to both ends of a hose made of a high-strength polymer material and a reinforcing layer made of metal wires or fibers are used as piping members. It has become.
In addition, the space in which the piping for supplying hot water and hot water is provided is relatively narrow, and the length of the hose used is short, so the hose is often bent forcibly during construction. As a result, the hose may be bent and kinks may be generated. In this case, the water passage is blocked and water cannot be passed, or the amount of water flow is reduced. Was needed. In addition, in order to obtain good workability in a limited space where water supply and hot water supply pipes are provided, the hose must have excellent flexibility.
From such a point, there has been a demand for a hose that is less likely to cause kinking due to bending during construction without impairing the flexibility of the hose. In order to prevent kink, it is known to strengthen the adhesion between layers constituting the hose. In particular, it is known that adhesion between the fiber reinforcement layer and the outer layer formed on the outer periphery thereof also contributes to the durability of the hose. This means that the fiber reinforcement layer and the outer layer firmly adhere to each other where the braided eyes that make up the fiber reinforcement layer open due to repeated water pressure and bending, and the pressure resistance of that portion drops and breaks. This is because the spread of the braided eyes can be prevented. Therefore, for example, as in

Moreover, as a document relevant to this invention, patent document 2-
Nowadays, the outer layer of the hose is made of a material excellent in kink resistance, dirt resistance, cleanability, flexibility, scratch resistance, chemical resistance, oil resistance, rubber elasticity, wear resistance, mechanical strength, etc. Certain urethane-based polymers are preferably selected. However, the urethane-based polymer is often used as a fiber reinforcement layer when it is formed on a fiber reinforcement layer made of a synthetic fiber such as polyester fiber, nylon fiber or vinylon fiber, or a natural fiber such as cotton fiber. Adhesion with the reinforcing layer is particularly difficult, and there is a problem that kink resistance and durability deteriorate.
In the hose according to
The present invention has been made in order to solve such problems of the prior art, and the object of the present invention is to easily and inexpensively firmly bond the reinforcing layer and the outer layer, thereby An object of the present invention is to provide a hose that can reduce the generation of kink, has excellent handling properties and workability, and has sufficient pressure resistance and durability.
In order to achieve the above object, a hose according to
The hose according to
The hose according to claim 3 is characterized in that both the thermoplastic polymer of the coated linear body and the outer layer contain a polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer or a thermoplastic polyurethane resin as constituent materials. It is.
The hose according to claim 4 is characterized in that the linear body is a fiber bundle.
The hose according to
Further, the hose according to claim 6 is a hose comprising an inner layer tube, a reinforcing layer formed on the outer periphery of the inner layer tube and made of a linear body, and an outer layer formed on the outer periphery of the reinforcing layer. Further, a thermoplastic polymer different from the material of the linear body is disposed between the linear bodies of the reinforcing layer so as to surround the linear body.
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hose manufacturing method comprising: forming an inner layer tube; forming a reinforcing layer comprising a fiber bundle coated with a thermoplastic polymer on an outer periphery of the inner layer tube; and extruding an outer layer on the outer periphery of the reinforcing layer. It is to be molded.
In the method for manufacturing a hose according to claim 8, the outer layer is extruded so that the material temperature at the time of molding the outer layer is equal to or higher than the softening point of the thermoplastic polymer.
According to the present invention, the thermoplastic polymer surrounds a part or all of the linear bodies constituting the reinforcing layer, and the thermoplastic polymer and the material constituting the outer periphery are firmly bonded. Will do. Thereby, firm adhesion between the reinforcing layer and the outer layer is achieved. Therefore, kinks due to bending during construction can be reduced, and excellent handling properties and workability can be obtained, and sufficient pressure resistance and durability can be obtained. Moreover, since each linear body which comprises a reinforcement layer can be fixed with a thermoplastic polymer, the spreading of the reinforcement layer can also be prevented in this respect, and sufficient pressure resistance and durability can be obtained. Furthermore, as a secondary effect, the hose is cut to a predetermined length in actual use, but the linear body is firmly bonded to the outer layer by the thermoplastic polymer around the linear body. Therefore, the jumping out of the linear body on the cut surface can be prevented.
