Abstract

Claims (5)
- ディテクタ(122)と、
前記ディテクタ(122)上にコードストリップ(12)の画像(21)を生成する光学系(15)であって、前記画像(21)が、複数の明るいストリップ及び暗いストリップ(24,25)を含み、前記コードストリップ(12)が前記ディテクタに対して相対移動する際に、前記ディテクタが互いに位相の異なる複数の正弦波信号を生成し、前記コードストリップ(12)が前記ディテクタ(122)に対して、1本の明るいストリップ(24)と1本の暗いストリップ(25)の和に等しい距離だけ相対移動したときに、各正弦波信号が1サイクルを経過するように構成される、光学系(15)と、
複数の周波数増幅信号を生成する周波数逓倍器(101)であって、各周波数増幅信号が、前記正弦波信号のうちの1つに対応し、対応する正弦波信号の整数倍の周波数を有し、前記整数倍が1倍よりも大きい、周波数逓倍器(101)と、
前記周波数増幅信号を使用して複数の位置を定義する信号補間器(102)であって、前記コードストリップ(12)が前記ディテクタ(122)に対して、1本の明るいストリップ(24)と1本の暗いストリップ(25)の和に等しい距離だけ移動することに対応して、そのようなポイントが少なくとも5つ存在するように構成された、信号補間器(102)と
からなるエンコーダ(100)。 - 前記ディテクタ(122)は、90度位相のずれた正弦関数を生成する、請求項1に記載のエンコーダ(100)。
- 前記信号補間器(102)は、第1の状態を有する信号及び第2の状態を有する信号を生成し、前記周波数増幅信号のうちの一方が所定の値を通過するたびに、前記信号が変化するように構成される、請求項1に記載のエンコーダ(100)。
- 前記整数倍は、2の整数倍である、請求項2に記載のエンコーダ(100)。
- 前記ディテクタ(122)は複数のフォトディテクタを含む、請求項1に記載のエンコーダ(100)。
