Abstract
【解決手段】本発明のLEDバックライト装置は、一側面の幅方向の向かい合う角が延長され一対の向かい合う壁部と上記壁部の間に凹部が形成された導光板と、上記導光板内に光を投射するよう上記凹部に収容されたLED光源とを含む。このように導光板の一側面に凹部を形成し、この凹部内にLEDパッケージを装着することによって、光がLEDパッケージから導光板内に入射される際の損失を最小化しながらLEDパッケージと導光板を安定的に位置合わせできる。

Claims (7)
- 一側面の幅方向の向かい合う角が延長され一対の向かい合う壁部と前記壁部の間に凹部が形成された導光板と、
前記導光板内に光を投射するよう前記凹部に収容されたLED光源を含むことを特徴とする、バックライト装置。 - 前記LED光源が一面に付着し、両縁が前記導光板壁部の末端に結合された板部材をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記板部材は金属基板であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記LED光源は前記凹部に嵌合されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記導光板の前記凹部側の外面には前記LEDパッケージから放出された光を前記導光板内に案内する際、光を広がるようにする凹凸が形成されたことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記凹凸は、プリズム、半円周、半円周陰刻及びこれらの組み合わせのいずれか一つから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記壁部は互いに向い合う面の基部が曲線で前記導光板に連結されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