The inner layer tube used in the present invention is made of resin, rubber, thermoplastic elastomer or the like, and is constituted by a single layer of these materials or a laminate of a plurality of layers. In the case of laminating a plurality of layers, various materials are appropriately used in combination in order to obtain performance required as a piping for water supply and hot water supply. For example, a material with excellent chlorine resistance is placed on the innermost surface layer to improve durability, and the flexibility of the inner tube is obtained by combining other layers with materials that are more flexible than the innermost layer material. Is preferred. Furthermore, in order to reduce generation | occurrence | production of a kink and to improve the outstanding handleability and workability more, it is also preferable to provide an intervening layer in the outer periphery of an inner-layer tube.
The material of the inner layer tube used in the present invention is preferably made of a material excellent in chlorine resistance and flexibility, such as resin or rubber. Specifically, for example, polyolefin resin, polyamide resin, polyurethane resin, polyester resin, olefin elastomer, polyurethane elastomer, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, natural rubber, isoprene rubber, acrylic rubber, ethylene propylene Examples thereof include rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, and nitrile-butadiene rubber. A single layer or a plurality of layers are appropriately formed from these materials. Among these, it is preferable that it is comprised from the composition formed by containing polyolefin resin. Among the compositions containing a polyolefin resin, if the composition contains polyethylene and an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, the flexibility and chlorine resistance of the tube can be improved. Therefore, it is more preferable.
Polyethylene originally has a property excellent in chlorine resistance, and various polyethylenes are known and any one can be selected, but in the present invention, the density is 0.942 g / cm 3 or less. It is preferable to use those appropriately selected or combined. When the density of polyethylene exceeds 0.942 g / cm 3 , the flexibility of the tube is lowered, and the handleability and workability of the hose obtained by the present invention tend to deteriorate. However, even when the density of polyethylene is 0.942 g / cm 3 or more, it can be used without reducing flexibility by thinning a layer containing polyethylene or by appropriately blending a material having excellent flexibility. There is also.
The ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is a material in which ethylene and α-olefin are copolymerized and has excellent flexibility. Examples of the α-olefin include propylene, butene-1, pentene-1, hexene-1, 4-methylpentene-1, heptene-1, octene-1, decene-1, dodecene-1, and the like. In addition, since various ethylene-α-olefin copolymers are commercially available, they may be appropriately selected and used.
If these polyethylenes with excellent flexibility and chlorine resistance and ethylene-α-olefin copolymers with excellent flexibility are blended appropriately, it is possible to obtain tubes with particularly excellent flexibility and chlorine resistance. It becomes. In addition, it is also possible to obtain desired characteristics by adding other compounding materials to the above composition. For example, the chlorine resistance may be further improved by appropriately adding an antiaging agent or the like. Moreover, you may improve a softness | flexibility further by adding suitably the material excellent in softness | flexibility other than an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer.
The wall thickness of the inner tube is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 2 mm. If the wall thickness is less than 0.1 mm, it may be difficult to obtain sufficient chlorine resistance that can withstand actual use. On the other hand, if the thickness exceeds 2 mm, the flexibility is lowered and it becomes difficult to bend, and the handleability and workability of the hose obtained by the present invention may be deteriorated.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the above composition is formed into a tubular shape by using a known forming means such as extrusion and is subjected to crosslinking. The polyolefin resin as described above has a low heat-resistant temperature, and when used as a hot water supply hose, the temperature of the hot water transferred through the hose may reach about 90 ° C. This is because in some cases, it is necessary to increase durability at high temperatures by performing crosslinking. Examples of the cross-linking means include peroxide cross-linking, silane cross-linking, and electron beam cross-linking. In the present invention, it is preferable to employ electron beam cross-linking among these. This is because it is not necessary to add other materials such as a crosslinking agent like peroxide crosslinking and silane crosslinking, and it is possible to select a material with a high degree of freedom.
