Claims (10)
- 反射型表示画素電極を含む下基板と、
上基板と、
前記基板の間に提供された液晶層とを含み、前記上基板上に設けられ、前記液晶層を通過して前記表示電極を照射する光源を更に含むディスプレイ装置。 - 前記光源は、LED光源を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光源は、不透明電極層と、前記不透明電極層上で、前記液晶層に面した前記不透明電極層の側辺に位置するLED層と、前記LED層上で、前記液晶層に面した前記LED層の側辺に位置する透明電極層を含む請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記2つの電極層と前記LED層は、パターン化されて複数の光源部を定義する請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記不透明電極層は、パターン化されて複数の光源部を定義し、前記透明電極層とLED層は、前記全表示画素領域の上に延伸する請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記光源は、複数の帯状を含み、表示画素の各行に関連した1つまたは1つ以上の帯状を有する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光源は、白色光出力を提供する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記下基板は、前記表示画素電極と関連したアクティブマトリクス画素回路と、前記画素回路に接続する行と列アドレス導線とを更に含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記反射型表示画素電極は、屈折される請求項1に記載の装置。
- 高い周辺光の状況下で、下基板に提供された反射型表示画素電極からの反射された周辺光を用いて表示出力を提供し、前記反射された周辺光が液晶層を通過して前記光を調節し、上基板を通過するステップと、
低い周辺光の状況下で、上基板に提供された光源を操作し、前記液晶層を通過して前記表示電極を照射するステップとを含むディスプレイ装置の制御方法。
