Abstract
【解決手段】シール24が断面略L字状で対向配置され、外方部材18の端部内周に圧入された芯金11とシール部材27からなるシール板26、および内輪21の外嵌されたスリンガ10からなり、シール部材27がスリンガ10に摺接するサイドリップ12a、12bを有すると共に、外方側にバックアップシール28が設けられ、これが外方部材18の端部外周に圧入される嵌合部29aと径方向内方に延びる円板部29bを備えた芯金29、および径方向内方に傾斜して延びスリンガ10の外側面に摺接するシールリップ30bを有するシール部材30からなり、この基部30aが円板部29bに回り込んでシール部材27に対向配置され、シール部材27に舌片27aが形成されて基部30aに弾性接触している。

図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、図1のシール部を示す要部拡大図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウター側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインナー側(図面右側)という。

Claims (5)
- 外周に懸架装置に取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に嵌合された少なくとも一つの内輪からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
前記外方部材と内方部材とで形成される環状空間の開口部に装着されたシールとを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記シールのうちインナー側のシールが、断面が略L字状をなして互いに対向配置され、前記外方部材の端部内周に圧入された芯金と、この芯金に一体に接合されたシール部材とからなる環状のシール板、および前記内輪の外周に圧入されたスリンガとからなる複合型のシールで構成され、前記シール部材が前記スリンガに摺接するサイドリップを有すると共に、当該シールの外方側にバックアップシールが設けられ、このバックアップシールが、前記外方部材の端部外周に圧入される円筒状の嵌合部と、この嵌合部から前記外方部材の端面に沿って径方向内方に延びる円板部とを備えた芯金、およびこの芯金に一体に接合されたシール部材からなり、このシール部材が、径方向内方に傾斜して延びて前記スリンガの外側面に摺接するシールリップを一体に有していることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記バックアップシールの芯金が、前記外方部材の端部に密着する円板部と、この円板部からさらに径方向内方に延びる内端部とからなり、この内端部に前記シール部材が接合されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記バックアップシールのシール部材の基部が、前記外方部材の端面に密着するように前記円板部に回り込んで接合されると共に、当該基部が前記シール板におけるシール部材に対向配置され、これら基部とシール部材の一方に軸方向に突出した舌片が形成され、この舌片が他方の部材に弾性接触している請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内方部材が、前記ハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された一対の内輪からなると共に、前記シールのうちアウター側のシールが前記インナー側のシールで構成され、このシールの外方側に前記バックアップシールが設けられている請求項1乃至3いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記バックアップシールの芯金が、防錆能を有する鋼板からプレス加工にて形成されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