In the present invention, it is preferable to provide an intervening layer on the outer periphery of the above-described single-layer or multi-layer cross-linked tube in order to reduce the generation of kinks and further improve the excellent handleability and workability. The material of the intervening layer is preferably made of a material having excellent kink resistance and flexibility, such as resin, rubber, and elastomer. Specifically, for example, polyolefin resin, polyamide resin, polyurethane resin, polyester resin, olefin elastomer, polyurethane elastomer, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, natural rubber, isoprene rubber, acrylic rubber, ethylene propylene Examples thereof include rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, and nitrile-butadiene rubber. Of these, olefin elastomers and polyurethane elastomers are particularly preferred. The intervening layer may be formed by, for example, extrusion molding after forming the inner layer tube.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the inner layer tube and the reinforcing layer are provided with an adhesive. Adhesion of the inner layer tube and the reinforcing layer can be expected to improve kink resistance and bending flatness. When the above-described intervening layer is formed, it is preferable that the intervening layer and the reinforcing layer are interposed with an adhesive.
In the present invention, a reinforcing layer is formed on the outer periphery of the inner layer tube. When the above-described intervening layer is formed on the outer periphery of the inner tube, a reinforcing layer is formed on the outer periphery of the intervening layer. Examples of the linear body constituting the reinforcing layer include metal wires, monofilaments, fiber bundles that are aggregates of fibers, etc., and while being lightweight and excellent in durability, it is possible to improve the shielding rate by flexibility of deformation. Since it can do, it is preferable that it is a fiber bundle. With this reinforcing layer, a sufficient breaking pressure can be applied to the hose, and greater durability can be provided. The reinforcing layer is composed of a braid or winding of a linear body, but a braid is preferably used because there is little displacement of the reinforcing layer. Of course, the reinforcing layer may be a multilayer.
As the fiber bundle, various organic fibers, inorganic fibers, and the like can be used. Examples thereof include polyester fibers, nylon fibers, vinylon fibers, aramid fibers, rayon fibers, polyethylene fibers, cotton, and glass fibers. Among these, polyester fiber is preferably used in terms of strength, wear resistance, heat resistance, durability, and versatility. These fibers are braided or wound at a shielding rate of 80% or more, a twist number of 0 to 250 times / m, an alignment number of 1 to 8, a number of striking (standing numbers) of 12 to 48, and a braiding angle of 48 to 61 degrees. This is selected according to the conditions of use of the hose. The shielding rate here refers to the ratio of the fiber bundle covering the tube surface. If the shielding rate is less than 80%, kinks are likely to occur starting from the gap, and breakage from the gap in the reinforcing layer is likely during pressurization. In addition, in combination with this fiber bundle, a metal wire such as a stainless steel wire may be mixed as appropriate for reinforcement and kink resistance improvement.
In the present invention, a coated linear body coated with a thermoplastic polymer is used for the above-described linear body. Of course, it is not necessary that all the linear bodies are covered linear bodies, and linear bodies that are not coated with a thermoplastic polymer may be used as appropriate. Examples of the thermoplastic polymer include olefin elastomer, polyurethane elastomer, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, nylon elastomer, polyolefin resin, polyamide resin, polyurethane resin, polyester resin, polystyrene resin, and nylon resin. Examples thereof include resin, natural rubber, isoprene rubber, acrylic rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, and nitrile-butadiene rubber. Among these, it is preferable to be comprised from the composition formed by containing a polyurethane-type elastomer or a polyurethane-type resin. In the case where the linear body is a polyester fiber, the thermoplastic polymer can improve the adhesive strength with the polyester fiber if an ester-based polyurethane elastomer or polyurethane resin is used among polyurethane-based elastomers or polyurethane-based resins. preferable. Similarly, when other fiber materials are used as the linear body, it is preferable to use a similar material for the thermoplastic polymer covering the linear body and the linear body because the adhesive strength is improved.
