Claims (10)

  1. タバコを含むタバコロッド及びフィルタ、
    を含み、
    前記フィルタは、表面改質活性炭を含み、
    前記表面改質活性炭は、
    活性炭と、
    前記活性炭の表面上の微細炭素粒子と、
    前記活性炭の表面上の層と、
    を含み、
    前記層は、前記活性炭上の炭化水素化合物、炭素の付加的な層、又はポリマーを含み、
    前記層がポリマーである場合、該ポリマーは、前記表面改質活性炭の全重量の約９−２０重量％である、
    ことを特徴とするシガレット。
  2. 前記炭化水素化合物は、無極性、弱極性の炭化水素化合物、ワックス、直鎖又は分枝パラフィン、又はポリマー性炭化水素を含み、
    前記炭素の付加的な層は、前記表面改質活性炭内の細孔を少なくとも部分的に埋める非賦活炭素を含み、又は
    前記ポリマーは、前記表面改質活性炭の全重量の１０−１８重量％又は１１−１７重量％の量で存在する、
    ことを特徴とする請求項１に記載のシガレット。
  3. 前記層は、炭素の付加的な層を含み、
    前記炭素の層は、前記活性炭とは異なる密度を有し、かつ該活性炭の孔径分布を修正する、
    ことを特徴とする請求項１又は２に記載のシガレット。
  4. 前記層は、炭素の付加的な層を含み、
    前記炭素の付加的な層は、前記活性炭よりも高い密度を有する、
    ことを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項３のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  5. 前記層は、ポリマーを含み、
    前記ポリマーは、無毒性、生分解性、及び／又は通気性ポリマーを含む、
    ことを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項４のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  6. 前記層は、前記微細炭素粒子を該層の容積内に捕捉し、該微細炭素粒子を該層又は前記活性炭の表面に固定し、又は前記表面改質活性炭の機械的強度を該層のない前記活性炭を超える機械的強度まで高めることを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項５のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  7. 前記層は、前記活性炭と前記微細炭素粒子を少なくとも部分的に覆うのに十分な厚みを有することを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項６のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  8. 前記層は、シガレットが喫煙される時に形成される喫煙流の力よりも大きな力で該層の表面上に前記微細炭素粒子を付着させるために帯電していることを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項７のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  9. 前記表面改質活性炭は、前記フィルタの空洞に位置していることを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項８のいずれか１項に記載のシガレット。
  10. 空洞を有するフィルタ、
    を含み、
    前記空洞は、そこに表面改質活性炭を含み、
    前記表面改質活性炭は、
    活性炭と、
    前記活性炭の表面上の微細炭素粒子と、
    前記活性炭の表面上の層と、
    を含み、
    前記層は、炭化水素化合物、炭素の付加的な層、又はポリマーを含み、
    前記層がポリマーである場合、該ポリマーは、前記表面改質活性炭の全重量の約９−２０重量％である、
    ことを特徴とするシガレットフィルタ。