The material constituting the linear body preferably has a melting point higher than the softening point of the thermoplastic polymer coated on the linear body and the extrusion molding temperature of the outer layer. When the melting point of the linear body is low, the linear body melts when the thermoplastic polymer is coated or the outer layer is extruded. In particular, when a fiber bundle is used as the linear body, the fibers constituting the fiber bundle are fused to each other, and the flexibility of the linear body is impaired.
In addition, there exists above-mentioned patent document 3 as a technique which fuses a part of linear body. However, this patent document 3 uses a twisted fiber having a core-sheath structure in which the sheath part has a lower melting point than the core part as a reinforcing layer, and melts and fixes the fiber sheath part. Therefore, the flexibility of the linear body is greatly impaired, which is not preferable.
In the present invention, an outer layer is formed on the outer periphery of the reinforcing layer. The constituent material of the outer layer is arbitrarily selected from known materials, but is a material excellent in kink resistance, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, mechanical strength, oil resistance, chemical resistance, rubber elasticity, and flexibility. Urethane polymers are preferred. Further, in the present invention, it is preferable to include a material of the same polymer as the thermoplastic polymer coated on the linear body. Here, the same system refers to, for example, urethane systems, olefin systems, ester systems, nylon systems, and the like, and more specifically refers to a relationship such as a urethane elastomer and a urethane resin. From such a viewpoint, when the outer layer is a urethane-based polymer, the thermoplastic polymer coated on the linear body is composed of a polyurethane-based elastomer or a composition containing a polyurethane-based resin. Preferably used.
The outer layer is preferably extruded on the outer periphery of the reinforcing layer. In particular, it is preferable to extrude the outer layer so that the material temperature at the time of molding the outer layer is equal to or higher than the softening point of the thermoplastic polymer covering the linear body. By doing so, the outer layer and the thermoplastic polymer of the linear body are thermally fused and integrated, and the thermoplastic polymer is disposed between the linear bodies of the reinforcing layer so as to surround the linear body. It will be in the state. As a result, the outer layer and the reinforcing layer are firmly bonded. This is intended to hold the linear body by the outer layer and the thermoplastic polymer integrated by heat fusion, so that the linear body of the reinforcing layer is completely made of thermoplastic polymer. It need not be filled.
In addition, by forming such an outer layer, it is possible to further reduce the occurrence of kinks against bending, and it is difficult for dust and dirt to adhere to the surface of the hose, and the surface can be easily cleaned. , Dirt resistance can be improved.
Many of the hoses obtained in this way are used for actual use with connecting joints attached to the opposite members at both ends thereof. As the connection joint, one processed by metal or resin is known.
In this way, the hose reinforcement layer and the outer layer are firmly bonded to each other, so that even when excessive mechanical external force or bending is applied at the time of construction, etc., excellent resistance to kink is not generated. Kink properties can be obtained and durability is excellent. Here, if wrinkles occur in the outer layer when bending is applied, it is highly possible that cracks will occur from the valleys of the wrinkles and material destruction will occur. Therefore, it is necessary to suppress the generation of wrinkles as much as possible. The above-described hose can prevent cracks due to wrinkles because the outer layer smoothness is such that the outer layer is less likely to be wrinkled when the reinforcement layer and the outer layer are bonded with good bending. .
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below together with comparative examples with reference to the drawings.

Each hose thus obtained was used as a sample to conduct tests on outer layer adhesion, kink resistance, bending flatness, flexibility, presence of outer layer wrinkles, and pressure resistance. Of these tests, the pressure resistance test was performed by connecting joints to both ends of the hose as shown in FIG. The connection joint 10 used in this test is composed of a
The six layers of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1 were used as samples, and the outer layer adhesion strength was measured as an evaluation test of the reinforcing layer and outer layer adhesion. About outer layer adhesive strength, the value which converted the result of having cut | disconnected the hose to 25 mm length and measuring 180 degree | times peel strength to kN / m is shown. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
If the hose actually used for water supply / hot water supply has an outer layer adhesiveness of 0.5 kN / m or more, it is preferable that a decrease in pressure resistance due to repeated braiding of the reinforcing layer is reduced by repeated water pressure and bending. According to Table 1, it was recognized that any hose of the example exhibited excellent outer layer adhesion because the outer layer adhesive strength was considerably higher than 0.5 kN / m. In Comparative Example 1, the outer layer adhesive strength was less than 0.5 kN / m, and the outer layer adhesiveness was not sufficient.
The six types of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1 were used as samples, and an evaluation test on the kink radius was performed as confirmation of kink resistance (handleability and workability). Regarding the kink radius, each sample was bent, and the minimum radius at which the hose kinks and bends was measured. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
Since the hose actually used as water supply / hot water supply is required to be flexible and not easily kinked in order to improve handling and workability, the kink radius is preferably less than twice the hose outer diameter. According to Table 1, since any hose of the example has a kink radius that is not more than twice the hose outer diameter, it exhibits excellent kink resistance and does not generate kink even when bent with a small bending radius. Was recognized. In Comparative Example 1, since the sheath adhesive strength is not sufficient, the kink radius is larger than twice the hose outer diameter, which makes it easy to kink.
Next, using the six types of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1, the bending flatness ratio was measured as an evaluation test for bending flatness. The bending flatness was measured by measuring the flatness of the outer diameter when bent to a radius of 76 mm. The bending flatness was determined by the formula: minor axis ÷ major axis × 100. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
When attaching a hose to a narrow or deep position, it is necessary that the hose is difficult to flatten even in a bent state. Therefore, the bending flatness ratio in this test should be high, especially 90% or more. Is preferred. According to Table 1, in any of the hoses of the examples, the bending flatness was 90% or more, and it was confirmed that the hose had particularly excellent bending flatness. In Comparative Example 1, it was confirmed that the bending flatness was less than 90% because the outer layer adhesive strength was insufficient.
Next, the bending reaction force was measured as an evaluation test of flexibility (handleability and workability) using the six types of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1 as samples. The bending reaction force was measured when bending to a radius of 100 mm. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
When attaching a hose to a narrow or deep position, it is necessary to bend the hose with a slight force, so it is better that the bending reaction force in this test is small, especially the bending reaction force is 16 N or less. It is preferable that According to Table 1, in any of the hoses of Examples and Comparative Examples, the bending reaction force was 16 N or less, and it was confirmed that the hose had particularly excellent flexibility.
Next, the six types of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1 were used as samples to perform a confirmation test for the presence or absence of outer layer wrinkles. In the confirmation test for the presence or absence of outer layer wrinkles, it was confirmed whether or not the outer layers were wrinkled when bent to a radius of 76 mm. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
When attaching a hose to a narrow or deep position, it is necessary that the outer layer is not wrinkled in order to ensure appearance and cleanability even when bent, especially when bent to a radius of 76 mm. It is preferable that wrinkles do not occur. According to Table 1, in any of the hoses of the examples, there was no outer layer wrinkle when bent to a radius of 76 mm, and it was recognized that the outer layer wrinkle was superior to the outer layer wrinkle resistance. In Comparative Example 1, since the outer layer adhesive strength was not sufficient, there was an outer layer wrinkle when bent to a radius of 76 mm.
Next, for the six types of hoses obtained in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Example 1, the breaking pressure was measured as a pressure resistance evaluation test. The test temperature was 25 ° C.
When used as a water / hot water supply hose, the breaking pressure is preferably 9.8 MPa or more. According to Table 1, the pressure at the time of destroying any hose of an Example and a comparative example is 9.8 MPa or more, and it was confirmed that it has sufficient destruction pressure. However, in Comparative Example 1, it was confirmed that the breaking pressure was slightly lower than in Examples 1-5.
As described above, the hose of the present invention can easily and inexpensively firmly bond the reinforcing layer and the outer layer, thereby reducing the occurrence of kinks and having excellent handleability and workability.
